Looking for a waterproof wand massager? If so, read up on this Le Wand Dive review to meet one of the first full-sized, full-power waterproof wand massagers on the market.
Le Wand (and their parent company COTR, Inc.) have been crafting wand massagers for a long, long time now. (I want to say it’s close to a decade.) Looking at the market back then, Le Wand decided to make wand massagers that looked as pleasurable as they felt. Ever since then, they’ve been making gorgeous, eye-catching sex toys that make people go “Where did you get that?” when I bring them to BDSM parties.
The Le Wand Dive is no different. It’s this aquatic shade of blue that perfectly represents the Le Wand Dive’s big claim to fame: this wand massager is entirely waterproof.
Designed for water use, the easiest cleaning, and a toy that’s squirter and ejaculation friendly, the Le Wand Dive is IPX8 rated, meaning it is designed to be safe to use under a meter of water without harming the toy. Not only does this let you take it into the bath, but it also means you can get wet and messy without worrying about harming the wand.
It would also let you lie at the bottom of a shallow pool, somehow, and use your wand massager on the floor of the pool. While that’s probably over-the-top, it also offers greater levels of protection than lesser waterproof protection options. The Le Dive Wand matches the waterproof capabilities of most smart phones, smartwatches, and fitness trackers.
(I’ve heard horror story upon horror story about people squirting for the first time – only to realize they accidentally ruined their expensive, not-waterproof sex toy in the process. The Le Wand Dive eliminates that worry!)
This waterproof design is well, WELL beyond standard waterproof sex toy capacities. I’ve never actually seen an IPX8 sex toy before. Most are only certified to IPX7 – which offers less waterproof protection.
The Le Wand Dive is the “most” waterproof sex toy I’ve ever seen.

Le Wand Dive Review: The Basics
First off, can I say this wand massager is absolutely gorgeous? I know the waterproof functionality is really supposed to be the big upsell here, but those blue tones are absolutely A+. The Le Wand Dive looks as beautiful as it is functional, and it makes me smile every time I see it. In a market filled with popular wand massagers that “look” medicinal, this is a really nice, approachable change of pace.
Seriously, I could spend 4 paragraphs waxing poetic about how eye-catching I find this wand massager. On looks alone, it (and my old special edition Le Wand Feel My Power wand) are by-far my favorite wand massagers.
Making it easy to control the wand’s vibrations, the Le Wand Dive includes 3 buttons on the handle. Each button makes the most satisfying click when you press it, and they offer no resistance when you use them.

Two buttons control the intensity while the third, middle button allows you to cycle through the vibration patterns. The Dive is equipped with 20 different vibration patterns with 10 vibration intensities. When on the patterned vibration modes, you can use the + and – buttons to increase the intensity of each one of the patterns. Those same buttons can also increase and decrease the intensity of the steady vibration modes as well.
The Dive has a firm silicone head with a silky smooth, glossy plastic handle. The silicone feels like silk, and it’s amazingly soft to pet. It is not, however, plushy or squishy. It’s an extremely firm silicone that glides over skin, but it doesn’t squish down when pressure is applied.
For those who like firm pressure, it’s also important to note that the Le Wand Dive’s head doesn’t bend much. It will allow a slight bit of flexibility, but it primarily stays upright, protruding in-line with the handle. I actually really prefer this firmness in my wand massagers. If I press the wand massager firmly onto my body, it will translate that firm pressure into my body instead of relieving the pressure with a head that bends.

The Dive is rechargeable (yay!) with a run time of about 2 hours after you give it a 3 hour charge. For those of you who like to take your toys on the town, it also has a Travel Lock function to avoid vibrating luggage.
(The number of times I’ve had to sort through all of the bags in my trunk to figure out where I threw that sex toy that’s now audibly vibrating has driven me insane. I live for travel locks.)

Handling the Le Wand Dive
I will say the wand can get a little unwieldy underwater. The glossy plastic handle isn’t known for being the most water-grippy material, and if you’re fighting any moving water, holding onto the Dive may turn into a two-handed adventure.
That also implies that your primary use is, somehow, using the Dive in a Jacuzzi tub with jets like I did a few times for this Le Wand Dive review.
In water that isn’t trying to massage away all of your worries with powerful currents, the Dive stays in your hands just fine. In a relaxing bathtub, it’s easily a one-handed adventure.
In the shower again, though, it may be a two-handed experience if the wand’s handle is directly under the spray of the shower.
If you’re playing on dry land, zero complaints. The wand is noticeably lighter than most wand massagers, and it’s easy to get it exactly where I want it. It’s pretty unevenly weighted (the silicone head is much heavier than the plastic handle), but once you get used to holding it, you don’t think much of it.
For those who don’t want to hold their wand massager, Le Wand does make a Hands-Free Suction Cup holder for this (and their other) wands. As the Le Wand Dive is a non-standard size, however, be aware that it won’t fit most of the other Le Wand accessories. It’s larger than their petite wands and smaller than their full-sized wands.

