Rianne’s Forbidden Fruit Vibrator Review

Rianne's Forbidden Fruit Vibrator
The Forbidden Fruit vibrator and the base and the lid

The Forbidden Fruit vibrator is a unique, discreet vibrator sold by Babeland Toys. The Forbidden Fruit vibrator is made of plastic and is rechargeable via the personal charging base that the toy comes with. The control structure for the vibrator is on the top of the toy, and the entire sex toy resembles an apple. The Forbidden Fruit vibrator is three inches tall and three inches wide, and it includes adapters for European and Austrailia use.

The packaging looks really nice. The packaging actually reminds me of a fashion magazine layout; it really does have a lot of attention paid to detail and high-fashion photography. The box for the Rianne’s Forbidden Fruit is very sturdy, and it will hold the vibrator safely if you choose to keep it in the box. The box includes a seperate area where the Forbidden Fruit and the charging stand are stored, a charger, a storage bag, charger adapters for different regional areas, an instruction book, warranty information, and a promotional book for some of the other Rianne’s products. The promotional book is very sexy and features high-fashion photography to promote their products; it looks fantastic!

I love the design of this. Absolutely LOVE it. The vibrator is shaped completely like an apple. The controls for the vibrator are located at the top of the apple, and the little green “stem” functions as a little joystick to pick which functions you want. You can also push it in to turn on the vibrator. The base of the toy has the two connecting points for the rechargeable aspect, and the toy comes with a cute base and lid for the toy to recharge on. The toy does look pretty discreet, and the nicely-rounded aspect of the vibrator makes it really easy to hold onto. It’s just such a downright unique design, and I love it.

This vibrator from Rianne’s is rechargeable as well. To charge the toy, you just have to put it into its base and plug the base in. When its charging (it comes fully charged!), the toy’s LED light will slowly pulse. When it’s done charging (after about two hours), the LED light will shut off. The neat thing about this is that you can always leave the toy on its base with no ill effects. (The manufacturer contacted me to let me know that the aspect in the manual that says otherwise is a typo). So you can leave this on your bedside table, charging, so it will ALWAYS be ready when you are! Added to the fact that this vibrator includes a little cap that will fit over the storage base for complete discretion (parents were over the other day, and sitting on a shelf, they didn’t think twice or seem to notice this little vibrator inside the charging dock with the lid on).

The vibrations are neat on the Forbidden Fruit. It has five different strength settings and 7 different patterns. Each one of the patterns can be moved up and down in intensity by using the contorl system. There are multiple pulse patterns and multiple rollercoaster patterns. By going one-way on the control panel, you’ll access the rollercoaster ones, and by clicking the opposite way, you’ll get to the pulse ones. The vibrations are on the stronger side of moderate, and they are on the more rumbly side which is always a plus. Because you do have to grab the entire Forbidden Fruit vibrator with your hand, though, it can make your hands a bit numb. If you focus on it, though, the vibrations should be strong enough for orgasm for most women.

The vibrator is a bit loud, and it can be heard in the same room. Depending on what strength you have it on, it may be heard outside of a closed door, but someone would really have to be trying hard to hear it.

So does it pass as an apple? Yes and no. Across the room, no one will be able to tell it’s not an apple as long as it doesn’t catch the sun right. It is made of plastic (while a real apple is not), so it does catch the sun if in the sun. Upon close inspection, there is a seam that runs along the center of the toy as well as the logo on one side (and the fact that there are button imprints along the upper portion of the toy), but aside from those facts, it does pass pretty well. It’s like fruit in a fruit bowl almost. In fact, if you want to make a sex-toy fruit bowl, you can always look at the Sex A-Peel Vibrator that Babeland sells as well.

For use, this toy is certainly a bit of a challenge. I’m not used to round-shaped vibrations (I don’t think most people are), so it’s a slight learning curve to really learn how this toy is exactly supposed to work with your body. The round shape does make it pretty easy to hold onto, though, and it will fit comfortably between your legs. My favorite use, that I’ve found so far, is to stick it between my legs (well, duh!). But no, really; the toy is large enough that you can press your thighs together and the toy will stay vibrating in place in case you want to use your hands for other things like reading a book or controlling porn – fun things like that. Depending on how you usually give blowjobs, it could also be slipped between your legs and stay there during a blowjob or other activities with your partner.

This toy also will work great if you are someone that tends to “hump” things instead of pressing things against you. This can easily be placed onto a bed and your body weight can be pressed up against it. Do remember, though, that the green stem at the top is the controls, so you don’t want to place your weight up there unless you want the toy to turn itself off.

The only downside I can find to the vibrator (aside from the shape that may or may not be for you) is the controls. It is really hard to figure out exactly how to control it while holding it during use. As the four different settings are the same (in terms of how you can feel it), you really can’t tell any of them apart without looking at the Forbidden Fruit vibrator. In the future, if they changed the toy, they could possibly make the stem/controller an oblong shape that would let you know which was was the control you wanted to go for.

For cleaning, the instruction manual says to use warm water and antibacterial soap, and that’s what I’ve been using. It is compatible with water-based lubricants, and you shouldn’t use any harm chemicals or cleaners on the toy. Make sure that it is completely dry and lube-free before putting it on the charging base. It can be stored right on the storage base, or if you want, you can store it inside the box that it comes in. That box is really sturdy!

Overall, I really like the Forbidden Fruit vibrator. It isn’t the strongest or the most effective vibrator in my collection, but it is really unique and provides a different experience than most of my other toys. I love the base, and I absolutely love what Rianne’s has done with the toy. I’m really looking forward to future Rianne’s releases as their toys are luxurious and innovative. Thanks to Babeland Sex Toys for providing this vibrator for my Forbidden Fruit review.
