Mia Rose is a cardboard cut-out of herself manufactured by Hollywood Stand-ups sold by this sex toy store. It’s actually really neat. It’s about five feet, eight inches, so it honestly stands about proportionate with what the person herself would be. It’s made completely of cardboard and has a neat tab on the back that runs up the entire length of the cutout to make it stand up really easily. She comes folded in half and honestly? Instructions to make her stand up are printed right onto the plain, brown cardboard back. Basically, there’s a piece of cardboard that runs at a 90 degree angle with her. You pull the piece to the 90 degree angle and fasten it on with two cardboard pieces that are included – one near her head and one near her feet. Then she stands up. We’ve had her up for about three weeks now with lots of moving and some (slight) abuse, and the cardboard still holds extremely strong. I’ve been impressed so far. It’s really just easy to put up – easily an under-five minute job.
So what else is there to say? I have to say that I was impressed with the detail that the photographers must have paid to the original photograph that was used. Mia Rose has on gorgeous jewelry, her fingernails match, she’s wearing a necklace, and honestly, it looks like her clothing was all arranged really nicely and perfectly around her body. Since Mia Rose is naturally barely over five feet tall, the photographer actually put her in like six inch heels for the picture. The heels have awesome spikes on the outside of them, and overall, I’m impressed with both the outfit that she’s wearing as well as the actual high-quality print that they must have had to have used to make Mia Rose look so nice. She really looks lifelike.
The only thing I’m slightly disappointed about is the red on the bottom of Mia. I wish they would have let the white next to her arm as well as the red match in some manner. Both white or both red. As it stands, it does look a little weird, but it’s nothing that I notice on a regular basis.
So what do you do with an almost six-foot-tall cut out of a porn star? That is an extremely good question. Despite no one ever having used her for masturbation reasons (I find it odd to think of a guy sitting on his couch and staring at her cardboard cut-out and masturbating), we’ve gotten amazing amounts of amusement out of her. My partner finds it amusing to place Mia in random places around our apartment just to scare me. For example, she was in our bathroom once when I went to go pee. Another time, she was the first thing I saw when I opened my closet door. The next time, she was under our covers like she was sleeping in our bed.
And of course, since boys will be boys, my partner and a friend of his recently went out and bought Nerf guns to have styrofoam dart wars. (Don’t even ask me what the appeal is.) They’ve been using Mia as target practice. They’ve made a game from her as well. You shoot the dart at Mia, and when it reflects off of her, you try to catch it again. She has also been carted around the living room as a non-living hostage to hide behind to protect from enemy fire.
Even after all of that, she looks exactly like when we first bought her. It’s honestly amazing. She looks amazingly life-like, and honestly, until I got used to her, I used to think she was alive when I’d first see her. The cardboard is holding up downright amazingly, and none of the print of her photo is peeling off. She doesn’t even have battle wounds from the Nerf darts – she just looks exactly like when we first received her. After all the surprises, giggles, and amusement, I’d highly recommend getting a cut-out; if only for the decoration. If you have a crush on the pornstar, I recommend getting one even more.
