The Tantus Curve is a silicone, body-safe dildo sold by this sex toys store. It is six inches in length (although curved) and has a diameter of 1 and 1/2 inches at the widest point. This dildo does include a base which makes it harness-compatible as well. The dildo has a slight curve to it which should provide slight g-spot and p-spot stimulation. This dildo can be used anally because it has a flared base. The Curve does include slight little ridges along the underside which I couldn’t feel during use, but it still helps the dildo look neat.
The packaging for the Curve seems to be a bit different than what I’m used to. The Curve comes in a small little plastic bag with a cardboard label at the top sealing it up. This packaging probably wouldn’t be good for storage, and after you open up the Curve, you are probably going to want to throw this packaging away since there’s no way for it to be resealable. It does give some of the features of Tantus products, and if you want product care information, it tells you to go to the Tantus website.
The dildo itself is a gorgeous purple color. It’s really hard to describe. Other Tantus products usually end up looking really shiny, but the Curve is a nice, multi-purple matte color that ends up looking more “mature” than other dildos if that makes any sense. Along with the pretty purple color, the edges of the base actually look a bit black. The head of the dildo does have a slight ridge around it to give it a somewhat-realistic look while the ridges and the extreme curve of it make it look a bit more unrealistic. The Curve is made from silicone which means that it is a bit flexible so it’s much easier to insert than a plastic toy. This does not have a hole at the bottom of the base to insert a bullet – it’s just a dildo and does not vibrate. (You could hold a vibrator up against the base during use and it would vibrate though.)
During use, it did do a nice bit of g-spot stroking. I wouldn’t call it amazingly pleasure, but it was pleasurable. The only thing that stopped it from being amazing was the fact that it does have that flexibility. Because it’s so flexible, it ends up not being able to provide as much pressure as I’d like, but I honestly can’t say I’m complaining too much – just being able to provide pleasure from my g-spot is something that a lot of sex toys can’t do. The Tantus Curve just seems to have the right, “extreme” angle that I need for pleasure which makes it very useful for me.
Along with working well for vaginal use, it actually works really well for oral use. Yes, oral use. Because it doesn’t have any sort of icky taste, you can slide this into a harness and use it to have your lover give you a blowjob. Because it is slightly shaped like a phallus, this can make it more “realistic” as well. It was the perfect length for us – a bit challenging but not too large.
When it comes to being put into a harness, this is probably my favorite Tantus dildo for harness use. Most other Tantus dildos have a very flimsy base and it never supports the dildo properly in the harness, but with the Curve, the dildo is supported just fine. The base is thick enough and large enough to make it comfortable to use, and the dildo ends up keeping strong and normal-looking. Because of the nice curve, it actually feels really fun to wear too just because it points upwards while wearing it.
Of course, another good use for the Curve is anal use. Because of the flared base, it’s safe for anal use. Because of the nice curve, this can hit the p-spot in some males. Plus, the diameter isn’t too large which makes it perfect for anal use for intermediate anal users. (It’s a big large for a newbie, but for someone who’s had a couple tries at anal, this is a good size.) The boyfriend says you can actually feel the ridges on the shaft of the toy during anal use even though I couldn’t feel them during vaginal use, so I guess the ridges do come in handy for something.
When it comes to cleaning, the Curve is made from pure silicone which means that it’s extremely easy to clean. You can just use warm water and antibacterial soap, or if you want to be an overachiever (or sterilize your toy for couple’s use), you can boil this in water for three minutes to sterilize it. For lubricant, your safest bet is to use water-based lubricant, but high-quality silicone-based lubricant will also work with it. (We use Wet Platinum.) Always spot test on your dildo before you go all-out with the lubricant. For storage, I recommend you find something other than the original packaging. I haven’t had much problem with the dildo collecting lint, but it might be a bit awkward to just leave it out on the shelf.
The Tantus Curve ends up being a nice, high-quality dildo all around. I really can’t imagine a use that the Curve wouldn’t work for. It’s a good toy for couple’s use or just for solo use. It’s amazing with your harness or just by itself. Really, if you want a good quality dildo, the Curve fits the bill. The only thing that may leave some people wanting is if you enjoy a larger sized dildo – this one has a moderate diameter. Tantus sells the Tantus Curve on their website, so thanks for checking out my Tantus Curve dildo review!
