FunFactory Minivibe Bubbles Review

FunFactory Minivibe Bubbles
Showing the Minivibe Bubbles

The FunFactory MiniVibe Bubbles is a small, rechargeable vibrator. It’s a smaller vibrator at about five inches long, and it’s waterproof and made from body-safe silicone. The diameter is about an inch and a half at the widest point (which is the second bubble). The real-size widget is very accurate, but the color doesn’t quite look the same. Mine looks closer to an off-white color than the slight blue shown on the product page. It’s probably just due to the differences in professional lighting.

The packaging of this vibrator is pretty basic. It looks like other FunFactory packages. It is a cardboard shell, and inside the cardboard shell, there is a plastic tray that pulls out to reveal the Bubbles vibrator sitting in the plastic tray. The box is a bit larger for storage, but it can be stored in there if you want. It also comes with the charger, a sample of lubricant, a FunFactory product guide, and the instruction book. The packaging is definitely suitable for gift-giving as it looks really attractive.

The body of the FunFactory Bubbles is possibly one of the most adorable and unique ideas out there when it comes to name interpretations. The vibrator is literally made up of three little “bubbles” of silicone on top of the base itself. The two lower bubbles are pretty straight in nature, but the top bubble leans off towards the front to give it g-spot possibilities. The silicone on the lower two bubbles isn’t nearly as plushy as it’s obvious that that is where the motor is, but the top bubble is very plushy but still firm enough for targeted pressure.

The vibrations on the FunFactory Click ‘n’ Charge Bubbles are controlled by the + and – buttons that are flush with the silicone towards the base. This is a place where FunFactory goes amazingly right – these are some of my favorite control buttons out there as they’re easy to push when lubricated and respond nicely. They are very self-explanatory. After the vibrations have been turned up all the way, another push of the + button will begin the cycle through the different patterns. The vibrations are moderate at the strongest, and they seem like they should be stronger, but the vibrations are very buzzy, surface-vibrations. This works well if you like those types of vibrations. The vibrations could definitely be heard in the same room, and depending on how nosy someone is, they could possibly be heard through a closed door as well. They’re significantly softer when the vibrator is inserted.

Charging this is really, really easy. It charges through Fun Factory’s Click ‘n’ charge system. Basically, the base of this vibrator includes a magnetic portion while the charger includes a magnet as well. They attract to one another, and it charges through the magnets instead of having to be plugged in. The charger is pretty easy to line up for charging, and while it probably knock the charger off if you move the toy too much, the magnets do stay connected pretty well. I had no issues with the charging, and the neat thing is that all of your FunFactory Click’n’charge toys can share the same charger!

Now, I’m one of those women that takes external vibrators and uses them externally. After all, g-spot curves are almost always perfect for snuggling up against your body when used externally, and usually, this system works really well for me. However, with the Fun Factory Minivibe Bubbles, it just didn’t work nearly as well as it has worked in the past. What caused the issue?

Showing the size of the vibrator

Well, I think the biggest issue is that the vibration is not centered in the tip of the vibrator. The tip of the vibrator is the “bubble” that is a bit off-center and gives it the g-spot curve. Instead, the motor itself is centered in the second from the top. Because the entire top bubble of the Bubbles is made from pure, solid silicone, it doesn’t vibrate nearly as well when the motor isn’t inside of this top bubble. Silicone transfers vibrations well, but not when there’s a full inch of firm silicone to go through. This means that the vibrations are definitely strongest at the second-from-top bulb.

The second problem is just the fact that the vibrations are not nearly as strong as I was hoping for. They are definitely surface buzzy, and they aren’t all that rumbly. The vibrator sounds like the vibrations should be really, really strong, but it just doesn’t seem to do it for me. I even tried using it clitorally backwards (with the top bubble pointing away from my body). (This was highly awkward, by the way, because of the button placement). I did this so I could figure out if it was the top-bubble causing the problem or if it was the vibrations themselves. It actually was more pleasurable to use it this backwards way as the bubbles nestled perfectly against the vulva, but it still wasn’t strong enough.

These two reasons are the reasons that it didn’t work well for me internally as well. The vibrations weren’t really available too much on the top bubble which is the spot that was supposed to stroke my g-spot. The bubble itself is firm enough to do that – it has a bit of give as it’s silicone, but it still is firm enough to do good g-spot pressure and stroking. Along with that, this toy is definitely a bit short which can make it a bit awkward to attempt to fanagle and get the vibrator to hit the spot correctly. I think if it had another inch or so on it, that would have helped a lot, but as it stands, it’s a bit hard to get a good grip on the base while having it be inserted far enough to hit the g-spot. Of course, your mileage may vary.

So now that I’ve explained how it doesn’t work for me, who do I think it would work for? I think, if you enjoy buzzier and moderate vibrations, this will be a good choice for you. If you are more flexible than I am, you might find the shorter size to be no issue for you at all. If you prefer using a good g-spot dildo that also happens to have some vibrations to it, this one definitely could work for you. It just didn’t work for me, but judging by the reviews, it definitely will work for others!

Cleaning the Minivibe Bubbles is really easy. It’s completely waterproof, so you don’t have to be too careful about the water. You just use warm water and antibacterial soap on the toy itself. It can be sterilized by using bleach, but as it’s small anyway, you might just want to cover it in a condom before use with other partners. For lubricant, it’s only compatible with water-based as it’s a silicone toy.

Overall, while the FunFactory Bubbles is definitely not a favorite for me, I could definitely see how other people could enjoy it. If you like lighter vibrations or want a unique g-spot toy that is smaller in size, this could be your new friend.
