Hearts Double Dildo Review

Hearts Double Dildo
The dildo sitting on its storage pouch

UPDATE May 2020: The Hearts Double Dildo is no longer in production. The company, Phallix Dildos, is still around, though.

The Hearts Double Dildo is a beautiful Phallix dildo that is double-ended. This dildo is made from Pyrex glass and is about eight inches long with a diameter of about an inch and a half at the widest point.

The packaging for this dildo is slightly disappointing. It comes in the same packaging as the other Phallix dildos do with a very large plastic, blister-pack packaging. The packaging is huge for the size of the dildo, and I do not recommend it for storage as it’s huge. The packaging doesn’t look as fancy as I’d hoped it to for a luxury glass dildo, but it does come with a storage pouch. The storage pouch isn’t padded or anything, but it is pink and lace-y which is cute. If you really want to protect it, I recommend a padded storage bag, but this storage bag should work just fine as long as you’re careful.

The hearts on the shaft of the dildo

The design for this dildo is pretty basic. It’s a gorgeous, pink dildo that is slightly curved (like a Pure Wand) for g-spot stimulation. This is a double-ended dildo, so both ends of the dildo can easily be inserted. The pink is very visible – even without professional lighting, so you’ll easily be able to see it with regular sunlight or house light. In the middle of the dildo, along the inner curve, Phallix included four little hearts along the shaft. The hearts aren’t perfectly made, but it’s obvious they are hand-made, and they do look like hearts. The hearts are not embedded in the shaft, but instead, are extraneous on it, so they do stick out from the shaft and can be felt during use.

It’s hard to tell from the pictures on the website, but the two ends of this dildo are differently sized. It’s not by much, but they are different in diameter. They have about the same general shape with a triangular-pointed shape that slowly gets larger towards the middle of the dildo, but the widest point differs between the two different ends. The smaller end has a widest diameter of about 1 1/4 inches while the wider end has a widest diameter of about 1 1/2. It’s hard to see from the pictures, but it’s a lot more noticeable when you actually are holding the toy in your hands and using it.

From my experience, the two ends don’t really feel all that different. The larger-diameter end is actually heavier which can be a problem for some, but aside from that, I really haven’t been able to tell much of a difference between the two ends. The larger-diameter end is much heavier as a handle as well, so that’s something to keep in mind during use. The smaller end ends up being easier to insert just because the head is much less pronounced than the larger end. With both ends, the shaft size stays the same at less than an inch, so it only changes with the head. This glass dildo is too firm and not long enough to be used as a double-ended dildo between two partners as well, so don’t get that in mind.

Does it work? It’s okay for g-spot stimulation. It won’t directly hit your g-spot, but it does gently rub up against it with the curve it has. I had more luck with the larger end for g-spot stimulation, but it did require a bit of an awkward angle for me to brush up against my g-spot. It seemed to work best with small, shallow thrusts rather than longer thrusts or grinding up against it. If you go for longer thrusts or use about half of the shaft, you can feel the little heart designs on the shaft. They aren’t too noticeable, but they can be noticed during use. They do stick out from the shaft, but they’re much more of a sloping bump than just a bump, so it’s a nice, pleasurable texture that adds to the g-spot sensation rather than detracting from it.

Handling this dildo depends on how much lubrication you use. Since it’s glass, it does not require too much lubrication which works out wonderfully as, if you’re really aroused, your natural lubrication may work just fine. If you do use lubricant, it only requires a small amount. Handling this dildo when slippery can be a problem though. While it does hav the opposite side’s head to grip onto, this may not work too well as the heads aren’t very pronounced, and I found my own hand slipping a lot while trying this. Since the shaft doesn’t have much texture either, your best bet is the head of the opposite end, but I recommend having a towel or something to wipe off your hands and make handling easier. Obviously, the head that’s larger, while heavier, has a more pronounced head and does work better for handling the dildo.

For cleaning, glass is perfect. You just use warm water and antibacterial soap to clean off this dildo. Boiling it may harm the toy, but it can be sterilized with a bleach solution. Regular cleaning can just be done with warm water and antibacterial soap. All types of lubricant are compatible with glass, and it only requires a bit of lubricant in order to properly lubricate this toy. For storage, I highly recommend a padded storage bag for optimal storage, but as long as you’re careful, the storage bag included from Phallix should work okay for storage.

Overall, I like this double-ended dildo. it’s not perfect, but it’s not bad either. It’ll be very pleasurable for you if you like lighter g-spot stroking or like it to brush up against your g-spot. If the average g-spot toy works for you, this should work well as well. My g-spot seems to be more misplaced than most, so this doesn’t work perfectly, but it does still hit my g-spot. It’s a gorgeous piece of art, and it’s very beautiful as well.
