The Big Bastard 2 Inch Wide Ankle Shackles and the Serious 1 1/2 Inch Wide Ankle Shackles are metal ankle bondage shackles from Dungeon Delights. Both sets can be customized to your own ankle measurements, and they both close by an external lock (not included). Each restraint is made from metal, and the regular sizes are 9 inches to 12 inches, but it can be customized larger or smaller as well. You can also customize the colors as well as how many chains (if any) you’d like between the cuffs.
Rick from Dungeon Delights thankfully sent me a package of some of his restraints to review, and I’m so excited that he did! Leather and other materials can be fantastic restraints, and we love using them, but there’s really nothing quite as arousing or as “final” with bondage restraints as the feeling of metal. The cold, rigid, unforgiving feel of metal really lets your partner know that they aren’t going to be moving, and for someone who really loevs bondage and the feeling of security like my partner does, it’s absolutely perfect.
Metal is not the best for those who aren’t ready to take the step into “finality” of bondage. You won’t be able to “escape” these without a key, so if you don’t fully and completely trust your partner yet (which is totally normal for new couples!), this probably isn’t the best for you. You may also want to watch out if you want to use these and have problems with your ankles as they are a bit hefty. You’ll also need to make sure to have locks and keys for the ankle locks, but most small locks (very easy to find) will be able to lock up these cuffs well. If you are in a pinch, you can tie the holes together with string or ribbon, but make sure you’d be able to cut it off.
Because metal is so unforgiving, you might be worried that these bondage shackles wouldn’t fit you. Luckily and amazingly, Dungeon Delights actually takes your measurements (which you give them) before making your bondage restraints. The website will tell you how to measure your ankles accurately to get the steel bondage restraints to fit right, and once the webmaster knows the number (Rick), he can get the right size for you.With us, as the boyfriend is tiny, he had 10 inch ankles, and the cuffs we received fit absolutely perfectly. They are slightly loose so they don’t go into the ankles or pinch the skin, but it’s impossible for him to slip the cuffs off of his feet as well.
You wouldn’t expect the metal ankle restraints to be, but the restraints are relatively comfortable. They haven’t ended up pinching his skin yet, and they have been fully finished, so you don’t get scratched by the surface of the cuffs either. There are no hard edges, and it doesn’t scratch the skin. Each one is powdercoated which does make them last even longer and feel even smoother too!
The two ankle restraint sets close by a small, travel-sized lock. You’ll need to provide your own lock for the cuffs, and the cuffs are designed perfectly to allow the two sides of the cuffs to fit together very nicely. You don’t have to fight with them at all. Neither set includes D-rings which was a slight disappoinment, but I can easily attach things to the inner chains if I need to use this as a bondage point for other types of bondage.
These ankle metal restraints are really, really fun to use. The chains that connect the restraints really give you “automatic” bondage for whatever you want. I had him doing chores in these and shuffling along with it, and it was fun. You also could fasten the cuffs around a bed post to keep your hostage in one spot without having to involve an extra bondage point. They are really easy to fasten on and take back off, and there really isn’t any fighting or pain with them. They do their jobs well, and they have a slight “clanking” to them that’s really sexy!
You’ll want to clean these metal restraints with warm water and anti-bacterial soap for your regular cleaning. If you want to get more intense, you can use bleach to sterilize these. You can share these with multiple partners, and if it gets dirty, it can be sterilized. For storage, store it somewhere near the ground or on lower shelves as these can be relatively heavy compared to other bondage items.
Overall, if you want bondage that is going to be unforgiving, intense, and well-fitting, any of the products from Dungeon Delights will do exactly that. The two ankle metal restraints we tried were very well-made, sized perfectly, easy to take on and off (provided you have the lock and keys). If you want bondage that is hot and fun to play with, these ankle restraints do a great job of it.
