Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs Review

Designed to offer a simple, gorgeous way to restrain your partner, the Liebe Seele Wine Red Wrist and Ankle Cuffs are beautiful, wine red cow leather bondage cuffs with rose gold hardware. Each set of cuffs includes a matching rose gold chain that includes two snap clips on the end of each side of the chain to easily bind the cuffs together – even if you don’t have any other bondage gear available.

The wrist cuffs offer a smaller circumference than the ankle cuffs – perfect for wrist use. All of the Wine Red cuffs offer a width that takes up 2.4″ of space on your limb.

Each one of the Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs includes a single D-ring. Depending on how tightly or loosely you fasten the cuffs, this D-ring may be very close – or directly across from – the fastener for the cuff. This D-ring is reinforced with a rivet on each side.

Each one of the Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs (Wrist Cuff set and the Ankle Cuff set) comes with a matching rose gold chain with snap clips. This allows you to easily clip the two cuffs to one another for instant bondage.

I highly, highly recommend getting the Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs out of their box and airing out as soon as possible. They have a very, very, very strong and overpowering leather scent – which seems to get more powerful the longer you keep them in their storage box. I did not have this issue with any of the other Liebe Seele items I own; I took out the same, Wine Red Blindfold from the box on day 1, and I experienced no overpowering leather scents. However, leaving the cuffs in their original box seems to give them a lot of time to absorb that leather scent. I love a leather scent, but something about this makes it overpowering. We could smell it throughout the house for days before setting these cuffs outside to air out. Now everything is as good as new!

Get Started with Bondage Right Away

Unlike most bondage cuffs, the Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs both come with their own double-sided clips that are attached to short chain. This chain with clips allows you to instantly connect the two cuffs to one another for handcuffed (or ankle-cuffed) bondage in seconds.

I’m also in love with the fact that the included chain is the exact same shade and color as the metal hardware on the cuffs themselves. It’s the attention to details that really makes the difference, and having a set that matches is just another way that Liebe Seele’s bondage gear tends to go above and beyond some of the standard, beginner-friendly bondage sets out there.

The chain length on the wrist cuffs is 8.9″ while the ankle chain is 9.6″ in length.

What’s the Size Range on the Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs?

All of the Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs offer quite a bit of adjustment room to work with. Like most bondage cuffs, this is designed to help it fit a variety of bodies – and to ensure that it’s comfy while you’re wearing it.

The wrist cuffs can fit wrists that are 5.5″ to 9.5″ in circumference.

The ankle cuffs can fit ankles that are 8.3″ to 12.2″ in circumference.

Both cuffs offer 8 adjustment holes to get the perfect fit for your limb’s size.

The wrist cuffs fit me with zero issues. The ankle cuffs are a very tight fit, but they do fit on the loosest setting – which is saying something because many shoes or kink items don’t necessarily fit my ankles.

How Comfortable are the Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs?

The Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs start off a bit stiff. I found this surprising considering the Liebe Seele Pinku line and Liebe Seele Blackish Green Cow Leather Bondage Set line were surprisingly supple when I first received them.

The Wine Red Cuffs, on the other hand, definitely arrive stiff. As we’ve been handling, getting body oil, and regularly using these cuffs, they’ve definitely softened up, but it still is a two-handed endeavor to fasten these cuffs onto my partner’s wrists or ankles. This also means that the edges of the Wine Red Cuffs are pretty stiff too. They can poke into skin in a manner that’s uncomfortable if not placed flat against skin. Essentially, these aren’t the cuffs you should be using for a hardcore struggle scene if you haven’t broken them in.

As long as you aren’t unevenly distributing tension on the Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs, though, they’re pretty comfortable to wear. There are not rivets or buckles on the interior of the cuffs; it’s all covered by a smooth, soft piece of leather to ensure the wearing experience feels fantastic.

The interior leather has a semi-slippery quality to it, so it will swirl around the wearer’s wrist or ankle unless it’s very snug. This can be helpful (or annoying) depending on what you’re going for.

They are thick and sturdy cuffs, and they hold their own fantastically. While these are new to you, I recommend sticking to bondage activities that will evenly weight tension, but once you both have broken these in, I can’t imagine you’ll be able to easily tear or harm these cuffs. They have some serious sturdiness to them!

Durability of the Liebe Seele Wine Red Leather Cuffs

As you can probably guess from my previous gushing, the Liebe Seele Wine Red Leather Cuffs are ridiculously durable. All parts of the cuffs are made up of two layers of leather – a thicker, black leather and the thinner, wine red layer of leather. These two layers are sewn together by matching black stitching. The black leather layer has leather texturing to it while the Wine Red layer has been grinded down to be completely smooth.

There isn’t a single errant thread out of place. Not one. Everything feels completely smooth against the stitching on the Wine Red side of the cuff, and the leather side feels like leather – but still, I don’t see a single errant thread in any of the four cuffs. Not one. (That’s impressive.)

The Liebe Seele cuffs have some ridiculous durability to them, and I have, quite literally, bruised my finger attempting to tug on the cuff’s D-ring in order to try to rip the cuffs apart. I bruised my finger before any of the four cuffs showed any sign of budging, tearing, or having an issue. The Liebe Seele Wine Red Leather Cuffs should hold up to some seriously rough play – and with their sturdy edges and design, they’ll honestly probably bruise you (which will encourage you to calm down on that level of play) long before you tear or harm the set.

Long story short: despite the fact that the cuffs start off pretty stiff, this lends well to aspects of their durability, and you can expect these cuffs to hold up to some seriously rough play.

The Liebe Seele Wine Red Cuffs are fantastic cuffs – especially once you break them in! The quality is clear from the get-go, and you can put these cuffs through their paces without any worry about them breaking down. I highly recommend that you treat these new, sultry red bondage cuffs with kid gloves as you start – especially since the cuffs are definitely on the stiff side when they’re brand new.

Once you’ve spent some good time using and abusing these cuffs, they soften up – yet retain all of their fantastic durability. This makes them a perfect pairing for any type of bondage you want to put them through. As each set of cuffs comes with its own double-sided, matching, rose gold chain, you can start making those bondage options ASAP; you don’t need to have a full kink gear collection to get started.

I’m in love with the Liebe Seele Wine Red bondage set – and that includes these Wrist Cuffs and Ankle Cuffs.
