“Curvy Girls” Erotic Anthology Book Review

“Curvy Girls” Erotic Anthology Book

Curvy Girls“, an erotic book published by Seal Press and edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel, focuses on curvy and non-traditional body shapes with the women. This paperback book has 254 pages, and it includes 19 different erotic stories. “Curvy Girls” also includes a foreword by April Flores, and the book features a curvacious woman in her bra/panties on the cover, so it may not be the most discreet for public reading.

As you could guess, the theme for this book is “Curvy women”. However, it’s not the “traditional” idea of purely curvy women. Rachel Kramer Bussel, while there are many stories about plus-sized women, chose to include a wide variety of stories from people with “non-traditional” body shapes. For example, in one of the stories, the story focuses on the woman’s wide calves, and in another, the story is focused on a woman’s extremely large butt. In another, the story focuses on how a woman’s body has changed since she became pregnant and had a child. The majority of the stories, though, are just purely featuring women who are plus-sized in body shape.

One common theme throughout this book of erotic plus-size women stories is “worship”. In almost all of the stories, the woman’s partner tends to worship and assure the woman that her body looks great. It’a semi-common theme is most erotic books, but in this one, it’s a main feature of a lot of the stories.

Along with that, while most of the women have pretty good body-image to start off with, a lot of the stories include the woman becoming more confident in herself and her image as soon as her partner starts to flirt or confess his attraction to her. This may not bother some people, but if you wanted the woman to be extremely confident beforehand, all of the stories may not be to your taste. However, most of the women are still pretty confident before they find their sexual partner in this book.

Not all of the stories are heterosexual, but primarily, they are. There are a couple of threesome stories and a one or two woman/woman stories, but for the most part, all of the stories take place between a man and a woman. In some cases, the couples are in long-term relationships, but many of the stories take place between two people and their first sexual encounter together.

I’m not sure if it’s the fact that I can relate to main characters or whether the stories were honestly better, but I find myself really, really fond of this collection of erotic stories. Maybe it’s because I can relate to the characters or maybe it’s because I find the worship and complimenting of their bodies to be sexy, but I find that all of the stories in this collection were very hot and very entertaining to read. I would easily say that it’s one of my favorite collections of erotica stories that I’ve read in awhile, and the fact that the women had bodily “flaws” as compared to the usual perfection given in most erotic stories really made everything even hotter.

Here are a couple of my favorite stories:
In “Decadence” by Satia Welsh, a plus-size woman goes into a restaurant, and the main cook serves her up a plate of some of his food. Aroused by the sexual sight of watching her eat, the flirting leads to the two of them taking things into a banquet hall for more privacy. This one is VERY hot, and I love the fact that it featured eating as a semi-sexual aspect with a plus-size woman with no shame surrounding it.

In “Champagne and Cheesecake” by A. M. Hartnett, a woman meets up with her two old male friends every year for a fun threesome night between the two of them. Since she has given up smoking, she finds that she has gained 30 pounds, but both of the men agree that she has filled out amazingly and looks just as sexy as always. Of course, this one features a sexy threesome.

In “First Date” by Louise Hooker, a plus-size online cam model, after flirting and entertaining her clients for months, agrees to meet him in person as he’s interested in having a real relationship with her. Of course, the flirting in-person leads to things back at her apartment, and I love how “real” this one was with the woman’s worry about him only wanting the sex and how a cam relationship would translate to real life.

Overall, I’m really, really fond of the Curvy Girls erotica book. I mean, REALLY fond of it. It’s probably my favorite book of erotic stories that I’ve read in awhile, and all of the stories were very hot and kept my attention. I can easily see myself keeping this around as a favorite, and I know I will be re-reading it again. As I can relate to the characters and find the praise and affection of the men in the collection to be very refreshing, I absolutely love the book, and Rachel Kramer Bussel did a fantastic job putting it together. Thanks to Rachel Kramer Bussel for providing the Curvy Girls Erotica Book for my Curvy Girls book review. It can be purchased at Amazon.
