Crafted as an affordable suction vibrator, the Satisfyer 2 is a straight-to-the-point toy designed for clitoral stimulation. Powered by 2 AAA batteries, this vibrator has a plastic body with a small, removable silicone tip clitoral tip. The toy is designed to be waterproof, and it features 11 power levels of steady vibrations. The Satisfyer 2 does not have different clitoral tip sizes, and what you see is what you get with the tip.
Since this toy was released, Satisfyer has released multiple newer suction vibrators – including the Satisfyer Pro 2. A small blurb about their comparison is included within this Satisfyer 2 review.
Like most Satisfyer toys, the packaging for this sex toy is very straight-forward. The suction vibrator comes packaged in a plastic tray within a thin cardboard box. The box includes a decent chunk of information about the vibrator. You might choose to store the vibrator within this tray in the box, but it’s honestly a tight fit (with the instruction manual that’s included). And if you don’t use the included tray, the thin cardboard tends to collapse under the lightest bit of weight. So maybe the original box isn’t the best storage method. In addition, as mentioned, this vibrator comes with a very thorough instruction manual for the vibe. The toy does not include the necessary 2AAA batteries for use.
The Satisfyer 2 has a pretty simplistic design where every part is designed to come together and do its part. To start, the tip of this vibrator is lined with a removable silicone clitoral “tip”. It only comes with the one size. You can purchase replacement tips on their website, but it’s the same design. (I’ve honestly never had an issue with any suction vibrator fitting my clitoris correctly, but if you know you have a larger-than-average or smaller-than-average clitoral size, the Satisfyer 2 may not be a good fit for you.) The rest of the toy is entirely made from smooth plastic. On the shaft of the toy, you’ll find a power button, an increase intensity button, and a decrease intensity button.
At the base of the toy, the pointy end of the toy can be twisted off in order to insert the required 2 AAA batteries. The toy is designed to run 2 hours on that set of batteries. It’s interesting, actually. I haven’t reviewed or played with a battery-operated sex toy in awhile. The Satisfyer 2 has the benefit of never requiring a charge up from an outlet. And the batteries insert really nicely. This is one of the nicest and easiest battery compartments I’ve used in well, a long time. Just a slight twist of the base of the vibrator and the battery compartment pops open. Lubed hands or not, it works great. I’ve never had it pop open when I don’t want, and it’s entirely hassle-free when I do want it. Brilliant design on that.
This suction vibrator operates pretty simply. There are three buttons on the shaft. One button is the power button – which turns the toy on and off. There isn’t a whole lot of complicated on this toy. There are no patterns to mess with or anything else. Just “more powerful” or “less powerful”. Simple and easy to use. The buttons pretty down pretty nicely, and even with lubed hands, I’ve never had an issue with pressing the buttons. They don’t press accidentally, and it’s about the perfect amount of “pressure” to activate them.
When it comes to the noise, this is where you’ll want to be a bit cautious. The Satisfyer 2 is definitely not a quiet toy. Like all suction toys, it’s noticeably louder when it isn’t pressed into a body – and actively ‘suctioning’. But it’s loud both on and off of the body. When off the body, it’s easily audible through a closed door – even with music or television playing. It’s aggravatingly loud when it’s not on a body, honestly. However, once the vibrator is pressed against a body, it gets a whole lot quieter. It goes from aggravating to very-tolerable – almost to the point of entirely ignorable. When actively doing its pleasure job, it’s still not quiet – but you can cover up the noise by turning up the television or music.
And about the power? Well, it’s okay. Compared to other, current suction vibrators, the power is nothing to write home about. It honestly feels like more of a vibration than a suction – but it is a vibration that surrounds the clitoris, so there’s something to be said for that. I wasn’t expecting a lot from a very cheap (compared to most suction vibrators) toy that’s battery operated, and that’s about what I got. It’s not likely going to be enough if you require strong sensations, but if you like a lighter touch, it might be an okay toy for you.
It also doesn’t really provide a “true” suction vibrator experience. It seems to have some suction built-in, but the vibrations and other sensations seem to be stronger and overwhelm the sensation of the suctioning. Compared to my other suction vibrators, I wouldn’t say that this one strikes me as being focused on the suction. Instead, it seems like the vibrations overwhelm the soft suctioning that the toy may provide. So if you don’t find that the Satisfyer 2 is a good suction vibrator for you, don’t give up hope. It could just be the vibrator itself. There are certain sacrifices you have to make to keep price down with a toy that has technology like this, and a softer suction must have been one of them. (It’s also worth remembering that Satisfyer has released a newer version of this suction vibrator – and a whole other line of suction vibrators – since this toy, so you can always try a newer version – which I can say is a lot more focused on the suction.)
(As a note, you can feel the suction sensation of the vibrator a LOT better on the lowest settings of the Satisfyer 2. If you’re curious about the suction itself, try the lowest couple levels – and the suction really shines there. As the intensity of the toy goes up, the vibrations tend to override the sensation of the suction.)
Satisfyer has since come out with the Satisfyer Pro 2. According to their market copy, the Satisfyer Pro 2 has a stronger motor and quieter sound. Both versions are waterproof and feature the same suction vibrator design. The Satisfyer Pro 2 is a rechargeable toy with a built-in battery while the Satisfyer 2 is battery-operated. The Satisfyer Pro 2 has moved around the button design and provided a more rounded, contemporary look. It does, however, come with double the price tag, so that’s worth keeping in mind. You can read my review over the Satisfyer Pro 2 here on Kinky World.
So what’s the actual verdict between the two versions? I honestly don’t notice much of a difference in power. The Satisfyer Pro 2 seems to have much buzzier vibrations; they seem to numb my body a whole lot faster than the Satisfyer 2 vibrator. It’s surprising when I compare them side-by-side. However, when it comes to noise, there’s a much more noticeable difference. I’d say that the Satisfyer Pro 2 is about half as loud as the Satisfyer 2. Both of them are noticeably quieter when pressed firmly up against the body (to engage the suction design), but the Satisfyer Pro 2 gets MUCH quieter than the Satisfyer 2 does. Which one of the toys will be a good fit for you depends on your privacy needs and your preference for battery versus rechargeability.
Back to the Satisfyer 2: cleaning. When it comes to cleaning, this suction vibrator was designed to be waterproof. I’m not entirely sure I’d 100% rely on that designation, though. I’ve been pretty careful when cleaning it under any direct water, and it’s survived okay thus far. Like other Satisfyer toys, the “tip” of the toy (where the clitoris is designed to contact the toy) is entirely removable. It can be cleaned on its own without involving the rest of the vibrator. Warm water and anti-bacterial soap will clean up the vibrator pretty easily – and you can use a washcloth if you want to avoid running any water directly onto the Satisfyer 2 itself. Lubricant-wise, if you choose to use any (there’s no reason to if you don’t want to), I’d stick with water-based lubricant to avoid harming the silicone of the clitoral tip.
Overall, the Satisfyer 2 can be an affordable suction vibrator if you’re sensitive and prefer a softer sensation – or if discretion isn’t too important to you. It isn’t the best example of a suction vibrator out there, but it also is 1/8th of the cost of some of the best examples of a suction vibrator. Regardless of its suction capabilities, the sensation still surrounds the clitoris – which can be an enjoyable and very-different sensation compared to standard vibes. The battery-powered aspect of the vibrator makes it easy to swap out batteries mid-session if necessary, and the straight-forward design means you won’t be hassling with trying to learn how to use your new toy. Just press a button and enjoy. Thanks to Satisfyer for providing this suction vibrator for my Satisfyer 2 review.
