The Tantric Nirvava Massager by is a silicone massager that takes two AAA batteries for use. It’s available in red, pink, and purple, and it features ten different patterns. It has beautiful designs throughout the shaft of the vibrator, and the main design is floral-like and has hearts.
The packaging of the Tantric Nirvana massager is pretty typical for California Exotics packaging. It’s a plastic box that is see-through and allows you to see the toy inside the packaging. The packaging is purple themed, and it mostly just includes design aspects without any naked people on the packaging. Inside the clear box, there is a tray that holds the sex toy. No part of it is recyclable.
The design of the Tantric Nirvana Massager includes the silicone portion (the purple) as well as the plastic parts (the black). There’s a button at the base of the vibrator, and the base also unscrews to allow you to put in the AAA batteries. The silicone isn’t very plushy, and it’s pretty rigid without much give to it as well.
So, I’m so, so, so, so, SO much in love with the design of this vibrator. It’s absolutely beautiful, and it’s one of the more fairy-tale-like, romantic-type vibrator designs I’ve seen. The shaft itself has a floral-like design to it with little “hearts” that come off of the vine-like flowers. On the backside of the vibrator, there’s actually part of the black plastic missing that lets you see the purple hearts through the black portion. I took a picture of it as I suck at describing the look of it, but both the submissive and I absolutely fell in love with the design and declared it one of the prettiest vibrators we’ve ever seen.
The control for the Tantric Nirvana Massager vibrator is actually pretty unique as well. It has the single button, and instead of actually having a small button at the base, the entire base is actually a button. That pretty diamond-shaped button at the base? Yes, that’s the control button. The button allows you to go through the 10 different vibration functions of the vibrator including the three steady patterns. To turn off the vibrator, you can just hold down the button for three seconds.
The vibrations are definitely on the moderate side. They may not be strong enough for orgasm for most people, and as the vibrator runs on two AAA batteries, I wasn’t expecting too much power. The vibrations can be heard in the same room, but they probably won’t be heard through a closed door. The vibrations are much, much quieter when inserted into a body versus using it as an external vibrator as well.
For use, the Tantric Nirvana vibrator does seem a be good in design, but I’m not sure the vibrations will be strong enough to get people to orgasm. The vibrations are definitely on the buzzy side and weaker than most, so as long as you’re sensitive to vibrations, I think it’ll work, but if you aren’t sensitive, I’m not sure the vibrations will be enough.
As a note, I’ve had two copies of the Tantric 10-Function Nirvana. The first one that came was defective. The battery compartment was way too tight, and the vibrator wouldn’t turn on. (The batteries would NOT come out for anything). So if you have one like that, consider the fact that it may be a defective sex toy. A well-working one has an easy-slide-out battery compartment and it turns on easily.
The button, while being extremely unique, is almost a little TOO easy to push. If you don’t watch it, it’s pretty easy to press down on the vibrator’s button without meaning to – especially if you tend to hold the vibrator near the base.
Another issue with the vibrator is that the vibrations don’t seem to be as well-focused as I’d like them to be. The vibrations, while strongest in the head of the vibrator, also seem to transfer throughout the handle and the middle shaft of the vibrator as well. This leads to the fingers feeling relatively numb in a short period of time. As I’m especially sensitive to the annoyance of “numb fingers”, this really bothers me, but it may not bother you nearly as much.
Cleaning this vibrator can be more difficult than other similar sex toys. This vibrator doesn’t appear to be waterproof, so you’ll want to be careful of getting water into the battery compartment. Another unique cleaning concern is the design of the in-laid design in the black. Most people probably won’t get bodily fluids in there, but if your hands were lubricated, you’ll need to take a q-tip or something into that in-laid design to get all of the lube out.
As the entire bottom detaches from the sex toy itself, you also could run it under water and be careful about getting it near the electrics itself.
For lubricant, it’s only compatible with water-based lubricant, and it easily slides into a condom for multiple-person use. The silicone doesn’t appear to pick up a lot of lint or hair, so you can easily leave it out wherever you’d like for storage.
Overall, I love, love, love the design and the functions of the Tantric Nirvana vibrator. I really, really wish the vibrations were strong enough for me. In fact, I may marry California Exotics if they come out with a C-battery vibrator that shares this design as I REALLY love the design of the Tantric line and CalExotic’s C-battery toys are usually strong enough for me. With this particular vibrator, though, if you’re looking for a tease or are more sensitive to softer vibrations, I do recommend it.
