The Back Belly Chain Jewelry is one of the many types of jewelry that Nipple Charms sells. All of their back belly chains come with a free 8″ extension if you’d like, and, depending on the particular item, the back belly chain itself is usually about 32 inches in length. The measurement you’ll mostly want to use for comparison is a regular “waist” measurement, but the chain will hang towards the hip measurement as well, so that’s something to keep in mind.
A piece of belly back jewelry is basically a “necklace” that goes around your waist. The “decorative” part goes towards the back, and when aligned properly, the necklace will hit at about the same point as a lower-back tribal tattoo would be. The front-side of the necklace will just look like a regular necklace while the backside of the necklace will show the design and decoration of the Back Belly jewelry.
Personally, I think the best use for this type of back jewelry would be when in bra and panties lingerie. With that, the chain itself will not get in the way of where clothing would sit, and then the jewelry will be one of the main focuses of the outfit. If you have a sexy dress/shirt that shows off the lower back (I do not own anything like that), this could be a really nice focus piece to add something “interesting” to the outfit. It’s especially hot for sexting and sending selfies (for whatever reason you want to show off!).
Something to keep in mind is that this will work best for those with some sort of hips. As the neck and shoulders really works as the “part” of your body that keeps a necklace on, for the Back Belly chains, the part that’s going to keep this tummy jewelry on is going to be the hips. If you tend to have slender hips or things tend to slide off of your hips, you might find this frustrating. You also may have to fasten it a bit tighter which will reduce the seductive “hanging” of the belly jewelry, but if it keeps it on your body, it’ll be worth it.
The particular one we received for review is the Tribal Design with Sapphire or Ruby Colored Stone. This belly necklace is about 33″ in length (and you can get that extra extension as well, remember), and it includes a small gem stone which you can customize to be either the Sapphire or the Ruby. Both gems seem lighter than their “traditional” gem color, but both show up pretty clearly while set in the tribal design.
The back belly chain is pretty easy to put on – easier than a necklace, in fact. This is because you can fasten it in front where you can easily see it and then slide it around towards your back for it to be on the “right” way. If you have any body hair in the area, it may snag, but we haven’t really had any issues with it so far. The chain itself is comfortable as well – the chains have not scratched my skin nor caused me any sort of pain. The design also hasn’t scratched my skin, and while the design’s very bottom “point” does have a bit of pointyness to it, you won’t notice it unless you sit down with your weight against your back. If you’re wearing any BDSM gear, we haven’t found anything that might get in the way of wearing this – except potentially a waist bondage belt.
The neat thing about this particular back belly chain is the fact that it has a drop-down dangling ball. When wearing this around your waist like you’re supposed to, the dangling ball leads the eye down towards the butt which is a tease in itself. If you find a way to wear it as a necklace (I’m sure it’s possible, but we haven’t messed with it too much), the dangling ball which also then lead down towards the cleavage which, again, works as a fantastic tease.
Overall, if you want a way to make your bare back look sexy or ‘draw attention” towards your lower back with lingerie, back belly chains from Nipple Charms work really well, and they look pretty sexy. You’ll have to think about what size and design you want (as well as how well your hips can hold it up), but it’s certainly a very sexy look.
