UPDATE May 2021: We-Vibe has since released an upgrade to the We-Vibe Tango X. If you’re looking into the We-Vibe Tango to figure out which one is best for you, you might prefer the article: Should I Upgrade to the We-Vibe Tango X?
The We-Vibe Tango is a small, plastic, 3 inch vibrator made by We-Vibe and sold by NiteTimeToys that packs a punch! It features a single push-button button, and it’s rechargeable via the magnetic charging port at the base. It comes in a pink, purple, or blue color.
The packaging is pretty basic. It comes in a basic white box that shows off the toy on the front as well as the text on the back. Inside, the toy is stored with the recharger, the storage bag, the instruction manual, and other aspects of the toy. The box doesn’t really stay “together” well, though, so I wouldn’t recommend keeping this box around for purposes of long-term storage. It tends to come apart relatively easily. For gift-giving and receiving the toy, though, the box works just fine.
The Tango’s design was intended to be small and discreet. Just like the We-Vibe couples vibrators, the new line of small vibrators was made small so it could fit between people easily during sex. This is why the vibrator is made so simply with such a small design. The vibrator is about the size of a finger, the controls are at the base of the toy (as is the magnetic charging pieces), and the tip of the toy features a slant to help give you the best possible pleasure for clitoral use. The toy is longer than your average bullet, but it’s about the same amount of thickness as you’d expect from an average bullet. The We-Vibe Tango is available in multiple colors as well, but the purple one is a nice, light purple that looks good with the toy.
The Tango is a rechargeable vibrator. It charges via the magnetic charging base located at the base of the toy. There is a small charging port that attaches to the charger to help it charge. The downside about this is that the charging base, which looks like a dome, can be unattached from the charger’s cord itself. This means that this little one-inch-sized dome can be lost, and if you lose it, you can’t charge the toy anymore. I’d definitely make sure to keep track of the charging dome if you want to be able to charge your vibrator again. The toy requires 90 minutes of an initial charge, and the toy is supposed to last up to two hours. We’ve tried it for about an hour, and we’ve had no issue with it needing a recharge as of yet.
The controls are very basic, and it works perfectly for the Tango. There is a button at the base of the toy that can easily be pressed in. Once you press it in, it’ll cycle through the steady vibrations and the patterned vibrations. With longer nails, it can be a bit harder to press the button (as well as if your toy is covered in lubricant), but you still can press the button with relative ease, and your toy doesn’t end up accidentally changing settings during use either.
The vibrations are intensely thuddy. They are very rumbly – especially for a clitoral toy. It’s very impressive. They aren’t the strongest vibrations out there, but they certainly feel really intense because of the rumbly/thuddy sensation. They will be enough to get most women to orgasm, but if you require really strong vibrations or don’t do well with thuddy/rumbly type vibrations, the toy may not work as well for you. Along with that, the vibrations of the We-Vibe Tango are very quiet. They can be heard in the same room if everything is pitch-quiet, but they certainly can’t be heard through a closed door or if there is some television/music on. It’s impressive that the vibrations are so quiet while the toy is so powerful.
I’m actually loving the Tango much more than the other two clitoral We-Vibe toys in the series – the We-Vibe Touch and the We-Vibe Salsa. The We-Vibe Touch is made of silicone, so the vibrations don’t transfer nearly as nicely, and the Salsa is virtually the same toy – just without the slant at the tip like the Tango has. If you want a slant in your toy for best stimulation, the We-Vibe Tango vibrator is the toy for you, but if you are fine with a regular-shaped vibrator, the We-Vibe Salsa will work fantastically too.
The best use for the Tango is definitely for clitoral use. The vibrations are strong and rumbly, and the length means that it doesn’t insert into the vagina or bum very well. However, because of the small size and how easy it is to hold, it works well for clitoral use and during-sex use. Do expect your fingers to get a slight bit numb as the vibrations go all-over the body of the vibrator, but it really didn’t bother during use.
The We-Vibe Tango can be cleaned easily as it is waterproof. It can be used with water-based lubricant and silicone-based lubricant, and it can be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap. As the Tango has a plastic body, it does pick up hair or lint, and it can easily be stored in a sock or other areas to keep the vibrator for easy use.
Overall, the We-Vibe Tango is impressive. It’s like a luxury version of the average “bullet”, and it does it well. With a rechargeable body, easy controls, a small, discreet shape, and very, very strong vibrations, the We-Vibe Tango takes the idea of a small, discreet vibrator and gives it a good, luxury vibrator spin. Thanks to NiteTimeToys for providing this We-Vibe vibrator for my We-Vibe Tango review.
