UPDATE FEBRUARY 2022: The Gyrations Sensations Mini Gyrating Jumper 2 is no longer in production. This sex toy review remains for those who are curious about the toy. While you’re here, why not check out my BDSM advice, femdom advice, or BDSM scene outlines? I think they’re pretty nifty, if I do say so myself. ;)
The Gyration Sensations Mini Gyrating Jumper 2 Vibrator is a small, plastic vibrator made by California Exotics. It comes in a hot pink, hot green, or hot purple color, and it is about four inches long with a diameter of slightly over an inch. It takes two AAA batteries for use, and it includes 3 speeds.
The packaging for this vibrator is very simple. This sex toy comes in a basic, cardboard box that shows off the features of the toy. Luckily, there aren’t any half-dressed people on the packaging, so that’s a good thing. As the vibrator is plastic and the box is larger than the vibrator, you don’t really need to use the box for storage of the sex toy. The backside of the box does explain the features of the vibrator, though.
This vibrator is designed pretty basically. It’s made of a nice, smooth plastic that glides against the skin. It’s not as smooth as other plastic that I’ve felt, but it has no seams or awkward edges either. The plastic is completely rigid, and it transfers vibrations well. The lime green color is surprisingly bright, and it is very noticable. There’s a shiny colored metal band around the base that does require a bit of extra cleaning if you get bodily fluid near it, but otherwise, it’s just a nice and pretty addition to the vibrator’s design. There is a bit of a curved design near the tip of the vibrator, but as this one seems best suited for clitoral use, you probably won’t notice these bumps too much during use.
This sex toy is powered by two AAA batteries. These two batteries are easily inserted through the base of the toy. The base unscrews, and the two batteries slide in easily. There’s also a small battery-insertion guide etched into the plastic that will give you a good idea about which way you should be inserting the batteries. Inserting the batteries is really simple, and the batteries come out just as easily too.
The controls for this little sex toy are pretty simple. There’s a button on the base of the vibrator that just presses down to change the vibration settings. This button presses down easily, and it makes a nice, responsive “click” when pressed. This button allows you to easily cycle through the three settings on this vibrator. There are just three steady vibration settings – no patterns. (Which I certainly don’t mind). You have to cycle through all three vibration settings to turn off the vibrator.
I’m actually surprised to admit that I’m impressed by the vibrations. They are NOT the strongest vibrations I’ve ever felt, but if this toy was powered by more than two AAA batteries, this seems like it would be very, very powerful. The motor seems like the “right” type of motor, and the vibrations are very rumbly and can be felt really deep. Imagine the “type” of vibrations like the ones from the Hitachi – but on a much, much smaller scale. I’d call the vibrations slightly stronger than average, and depending on how you like your vibrations, I definitely think this could be orgasmic. I actually wish that the vibrator had more intense speeds – I find myself wanting more intensity out of this little thing. If California Exotics could put this motor and design to good use with a stronger power source, I could see it being amazing. As for noise, it’s surprisingly quiet. It’s hard to hear it when it’s sitting on my lap vibrating. It’d be very, very hard to hear it outside of a closed door.
When it comes down to it, I think that the Gyration Sensations Mini Gyrating Jumper 2 is actually a good clitoral vibrator. It has a nice, deep, rumbly vibration, and it’s easy enough to hold. The shape is simple enough and smooth enough that it feels comfortable against the skin, and the controls are easy to use. You could use it for insertion if you want, but the small length seems like it would make it not nearly as efficient as using some other sex toy for insertion. Instead, the Gyration Sensations Mini Gyrating Jumper 2 seems best suited to clitoral use.
Though, if I’m going to be nit-picky, I have to wonder if the product marketing knows what “gyrating” means. According to Dictionary.com, the definition is: “to move in a circle or spiral or around a fixed point; whirl”. Well, this is plastic. Anyone who has ever touched plastic knows that it can’t do that. Maybe they intended to imply that the vibrations are so strong that it gyrates, but that’s even just a very, very odd connection to make. It’s a small complaint, but it is a complaint, and I have to wonder what the creators were thinking when they named it. It vibrates – and intensely so – but it certainly does not “gyrate”.
To clean this lime green vibrator, as it’s waterproof, you don’t have to be too careful during cleaning. You can just use warm water and antibacterial soap. For use with multiple partners, I recommend using a condom to cover it and just taking off the condom later. As it’s made from plastic, it’s compatible with all types of lubricants, and again, as it’s plastic, you can pretty much store it wherever you’d like as it doesn’t react with anything or pick up any hair or lint.
Overall, the Gyrations Sensations Mini Gyrating Jumper 2 is one of those few vibrators from California Exotics that I recommend wholeheartedly with no reservations. (One of the only vibrators that shares that same honor is the Intimate Basics Siena). Thanks to California Exotics for providing this small vibrator for my Gyration Sensations Mini Gyrating Jumper 2 review.
