Instead of hand-holding the Coral Keeper, you simply sit on top of its textured surface then move your body to enjoy its pleasure. The bumped, curved mound of the Coral Keeper offers divets and hills to explore with your body.

The protruding claw makes the Coral Keeper Uncover Creation’s first grinder that offers penetration. You can use this protruding claw as a vertical surface for clitoral grinding, but it can also be used for shallow penetration, hitting even more erogenous zones without the “deep and thick” penetration that most dildos go for.

(I’m going to be honest. I have NO idea what the design of the Coral Keeper is supposed to actually be, fantasy-creature-wise. Handcrafted from a small fantasy dildo company, the Coral Keeper is 7″ in total length with a width of 5.5″. By default, it comes in Super Soft Shore 0040 silicone (but you can email them if you’d like to see if a change is possible.) With a thick, sturdy base, the flat, untextured silicone “slab” the Coral Keeper sits on is a nice 1.25mm in thickness.

(If you’re into the Coral Keeper, definitely check out their product page! As a small business, they may change the mold periodically, and I’d want to ensure you have the most accurate measurements before picking up one of these orgasmic grinders.)

Every Uncover Creations grinder includes two black nylon straps (2.5 feet each) by default. Each strap is cut in half, and the cut end is equipped with quick-release buckles to easily strap the Coral Keeper onto whatever you’d like. The straps are also easily removable from the toy.

For this Uncover Creations Coral Keeper review, I have the Coral Keeper in their UC Trademark color of Summer Skies and Indian Silk. I have their Light Blue strap, but I do not have the Silky Smooth Upgrade or the Vibrating Bullet Hole. I also requested my Coral Keeper to be made from Medium firmness silicone instead of Soft. (You can email them if that’s something you’d like as well!)

How Does It Work???

Uncover Creations is leading the way when it comes to this new style of sex toys: grinders. You might be used to the idea of vibrators, dildos, and anal toys, but grinders are here to provide a different type of sensation. They’re specifically crafted to stay (primarily) outside of the body, offering a textured, pleasurable surface for someone to grind their hips against.

It’s honestly way more straightforward than trying to figure out some of the more complex vibrators out there.

You simply put the Uncover Creations Coral Keeper where you want it then sit on top and rub against it until you find that spots that really feel good for you.

That’s part of what makes grinders so cool. The exact pleasure spots are going to be unique to you, and you can easily control your pleasure (without having to lift a finger!) by how you tilt and move your hips and body.

It’s all about finding what works best for you while simultaneously making you an active participant in the entire experience. It feels so much more full-bodied than simply laying back and using a vibrator, honestly.

Now, I definitely have tips about how to make your Coral Keeper experience even better. I’d recommend:

• Finding a spot where you can adjust the pressure as needed. If you’re always pushed firmly up against it (or you can barely reach it for any pressure), it’s going to be hard to find the best pleasure spots for you. If you’re kneeling, this might require elevating the Coral Keeper by using those straps to wrap it around a pillow stuffed between your legs. It may also involve finding a firmer surface to kneel on so that you can get more space between you and the Coral Keeper. It just depends on your body proportions!
• Use lube! While you can (and I occasionally do!) get away without using lube on a grinder, everything feels so much better with lube. Your body will slide better against the grippier silicone material, and you’ll be able to get really nice, strong swipes of the hips without uncomfortable drag.
• Don’t use too much lube! While everything feels better with lube, if you go too hogwild, it can reduce some of the desired friction. Started with a little bit and go from there. You don’t want to accidentally reduce your stimulation either!

Even with those tips, though, learning to use a grinder sex toy is very much a learning experience. This isn’t like a vibrator. You can’t simply press it to Spot A, leave it there, and enjoy orgasms.

While I think this is part of the charm of grinder sex toys (you really get to learn more about yourself and really “get into” riding to orgasm!), it also can be frustrating when you pick up your first grinder sex toy. If you’ve always relied on your fingers or vibrators, simply grinding up against something can feel super unfamiliar.

