I actually got my partner to sit down and write a full post for this RealBreasts review, so you get to see first-hand his experience with these amazing realistic breast forms! For disclosure, my partner is a crossdresser who has multiple other sets of breast forms, but this is still his, by far, favorite – especially after about six months of use now. Absolutely nothing can compare to these. And honestly, from my point of view, absolutely NOTHING he owns looks as realistic as these. So enjoy the Real Breasts breast forms review!
About
The Realbreasts by Realdoll are the ultimate in realistic breast forms. They employ the same realistic skin technology used in the Realdoll sex dolls and are custom-made for each individual order. RealBreasts are made of medical grade silicone, and according to the web page, detailed by a Hollywood special effects artist. The Realbreasts I received were two separate breasts, although it is possible to order them in a single piece breast form if you’d prefer that (which makes it easier to achieve cleavage with your RealBreasts).
The Realbreast comes in four different sizes, labeled size 1-4 instead of an actual cup size. The real breasts I received were size 2, which for me was around a B cup, although this will depend on how big your frame is. If you’d rather have larger breasts, the Realdoll website says that a size 4 breast forms amounts to about a 36DD cup size on someone with a 36” waist. The RealBreast website also includes a very detailed chart of exactly how big each size is in inches. This chart includes virtually everything you’d ever want to know: weight, top to bottom, side to side, nipple to bottom, and protrusion.
Before getting my Realbreasts I was first sent a sample kit that included six different skin tones. I was then able to find the basic skin tone that most matched my natural skin. From there I took a picture of my skin next to the sample skin tone for RealBreasts to use in creating breasts that perfectly matched my skin. This allowed my RealBreasts to be amazingly realistic and blend in perfectly with my skin. When wearing my Realbreasts, it’s nearly impossible to tell them apart from my natural skin due to the custom skin tone.
Applying
Applying the Realbreasts requires a lot more care then your cheaper breast forms. Before using any sort of adhesive it’s especially helpful to practice putting them on and finding your fit. The best way I’ve found to apply them is bending at the waist and bringing them up towards your chest. This way the semi-transparent flanges hang down and stay out of the way. If you try to place them while standing up the flanges often get bent backwards and stick to each other. Finding the perfect placement takes a few times and it’s really beneficial to have a body mirror. Just remember real breasts aren’t perfect so if you don’t get the breast forms perfectly aligned on your chest, it’s no big deal.
Due to the Realbreasts having a tacty back surface, it’s perfectly fine to wear them without any sort of adhesive – especially if you’re wearing a bra. The only problem with not using adhesive is the edges tend to peel away from your skin when moving. This only presents a problem though if you plan to be showing off some cleavage.
If you plan to wear them for extended periods of time and want your breasts to look perfect using adhesive is advised. The first step to applying adhesive is to make sure your chest is completely shaved and clean. Having glue pull on hairs is not a fun thing. You should also wipe down both your skin and the Realbreasts with some sort of cleaning wipes. My Realbreasts actually included Skin Prep wipes for this purpose, but any alcohol based skin wipes will work. From there, the sets vary depending on what sort of adhesive you use. I was able to try out two different types that are included with the Realbreasts.
The first option was the Skin Tac wipes. These are just wipes in little packets. They look almost exactly like the Skin Prep wipes only they are tinted slightly yellow. To apply this adhesive simply rub the wipes against your skin and the back surface of the Realbreasts. You really only need to apply adhesive along the edges of the breast forms, since the tacty back surface does a pretty good job of holding everything else against your skin. Once the adhesive is applied allow it to dry for 45 seconds before you press it against your skin. The adhesive actually activates when you apply pressure, you make sure you apply pressure to everywhere as you place it against your skin. Afterwards touch up any spots that look like they need a bit of extra adhesive.
The other option I tried was Factor II Liquid Based Adhesive. This basically works the same as the Skin Tac wipes only now you apply it using a brush. You only need to apply a thin layer of liquid to the edges of the breast forms since this adhesive is really strong. The liquid adhesive requires 60 seconds to dry before applying to skin. This adhesive is also pressure activated so be sure to firmly press down all the edges. You can also apply more liquid to any area that isn’t sticking.
