Maia Silicone Kegel Balls Review

Maia Silicone Kegel Balls
Maia Silicone Kegel Balls

The Maia Silicone Kegel Balls are brightly-colored, pure-silicone balls produced by Maia and sold by TabuToys sex toys. They are available in bright yellow, bright blue, bright purple, or bright pink. They are about 20mm in size (about 3/4 inch by my estimation), and this comes with two of them. The balls are not attached in any manner, and they can be used independently of one another. These balls are made of pure silicone, and they aren’t hollow and don’t have smaller, weighted balls inside like many other kegel balls do.

The packaging for these balls is actually pretty cute. It comes in a small plastic package that has blister-package design. The two balls come displayed right in the middle. The packaging has basic information about the kegel balls, and it looks well-designed. You can use the packaging for storage (as it doesn’t take up much room), but you also can just store the kegel balls on their own too.

Maia Silicone Kegel Balls
As you can see, these are pretty tiny.

One of the most noticable first things about the Maia Silicone Kegel Balls is the fact that they’re silicone and detached. Most “detached” type of silicone balls tend to be made of materials such as glass. Most silicone types of kegel balls tend to be two attached balls attached by a strip of silicone. The Maia Silicone Kegel Balls aren’t like that. This design allows you to use the kegel balls exactly how you want. Just want one? Just use one. Want both? Use both.

One thing that’s pretty noticable right away is that these kegel balls, unlike a lot of kegel balls I’ve tried, don’t stay in nearly as well without a concentrated effort. I think this is because of the small size, the really smooth silicone, and the lack of any texture or non-sphere shape. This means that they slide out pretty easily unless you make an effort to continue to think about keeping them in. This is unlike other kegel balls. Quite a few of those will stay in pretty easily without thinking about them too much. The weight, though, partnered with the small size, means that these can slide out pretty easily.

The silicone of the Maia Silicone Kegel Balls is very smooth as well.

And that’s definitely a concern that you should take into account before choosing where to wear these. Definitely don’t wear these out in public for the first time without having given them a try at home first. This is because of how easily they can slip out. Since they aren’t attached to one another, it means that one can slip out and end up “hanging out” in your underwear without much you can do about it in public – and that’s assuming that it doesn’t accidentally slip out of your underwear. (And they’re totally uncomfortable to sit on when they’re just chillin’ in your underwear!)

However, if you give them a try at home first, then you have a general idea about how much effort it’s going to take to keep them in along with the sensation of what it feels like when the kegel balls slide out. It also let me figure out how much strength it required to keep the vaginal balls in along with how long I could comfotably keep them in without too much soreness.

So, with those thoughts in mind, the Maia Silicone Kegel Balls actually work for strengthening vaginal muscles. The balls themselves are definitely weighted, and you can feel that. If you’re concerned about how heavy they are (they are noticably more heavy than other vaginal balls I’ve tried but slightly lighter than other sets – they’re more like a medium-heavy set, comparison-wise). They definitely feel a bit different compared to other balls, but I can feel they’re there, and they require an actual attention to muscles to keep them in. They seem harder to keep in when you’re using both balls versus just using one; I think this might be because one of the balls “presses down” on the other when using both and the fact that it ends up weighing more because you have both balls in instead of just one.

To clean these, it actually is extremely simple. You’ll just want to use warm water and antibacterial soap, and you can clean it really well. The completely-smooth surface means that these clean up astoundingly well. However, if you want to sterilize them for use with multiple people (or to make sure they’re fully clean), you can easily just boil them in water or use a bleach-water solution. For lubricant, you’ll want to use water-based lubricant as silicone-based lubricant could harm the silicone of the balls (and would make them harder to hold in). For storage, the packaging is actually pretty slim, so you can store these vaginal balls back in the original packaging. However, they also don’t really pick up hair or lint, so you could keep them out wherever you needed them too.

Overall, the Maia Silicone Kegel Balls do exactly what they’re going to do – and that’s help strengthen your vaginal muscles. However, they do it in a way that doesn’t feel quite as “effortless” as other methods, but that could be because it works better than other methods as well; it certainly feels like it works muscles more intensely. With those special concerns, though, make sure you have a strong grasp of how well you can do with these kegel balls before taking them out in public places or for long stretches of time. As long as you do that, though, these are definitely kegel ball options you could choose. Thanks to TabuToys for having providing these silicone kegel balls to strengthen vaginal muscles for my Maia Silicone Kegel Balls review.
