The Tantus Neo butt plug is a basic silicone anal plug sold by SheVibe. Available in both a purple or black color, this butt plug is made entirely from silicone. About five inches long as well as with a diameter of about an inch and a half. The Neo butt plug has a slim, yet flared, base that makes it anal safe as well as a retention area that’s about an inch long.

The packaging for the Tantus Neo butt plug is similar to most Tantus anal toy packagings. It comes in a plastic, see-through box that shows off the Tantus Neo clearly. Inside the box, the Neo itself is in a plastic tray that keeps the silicone plug from moving around. My Tantus boxes tend to break or rip after awhile, so I always recommend finding a different way to store your sex toys for long periods of time.

The Tantus Neo is a very simply-designed plug. Some of the Tantus dildos are made from a silicone that tends to be a bit draggy and tends to require extra lubricant to be comfortable. Luckily, the Tantus Neo is not one of those items. The silicone that the Neo uses is extremely silky and extremely smooth, and your hands run over it nicely. This is great because it doesn’t “absorb” lubricant nearly as quickly, and it makes everything more comfortable. Along with this, the plug has no texture at all, so it inserts really smoothly.

A problem that can be common with many anal toys is that they can be difficult to insert. This can be seen in things like the Tantus Silk. This is because the entire toy is flexible, and instead of pushing “in” against tight anal muscles, the toy will fold in on itself. It’s nice to see that the Tantus Neo doesn’t have that issue. Because of where the flexibility is (in the retention area instead of in the plug’s girth itself), the plug does a great job of going in pretty easily as long as you are gripping it near the base of the girth versus at the base itself. Even gripping at the base itself works surprisingly well as long as you’re relaxed and things are going smoothly.

The Tantus Neo has an interesting base design. Instead of being a large, circular base, the Tantus Neo has a base that’s long and slender and designed to fit between the cheeks. Much like the Fun Factory Bootie and Boosty anal plugs, this base works out wonderfully. Since it’s made from a flexible type of silicone, the silicone doesn’t poke uncomfortably against your skin and it, for the most part, stays away from poking during natural movement and EVEN sitting! (Getting a plug that’s comfortable for sitting can be difficult.)

This silicone butt plug stays in pretty nicely. I’m actually impressed. It feels a little more “stable” and “long-term” than some of the other extended wear anal plugs that I’ve tried. It doesn’t seem to have too much of an issue with slipping out, and I think that has a lot to do with the larger girth that it has. Once it got adjusted in a bad angle, and it poked a bit uncomfortably, but aside from that, there was no issue with the plug staying in. It stayed in while walking around, and while it did feel a bit large for doing “routine” things comfortably with just a plug in, it did stay in for all of it.

I would recommend this butt plug for beginners or intermediate anal players. The size is surprisingly good for that. It’s a bit larger in diameter than I’d recommend for most beginners, but it IS do-able as long as you’re willing to go slowly and be patient. It’ll feel large, but as long as you’ve had some sort of anal experience in the past (and it doesn’t require much), I think the size will be just fine. At the same time, it’ll work for intermediate users because it does have some girth to it. However, if you’re used to larger-type anal plugs, the Tantus Neo may not have enough girth to be satisfying. In those cases, though, it works as a step-up plug to warm you up for the larger plugs, or it also works fine for wearing out in public with the smaller size.

As this butt plug is made from pure silicone, it’s very simple to clean. If you want to fully sterilize this anal toy, you can use boiling water or a bleach/water solution. For regular cleaning, though, you can use warm water and antibacterial soap, and that will clean up this anal toy just fine. It’s only compatible with water-based lubricants since the plug is made from silicone. However, I use Wet Platinum with this plug with no problem, so that’s something to keep in mind if you want to switch it up for a longer-lasting lubricant. As for the plug itself, the Tantus Neo doesn’t seem to pick up too much hair or lint (due to the nice, silky smooth silicone it’s made from), but you still may want to keep it in a plastic bag or just keep it away from any hair or lint.

Overall, the Tantus Neo is a good anal plug. It has a good size to it, and the base makes it comfortable for long-term or short-term wear. The silicone that the Neo sex toy is made from is very silky smooth, and it inserts comfortably without a ton of extra lubricant (or being worried about having to regularly reapply lube). It’s easy to insert, and really, a pretty impressive anal plug for the price.
