Glow in the Dark Mini G-Spot Vibrator Review

Glow in the Dark Mini G-Spot Vibrator
The toy

The Glow in the Dark Mini G-Spot Vibrator is a cute, tiny vibrator that is made from plastic, sold by FunWares, and made by Pipedream Products. The product is actually a lime-green color which is usually the color you’d expect with a glow in the dark vibrator. The little vibrator is about five inches long with a diameter of about an inch. It also requires one AA battery for use which is not included.

The packaging for the Glow-in-the-Dark Mini G-Spot Vibe is pretty basic. It’s black and green packaging, and it has a window on the box to display how the toy looks. The toy sits inside a little tray that pulls out so you can remove the toy. The packaging is barely any larger than the toy itself, so if you wanted, you could use this packaging for storage. The packaging isn’t really “discreet”, but it is really cute and tasteful.

The battery goes in a bit awkwardly. It’s a bit like a pocket rocket vibrator. The base of the vibrator twists off to allow you to insert the battery. Once you insert it, you can close the compartment with another twist, and if you twist even further, it’ll turn the vibrator on to the single-speed vibrations. The battery is very easy to insert, but it is really easy to accidentally “open” the battery compartment during use. This is very, very frustrating, and while you might have an easier time of it if your partner uses it on you, for single use, I found that the twisting-off was frustrating.

The controls are basic. You just have to turn the vibrator to the single-speed “on”. Once you have it on, it is possible to accidentally turn off the vibrations – especially if you tend to need some strong thrusting and adjustments during g-spot stimulation for an orgasm. The vibrations are really easy to control, but you might have a hard time changing the vibration strength because the control seems to be in the middle of the shaft of the toy which, if inserted past the control, it can be hard to turn.

The vibrations are a single-speed that is on the lower end of moderate. They are surface vibrations and relatively buzzy, and they can easily be heard in the same room. However, they couldn’t be heard outside of a closed door.

So does it glow in the dark? Sorta. Because of the light-green color, you can certainly see it in the dark, and it’s easy to spot, but I wouldn’t say that it “glows”. I tried leaving this under lights to see if it would improve it, but it still doesn’t seem to “glow”. That being said, you can certainly see it in the dark, so while it doesn’t “glow”, it still can easily be seen in the dark because of the green color. As I’m actually not sure what material/chemicals makes something actually glow-in-the-dark, this could have been a safer way of exploring the glow-in-the-dark features in a sex toy.

The opened battery compartment

I’m always willing to give a new toy a try. In fact, it’s one of the things that I love to do – especially when you consider that this one glows in the dark! How much fun is that? However, this vibrator certainly was not what I was expecting. For one, I was really surprised about the control system for this vibrator. Most vibrators like this usually use a turn-dial or a button in order to control the vibrations. This toy actually controls more like a Pocket Rocket-style vibrator, and I must say that I’m not very fond of how pocket rocket vibrators control. I was also a bit disappointed by the single-speed vibrations. I like to control my vibrations and the strength of my vibrations depending on my mood, so only having one speed is not optimal for me.

The second aspect that didn’t work well for me was the g-spot portion. The little vibrator does have the g-spot curve at the tip, but as the vibrator is only about five inches (total!) length with the controls being mid-way through the shaft of the vibrator, that gives you two insertable inches if you want to still be able to control the toy. I don’t know about you, but it’s really difficult to get a lot of sensation out of a toy that can only be inserted two inches in. The g-spot curve at the tip didn’t work for me, but like most of my reviews state, my g-spot tends to be much deeper than average, so if your g-spot responds to most sex toys, you’ll find that you can easily use this g-spot vibrator.

What does help is if you have a partner manuevering the toy. It’s pretty difficult to manuever a five inch toy into the correct spot for lots of g-spot stimulation while still trying to keep a good hold of the toy and not accidentally twist off the battery compartment. However, if you have a partner, they can get “down and dirty” near where you want to use the toy for much easier (and less awkward!) usage. For self-usage, though, I must say that this is a sex toy that I will not be using often.

Cleaning this vibrator is pretty easy as this sex toy is waterproof. I haven’t tested the waterproof claims, but the toy does feature a rubber seal around the battery compartment. As it’s plastic, it is compatible with all types of lubricant, and it can be stored wherever you’d like as it doesn’t pick up lint or fuzzies. It can be cleaned with warm water and anti-bacterial soap or easily slipped into a condom for sharing with multiple partners.

Overall, the Glow in the Dark Mini Vibrator is not one of my favorite vibrators. It only has a single-speed, the controls are in the center of the toy, the small size makes it difficult to insert and use, and I ended up twisting off the battery compartment during use a couple times. However, for the inexpensive price, if you are looking for a novelty-type vibrator that has the glow-in-the-dark sex toy feature, then this vibrator may work out for you. Just don’t expect it to compare to most of your other vibrators. Thanks to FunWares for providing this glow-in-the-dark vibrator for my Glow-In-The-Dark Mini G-Spot Vibrator review.