Let’s Talk Pleasure
The Le Wand Dive can go from land to sea without a second thought, but how well does it provide orgasmic pleasure while undertaking those journeys?
It’s a solid choice. The vibrations are deep and rumbly, and they’re pretty darn strong. Some full-sized wands are definitely stronger, but this one holds its own, and it’s easily stronger than 95% of other vibrators.
It’s easily enough to get me to orgasm on the lowest setting and within two minutes.
The higher settings, with a bit of fanfare, can get me to orgasm when I’m really, really struggling to orgasm (which is a feat very few vibrators can claim!). If I’m not struggling, it’s an orgasm within a minute.
The vibrations maintain that tissue-penetrating feeling no matter how I use the vibrator. If I use the top of the head and apply pressure towards my body, it feels just as strong as if I hold it at an angle, handle towards my head, while utilizing the side of the wand’s head. The wand massager’s head doesn’t tilt or flex under pressure either.
The whole time I’m using it, I get to look at this super-pretty vibrator between my legs. It doesn’t look medical; it looks gorgeous. Can you guess I’m really, really in-love with the look? Multiple times, during the Le Wand Dive review period, I pulled it out over other wands just because it looks so damn gorgeous.

Le Wand Dive vs Magic Wand Waterproof
I just happened to have the Vibratex Magic Wand Waterproof next to me at the same time as I was using the Le Wand Dive. I will say: the Magic Wand Waterproof feels stronger. That being said, the Magic Wand Waterproof is only IPX7 (not as waterproof as the Dive), and I really don’t trust the Magic Wand Waterproof’s waterproof capabilities as much as I trust the Dive’s.
(You can read my full Magic Wand Waterproof review here. TLDR; If you actually want to play underwater and with lots of wetness, I’d recommend the Dive instead. If you need every ounce of power possible, you might prefer the Magic Wand Waterproof.)

Taking the Le Wand Dive into the Water
While testing for this Le Wand Dive review, we’ve had the opportunity to take this one into a hot tub, two different bathtubs, a pool, and a shower – so it has really proven its mettle.
The thing we were most surprised by: vibrations feel ultra-powerful under water. I’ve only casually played with other waterproof toys while submerged in water. Something about water and the wand massager’s power really amplifies all of the sensation.
While the Dive is powerful on land, it’s “Orgasm in 5 seconds” powerful in water for both my partner and I (with a penis and clitoris, respectively). It was pretty cool, actually.
The buttons click easily while submerged, and its lightweight design makes it easy to swish around in the water. Again, though, it becomes a two-handed adventure if you’re playing with the Dive directly under moving water; it’s lightweight enough to get jostled around.
After all of those water tests (including being around hot tub jets for a couple of hours), it’s still doing great.
The only thing that defeated it a bit was some pool-side cement. It was scraped across the poolside cement a bit during use and a photoshoot, and it has a couple of scratches on the handle’s finish now. It still works great, but it’s probably a good reminder to keep any of your pretty sex toys away from anything sharp.
(As if anyone except my dumb ass needed reminding of that.)

Final Thoughts: Le Wand Dive Review
Le Wand Dive Review
Summary
As someone who loves to nitpick sex toys, the Le Wand Dive gives me nothing to complain about. It’s stunning to look at, manages more-than-necessary waterproof functionality without having to keep track of rubber stoppers, is equipped with really powerful vibrations, is lightweight, is easy to operate and clean, and has an extended battery life.
The only thing you should be aware of: if you like to use Le Wand head attachments, the Dive doesn’t fit their petite OR full-sized head attachments. It’s in this weird middle ground of sizing.
After we completed all of our Le Wand Dive review tests, though, the Dive went straight to my bedside, where it now lives, in its place of honor. With its ability to go from bedroom to hot tub with ease while offering worry-free cleaning, it has now become a household favorite.
Also, as a final addition, I feel like Le Wand deserves a call out for the storage bag. So many manufacturers just toss in a crappy drawstring pouch and call it good. This neoprene, water-friendly zip-up pouch is the perfect size, feels really nice and high-quality, and makes me want to travel with the Dive more than other wands we own. Serious kudos for providing accessories that customers want!