Comparing the two, the Skin Tac wipes are very easy to use but the liquid adhesive lasts much longer and allows for a better stick. With both adhesives sweating can be a major problem since it causes the Realbreasts to become un stuck and start slipping. The best way to deal with this is to applying an antiperspirant to your chest before putting on the breasts.
Removing
For every method of applying the removal process is the same. You can choose to use adhesive remover if you need to, but most of the time it’s possible to slowly peel the prosthesis away from your skin. This is especially easy if you’ve been wearing them awhile and they are starting to come loose. Be careful when removing them though, they are very easy to tear, especially around the edges. Afterwards wipe both your skin and the breast forms off with a adhesive remover and isopropyl alcohol to clean any body oils and left over adhesive. Wiping down the breast forms with warm water also helps Proper cleaning helps to extend the life of the prosthesis.
I store the Realbreasts in the boxes they can in. Just leaving them out or sticking them in a drawer is definitely not an option since they are extremely fragile. Each breast has a separate box with a separate mold for it to be placed on. It’s a bit tricky placing the breast form on the mold since it has to be perfectly aligned so it lays flat. Keeping the Realbreasts in their mold when not in use is an important part towards extending their lifespan and helping them to keep their shape longer. The molds also fit nicely in the large box they came in as well as the box offering protection since they are very fragile. It’s pretty safe to assume this is the best way to store the Realbreasts.
(As a note from me, keep in mind that these boxes that store the RealBreasts are large boxes. They are slightly less lengthy than a shoe box, but they are wider and taller than a shoe box. And each RealBreast has its own box. The boxes easily stack on top of each other, and the storage is not even a slight problem for us (I’d MUCH rather get rid of other things than even consider getting rid of the RealBreasts), but you will want to have some idea of where you will store these boxes.)
Opinions
Overall, I LOVE the Realbreasts. Honestly, words can’t describe how amazing they are. Hopefully some of the pictures will help to show just how perfect the Realbreasts are. They far outclass any other breast forms I’ve ever had. From a distance of a few feet they are impossible to tell apart from your actual skin without any makeup. With a little bit of concealer over the seams they become virtually part of your body. They are very realistic feeling and heat up to your body temperate quickly. The nipples are probably the least realistic part, and they still look great. The nipples are firm though, so if you plan on running around in a tight shirt and no bra, they will stand out.
The breast forms themselves have quite a bit of weight about the same as you expect an actual person’s breasts to weigh, so they do add some weight to you. They also move semi realistically when you use adhesive. They bounce when you move, and since they have weight to them, you’ll notice them moving. It makes running around naked really fun. The only non-realistic factor is that, since they are breast forms, they are perfectly perky and don’t sag or droop in any way. This wasn’t an issue for me though, and I doubt it will be an issue for anyone else.
Like I mentioned earlier, it does take quite a bit of practice in order to find the perfect position for them on your body. You have to be extremely careful with them when doing this since the transparent flanges are very easy to tear. That said there is one downside to the amazing Realbreasts, they take time and work. Unlike other breast forms you can’t just slip them in a bra and be good to go. The Realbreasts need to be carefully applied then when you’re done slowly removed and cleaned. This means that they are more for serious crossdressing as opposed to just dressing up for an hour or so. I usually only put on my Realbreasts if I plan to spend at least half a day or more dressed.
The Realbreasts are without a doubt the closest thing to having actually breasts a crossdresser could get short of getting actual implants. They look and feel realistic in everyway. It’s entirely possible to go outside in a tight dress showing off a decent amount of cleavage and not have anyone notice that you are wearing breast forms. Even completely naked the Realbreasts look like a natural part of your body. The Realbreats are without a doubt the best breast prosthesis money can buy and the ultimate weapon for any crossdresser looking appear as a biological woman.