There are lots of ways to change up the sensation, though, to find out what things work best for you. I’d recommend:

• Leaning forwards or backwards
• Leaning to one of the sides
• Tilting your hips forwards or backwards to get more less clitoral contact
• Adding more lube
• Cleaning the toy and trying again, “restarting”, if you accidentally put on too much lube
• Turning the Coral Keeper around, grinding on the claw or the side opposite the claw, depending on what you had been using
• Ordering a grinder with the optional vibrator hole and adding a vibrator
• Pressing a wand massager up against one of the sides of the Coral Keeper, causing the entire grinder to vibrate
• Moving the Coral Keeper to a firmer or softer surface to provide more/less pressure
• Fastening the Coral Keeper to a rolled up pillow to stuff it between your legs, adding more height to the grinder to better reach it for more pressure
• Adding folded towels underneath your knees so that you’re further away from the Coral Keeper, removing some of the pressure you might be feeling

It’s really just a matter of trying to find what feels best for your body. On the bright side, though, if you’re picking up a sex toy grinder, you probably have an idea that grinding sensations are going to work for you, so it’s just a matter of time!

Slip It Inside

The Coral Keeper grinder is (currently) the only Uncover Creations made for insertion. The small pronounced “claw” that protrudes from the surface of the Coral Keeper was crafted for penetration.

It’s a small claw, at less than an inch long and less than an inch in diameter down at the base.

It’s definitely designed to pleasure the entrance of wherever you slip it inside. It won’t be hitting the g-spot or p-spot, and it won’t be going deep in.

I actually love this. Since a lot of the nerve endings for vaginal pleasure are found near the entrance, you get your cake and get to eat it too. Penetration is easy and comfortable with something this slim; you don’t need a warm-up. You also don’t have to worry about bottoming out or choosing a dildo size that’s going to work for your body. If you enjoy penetration at all, the Coral Keeper’s protruding claw will work fine for you.

It adds additional pleasure in a way that my other grinders don’t without any of the downsides. Some of my “sit on” penetration toys can be too long (requiring me to change how I play with them or suffer the shocking pain if I’m not careful). Other sit-on penetration toys don’t have their g-spot parts aligned with the clitoral parts, so I have to grind in one specific manner depending on which area I want to pleasure.

I don’t have to change anything about how I use the Coral Keeper to enjoy its penetration. It’s simply there, adding a little bit extra, with none of the downsides. It doesn’t add that feeling of fullness for penetration, but it does tickle all of those nerve endings at the entrance. (You know that feeling you get when your toy/partner has just barely started sliding inside and you’re not quite sure if they’re in and it makes the best of tingles? That’s what the Coral Keeper replicates.)

It’s only downside is also the thing that gives it so many benefits: if you’re looking for fullness and depth, you can tell by the photos this won’t be it. You may be better off getting one of Uncover Creations other grinders and using it alongside an inserted dildo or plug.

Since the Coral Keeper has a wide, flat base (and literal straps to anchor it down, if you want!), this protruding claw can also be used for anal penetration if that’s your jam. It’s also slim enough for that; just make sure to add extra lube.

Coral Keeper Review: Clitoral Use

If you turn that Coral Keeper around, this protruding claw can also become a grinding point for your clitoral pleasure. This is primarily how I like to use the Coral Keeper.

With plushier labia and thicker thighs, it can be hard to get my body into the “correct” position with relatively flat grinders. My thighs push my body further away from whatever surface I’m trying to kneel on, and flat grinders can be difficult for me to get into the right spot.

(This is partially solved with Uncover Creations’ nylon strap design, honestly. I roll up a pillow, wrap the grinder’s straps around it, and slide that pillow between my legs. By elevating the grinder, it reduces the thigh thickness issue, and I’m ready to play. This is very much unique to the secure design of Uncover Creations’ grinders!)

This protruding claw gives me so much extra room to get the sensation I want from the Coral Keeper, though, while still enjoying clitoral contact. Do I want a lighter touch? Yep, I can still enjoy clitoral pressure with a light touch with its protruding length.

