The “Little Bit Naughty Book of Lap Dancing for your Lover” is a small, pillow book manufactured by Amorata Press. It’s part of the “Little Bit Naughty Book of…” series of books that they publish. This one is written by Rebecca Drury, is a hardcover book, and it has full-color pages on the inside. The book has 96 pages which are divided into 5 chapters. The book has a ton of pictures, so I’d say that only about 50 pages of this small book is actual text. It’s a very short read, and it only takes about 20 minutes to read the entire book. The book is small in size as well; it’s only about four inches tall and three inches wide. The pictures inside includes nudity, so this is not really a book to read in public.
This book basically follows Rebecca Drury while she teaches you all of the steps that you need to learn how to lap dance. There are lots of pictures of the author (I think. They’re all the same woman, so I assume they’re the author). These pictures feature the author in various states of undress in various different outfits. The author is a pretty skinny, attractive woman. I personally don’t find myself identifying with the author, but other people might. The pictures are neat and usually go along with what the book is trying to present though.
This book can easily be read in a short period of time. That is why this book is optimal for those who don’t have a lot of time but do want to give their partner a sexy dance. Is it an amazing, comprehensive book on giving a lap dance? No. However, the book does focus really nicely on having the confidence and portraying it which is a large part of giving a lapdance. It also focuses a lot on some of the non-technical aspects including things like having eye contact, having confidence, and being ready with whatever song you choose.
This book does include actual techniques as well. Each one of the “how-to-do” moves has one page. Half of the page is a picture of the model doing the pose while the other half of the page is text describing how to do the move. Because it’s a book, it’s just really hard to imagine how to do some of the moves. The book also only gives about ten different moves which, as you can imagine, won’t last very long if put into a song. It takes a couple different times of reading over the text to try and understand what the book was telling you to do. This isn’t a horrible thing, but I believe that the book made the text a bit hard to understand.
While it is a good read, it left me wondering abot a lot of things. For one, what music should I be picking for my lap dance? For another, how do I rub up against him in a sexy way without putting too much weight or being too stressful on my body? What are some of the sexiest ways to take off my clothing? That isn’t to say that the book isn’t a good book, but I feel like it’s a very basic account of how to give a lap dance that, while it gives some of the basics, it shouldn’t be considered a comprehensive guide. If you really want to learn how to lap dance, I highly recommend purchasing a couple different books (or DVDs) to get the full effect and knowledge that can be provided.
The book focuses on a couple different areas of lap dancing. It starts off with an introduction and how to prepare for your lap dance including how to dress, making an entrance, and using a garter. It then moves onto the “style” of your dance including how to keep eye contact and why it’s important. From there, it moves onto the collection of dance moves. After that, it gives you a full little “routine” to follow which just tells you the dance moves to use, step-by-step, for the best effect. The book ends by including how to make-up your own fantasy character, commonly asked questions, and a short interview with a lap dancer.
Is that to say that the book isn’t useful? No. It is. It’s a short, easy read that makes me feel like I know more about doing an erotic lap dance. However, it’s not the best book out there nor the most comprehensive. I actually feel like it left me with some questions instead of answering all of the questions I had. It had some sexy pictures, though, and if you’re looking for a decent introduction to lap dancing, this book does provide. Thanks to Amorata Press for providing this Pocket Book for my “The Little Bit Naughty Book of Lap Dancing For your Lover” book review.
