Expanding their current dildo line-up, Vixen Creations has released their largest dildo to date: the VixSkin Gambler dildo. Made from their plushy VixSkin dual-density design, this huge dildo is entirely made from premium-grade silicone. And it’s a really big toy. This VixSkin dildo is 11″ in total length, 10.5″ in insertable length, and a diameter of 2.875″. Yes, you read that right. Almost 3″ in diameter. The Vixen Creations Gambler is available from SheVibe, and it comes with a lifetime warranty from Vixen Creations.
Note: Like the SheVibe website says, this is a VERY LARGE toy. Please pay particular attention to the measurements. Honestly, that’s the most important part of this review; don’t pick this one up if you don’t regularly take huge toys.
Like all Vixen Creations dildos, the Gambler dildo comes in a large plastic tube with well-fitting black lids on both sides of the tube. The tube has basic information about dildo care on it, and it’s see-through. I’m guessing they had to custom-cut this tube larger than their usual tubes because it’s a noticeably longer length than most of the Vixen Creations tubes. The tube is fantastic for storage, and I like to keep mine around for storing the dildo.
It’s like Vixen Creations received some requests for a toy bigger than their current offerings, and they went: “Fine. You want big? Have big then!” and made the biggest toy possible with their manufacturing set-up. I mean, their next-biggest offering is the Vixskin Randy at 2 1/4″. The Gambler is 2 7/8″ – over a half an inch larger in diameter! That might not sound like much
Why do I think it’s their biggest possible size? The base is so darn slender on the Gambler dildo. All other Vixen Creation toys have a nice wide base at the bottom – about the width of the storage containers they ship them in. Gambler’s base is just as wide as the storage tube – like their other offerings – but because of the size of the dildo, this means that the base is only about 0.25″ away from the shaft of the dildo in each direction. I have no substantiated means of knowing, but I’m guessing this is about as thick as Vixen’s current manufacturing design can make a toy.
All of this attention over the size is important: the Gambler’s product photos can be really, really misleading. Not in a bad way – the photos are exactly how the dildo looks. BUT it’s hard to judge size when looking at them. Please pay a lot of attention to the measurements of the Vixen Creations Gambler dildo before picking it up. If you regularly find that most sex toy websites don’t carry a dildo large enough for you, the Gambler *might* be something to consider. If you regularly play around with Bad Dragon and Mr. Hankey’s Dildos, then you’ll be ready for the size of the Vixen Creations Gambler. When websites compare dildos to soda cans, well, the Gambler is actually about the width of a soda can. Just keep that in mind.
Now that you’ve gotten past my amazement over the size, we can talk about other aspects of the VixSkin Gambler dildo. First off, there’s the VixSkin. The VixSkin Maverick has been one of my favorite pegging dildos for the last couple of years, and that’s partially because of the amazing VixSkin material. The Gambler is no different. The VixSkin material is pretty amazing. It’s nice and plushy. It feels really nice when you squeeze it. It has a very noticeable “pillowy” feeling to it. This “pillowy” feeling is much more pronounced on the Gambler – probably because Vixen Creations made the squishy layer thicker for the larger size of the dildo. Squeezing the dildo will be very satisfying.
On that note, though, despite looking realistic and feeling very squishy, don’t expect the VixSkin Gambler to “move” realistically. The VixSkin feels amazing, but it also doesn’t slide or move around quite like biological penis skin. Just keep that in mind. Expect amazing looks and feelings – but not a perfectly replicated sensation.
The design is very detailed, though – just like most Vixen Creations realistic dildos. Expect to see the finest details in the folds along the head of the dildo. Expect to see very slightly pronounced veins – much like a realistic biological penis. The head has some pretty intense (and beautiful!) detailing that I’m pretty impressed with. It’s an all-around gorgeous dildo that looks impressively realistic. Like if you took a beautiful biological penis then chose to hit the “increase size” function a couple times on it.
Beyond that, the dildo is exactly what you’d expect: a huge dildo that’s perfectly plushy. When we’re able to get this dildo inserted, it easily makes my partner cum in a way that almost no other dildo can accomplish – except the VixSkin Maverick. He says it’s likely a combination of the slightly pronounced head, the soft, plushy material that feels realistic when inserted, and the very intense sensations of such a huge toy. However, with the size of the Gambler, it does take awhile to get this guy inserted, and we don’t usually pull it out unless we have an hour or more for playtime. But when we pull it out – oh my! It’s definitely one of those “intensely satisfying orgasms every time we use it” dildos, and I love it for that.
Despite being so soft and plushy, the VixSkin Gambler still manages to hold its shape pretty decently. It will sit up on its own base with no issue – it doesn’t tip over. It definitely has a bit of a droop in a strap-on harness – much like many dildos – but it isn’t entirely incapable of holding its own shape. It has a nice, strong core to it. It doesn’t bend or buckle onto itself during anal penetration or anything else. It makes it a pretty amazing strap-on dildo, design-wise. It goes where I point it towards without much of a fuss.
The VixenCreations has a standard dildo base. It does not have a suction-cup or any other features. The base, as mentioned above, is very thin, but it does provide enough of a “lip” for grasping during use. Over time, our Vixen Creations Maverick base has warped a bit to have more of a convex design (whereas the Gambler is currently entirely flat), but the Maverick’s base still holds the toy upright, and I expect a similar performance from the VixSkin Gambler.
The only downside is the thickness of the dildo at the base for strap-on use. This is not a dildo that’s going to fit in my regular strap-on harnesses. (My Spareparts Joque is definitely stretched to the limit when I’ve tried it.) You’ll want a strap-on harness that can use an O-ring of 3″ or 3.5″ – which means having a harness that has an adjustable O-ring design. I absolutely love my Spareparts Joque harness, and I’m sad-face about having to use any other strap-on harness with this guy. I managed to get the Vixen Creations Gambler dildo into the Spareparts Joque harness, but it was definitely near the breaking point of my harness, and I’d never really want to do it again. It took a lot of wiggling and frustration to get it there.
Unfortunately, with the dildo being this huge, there’s no condoms to be had. This dildo’s thickness has laughed at every “large sized” brand condoms I’ve tried on it. As Vixen Creations Gambler dildo is entirely made of silicone and sterilizable, this isn’t a huge issue, but I enjoy the condoms for easy clean-up. Because of the Gambler dildo ‘s huge size, though, you’ll want to make sure you have a large enough container for sterilization if you plan on sterilizing it. It doesn’t fit in most of mine, so again, make sure you know the measurements of this big guy. For regular cleaning, though, use warm water and anti-bacterial soap with an unabrasive cleaning cloth. You know: the regular drill. We’re particularly protective over our VixSkin dildos, so we only use it with water-based lubricants. If you’re going to use silicone-based, please be especially careful and spot test a small area before going hog wild.
It’s worth noting that the VixSkin of the Vixen Creations dildos are pretty sensitive to markings. As-in, don’t pick it up with fingernails – or if you’re boiling it, avoid picking it up with tongs or anything else with sharper edges. It’s more sensitive to marks when it’s very, very warm – at least in my experience. So right after boiling the dildo for sterilization, you could be especially careful.
Overall, this dildo is beyond amazing – as long as you know what you’re getting into. If you love high-quality, plushy, and huge dildos, you’re going to absolutely fall in love with the Vixen Creations Gambler dildo. Not only is it covered in the luscious VixSkin material, but it’s perfectly crafted, feels amazing during use, and is just as filling as you’d think it should be.