Do I want something to press back and forth against my clit like a finger? Yep. The Coral Keeper’s flexible silicone allows this “claw” to go back and forth against my clit, just like a finger, if I move my hips from side to side.

Do I want strong, firm pressure? That’s very possible too. The length of the claw presses a bit into the top of my labia, but I can get that pressure really nicely. When I go a bit too roughly, I end up with a wee bit of soreness in the area for a few days, but it’s more than worth it for the most flexible, customizable clitoral grinding option I’ve ever found in a grinder.

That protruding claw is doing WORK, I tell you! Doesn’t seem to matter whether you slide it inside or keep it outside.

Optional Vibrations

While my toy for this Uncover Creations Coral Keeper review doesn’t have it, Uncover Creations wants you to have all the sensation you want. That’s why your grinder can, potentially, include a vibrating bullet hole. This hole, positioned underneath the grinder, allows you to slide a vibrator into the grinder to bring it alive with some yummy vibrations.

I don’t tend to use vibrations with my grinders, so I opted out of it for my Uncover Creations Coral Keeper review, so the photos you see of my Coral Keeper have a smooth, flat underside.

If you choose to opt-in for this orgasmic treatment, though, you can expect to see a bullet hole underneath your Coral Keeper that looks a bit like the one I have on my other Uncover Creations grinder:

Coral Keeper Review: Keeping It In Place

If you’re going to grind against something, it needs to actually provide some friction back to you instead of simply sliding along with your body. This can sometimes be a frustrating game with other grinders, but Uncover Creations solved that with an innovative, yet surprisingly simple, system. They use straps.

The Coral Keeper comes with four nylon straps attached. At the end of each strap is a buckle that can snap onto its opposing sides buckle.

This means that the Coral Keeper can fasten to virtually anything that’s round. It can also do square or other weird shapes; nylon straps are pretty durable, and you aren’t going to ruin them easily if you choose an odd-shaped item.

For most people, though, they’ll probably be using these four straps to strap the Coral Keeper onto:

• A pillow
• Their partner
• A chair
• An ottoman

Each one of these nylon straps is fully adjustable. They can be adjusted down to fit the size of a slender thigh, and they can be adjusted up to fit a very large thigh. They can fit around any pillow I’ve thrown at them, and even the largest stuffed animal I owned. (It looked like a saddle at that point, but I’m not even mad.)

These straps are a godsend when you really start to enjoy yourself with the Coral Keeper. As grinding can feel a bit animalistic and passionate for me, I find that my hip movements get more powerful. As they get more powerful, it’s more likely to slide the grinder out from under me; I’ve had that problem before.

The thing is: I don’t have that problem with the Uncover Creations Coral Keeper. Those straps keep it amazingly in place. Even if I’m not using the straps, the silicone base of the grinder provides enough friction to keep the toy in place too. I’ve never had this grinder slide or move underneath me; it stays in place even if I most definitely am not.

The nylon straps can also be completely removed. I’ve used the Coral Keeper on my desk chair, multiple times now, without any straps. The silicone material does a surprisingly great job of “sticking” to a lot of surfaces. If it isn’t a fabric, it stays in place pretty well all on its own.

Those straps can pop on and off of the grinder sex toy within a minute. It just requires stretching the silicone at the strap attachment locations then feeding the straps through the opened hole. You can “reequip” the straps by repeating the same process. I wouldn’t want to do it daily, but removing and readding the straps is simple enough that I don’t think twice about changing things up.

Can I Put the Uncover Creations Coral Keeper on a Partner?

You can – and we have. In fact, it’s my favorite way to use it!

The straps of the Coral Keeper mean that this grinder toy can wrap around pretty much any part of your partner’s body. You could fasten it to someone’s upper arm if you really wanted. Instead, we’ve found that the chest and the thighs tend to be the best spot.

The thighs are great if you want to lean forward, cowgirl-esque, to make out with your partner while grinding against the Coral Keeper on their thigh. It’s like a makeout session with some serious extra heat. Zero complaints.

The chest can also be great – especially for femdom play. I can grind up against the Coral Keeper, almost near their face, and then transfer over to their face when I want. It’s like a tease that they can’t constantly have me, but I’m just so close to where they want me.

If playing on the chest, you’ll probably need to support more of your own body weight. A ton of weight on the chest can make it difficult for them to breathe. If you want to go hog wild and not worry about it, I’d definitely recommend the thighs instead.

Compared to the Tentacle Grinder II I have, I really love horizontal grinding with the Coral Keeper. The protruding “claw” on the grinder makes a really great spot for clitoral pleasure, and I find I like moving back and forth more often with it than with the Tentacle Grinder II. (I tend to push towards into the Tentacle version). This has made it a better fit for us for the chest positioning since I can flick forward towards his face. ;)

I really love that the Coral Keeper is comfortable to place onto my partner. Before we discovered the magic of Uncover Creations toys, we tried other grinders. Most of them have plastic shells with firm edges (like the Rocks-Off Ruby Glow). When I’d grind on top of the Ruby Glow while it was on my partner, it’d press painfully into his body, and we only tried that twice before entirely abandoning the idea of shared grinder fun.

That is, until Uncover Creations. Since their grinders are made entirely from silicone, they conform around your partner’s limbs instead of biting into the flesh. The edges of the silicone don’t offer any firm pressure. Instead, they just rest on top of your partner’s flesh. Even the straps aren’t noticeable. Laid flat, my partner doesn’t notice the nylon underneath the grinder at all; he just feels the pressure of my body weight on top of him.

Really, if you want to grind on a sex toy on top of your partner’s body, I can’t think of anything that would be more comfortable than an Uncover Creations grinder. 2 for 2 now, they’ve been some of the most comfortable toys we’ve ever used for grinding. They’ve knocked it out of the park.

Uncover Creations Coral Keeper Review: Let’s Talk Customization

You can customize virtually everything about the Coral Keeper aside from the shape itself. I’m talking about things like:

• Grinder color combinations
• Strap color
• A silky smooth finish for the silicone
• A built-in hole to allow you to use bullet vibrators inside the Coral Keeper

Uncover Creations is keeping true to the small fantasy toy creators by still allowing you to choose and customize your colors. If colors aren’t your jam, you can save a bit of money by letting Uncover Creations choose for you, but if you love your options, you can choose from solid and marbled color combinations. (You can also choose their UC Trademark version which is a color combination they think looks best on the Coral Keeper toy!)

If you’re not sure which color to get (I was the same way), they usually list inspirational coloration photos at the bottom of most of their product pages.

If you want to make sure that your straps match the beautiful colors you’ve chosen, you can adjust that too. By default, the Coral Keeper includes black nylon straps, but you can swap them out for other colors to better match your toy.

Honestly, I’m beyond-pleased with my color and strap combination. I know black would have worked to hold the toy in place, but I think the blue straps really bring the entire visual of the toy together in a way that wouldn’t have happened with a black strap. I’m going to say it’s money well-spent.

If you aren’t fond of grippier silicone, Uncover Creations also offers their Silky Smooth Upgrade to the Coral Keeper. They coat your toy in an additive derived from Durian tree nuts to smooth out the silicone, helping the toy “glide” against skin instead of the grippier feel of standard silicone. While I love their toys, Uncover Creation’s default silicone does seem to be on the grippier side of silicones, so if you want a glide, I’d highly recommend this add-on. (It also adds a nutty scent to your toy and can be an allergen for people allergic to tree nuts, so keep that in mind!)

Finally, don’t forget about that optional vibrating bullet hole chamber you can add underneath the Coral Keeper! If you’re on the fence and have the budget flexibility, I’d go for it. It doesn’t impact the use of the Coral Keeper at all, but it leaves your options open down the road if you want to add vibrations. It’s a bit like leaving the pleasure door open in case you want to explore something new in the future.
