Showing the packaging for the Diva

UPDATE AUGUST 2023: This vibrator and vibrator brand is no longer in production. While you’re here, why not check out some additional educational info – like online submissive tasks, beginner pegging positions, saran wrap bondage, and enema 101 info.

The Chippendales Diva vibe is a clitoral vibrator sold by Babeland Toys. It’s small, slightly rounded, and flat and is made from ABS plastic. It’s five inches in length, but you have to remember that the toy is curved, so it ends up looking smaller than five inches. The Chippendales Diva vibe is intended for broad-surface vibrations with a nice, curved shape to its body that makes it rest comfortably against the vaginal area. It’s designed to be splashproof (not waterproof), so while this can withstand some splashing, it’s not intended for use underwater. It runs on batteries and also does come with a one-year warranty.

The packaging for the Diva reminds me a bit of LELO packaging. It’s a nice, classy outer box that opens up to leave you to pull out the inner, black box. The black box is very discreet and just has the logo discreetly printed on it. Inside that box, you can find the toy itself in a tray, a black satin storage pouch, and the information book. You can easily store the sex toy in this box or use it for packaging without any sort of problem. It’s a classy and discreet black box.

This vulva sex toy runs on three AAA batteries. The battery compartment is a little odd for this use as well. Where the silver metal separates the two pieces of plastic is where the battery compartment top can just be “pulled” off. There’s no latch or no screw or anything – it just pops off.

This works great if your hands are dry, but if you have lubricant on your hands when your batteries die mid-use, you are going to get very frustrated since it won’t come off. This unique battery compartment is the reason this vibrator isn’t waterproof as well.

Inside the battery compartment is an odd little ribbon – the instruction manual says nothing about this ribbon, but I imagine it’s to help get the batteries back out of this toy when you’re done playing with it. I can’t say it helped me with that – when I tugged on the ribbon, the ribbon just came out. I honestly have no idea what it’s for, but it’s attached to the vibe itself.

Getting the batteries in is really easy, but getting the batteries to come back out can be a bit more of a pain. We could get one of the batteries back out of the vibrator, so make sure to put the ribbon in place first in an attempt to help.

The body of the vibrator – showing the buttons too

I’m a bit disappointed about the lack of a recharging feature. For the price, I feel like this vibrator should be rechargeable.

The vibrator is controlled really easily. There are some buttons that are flushed with the body of the toy – one for + and one for -. Even though they are flush (which makes it perfect most of the time since you won’t accidentally press a button), they do have an imprint of the sign on the button which makes it easy to find the button. I didn’t have any problem pressing the wrong button.

Holding the + button will turn the vibrator on and cycle through the different constant vibration strengths. To get to the patterns, you must press and hold down the + on the highest setting. I wish the patterns were easier to get to since this takes a bit to cycle through the patterns now just to get to the pattern you want. Plus, to turn off the vibrator while using patterns, you have to hold the – button which will bring back constant vibrations then you have to hold down the – to cycle the constant vibrations back to off. Really, though, it’s pretty easy to control even if the patterns are a bit annoying.

Along with being easy to control, it’s also pretty strong. I love strong vibrations, and the Diva has strong, rumbling vibrations. Not surface buzzy ones but ones that feel nice and strong and don’t decrease in strength when you apply pressure. This should easily get most people off without a problem. It has a nice variety between soft and strong. It’s pretty strong – not Hitachi-like, but it’s good for three AAA batteries. As for the noise, it could be heard in the same room, but it probably couldn’t be heard through a closed door.

Showing the slight indent on the bottom of the vibrator

I’m not sure exactly how I feel about the Diva. It really depends on my mood and how I’m laying. Because this vibrator provides such a large surface area for the vibrations, it does an amazing job of stimulating the entire genital area. In the body of the vibe, there’s even a slightly raised ridge on the underside that’s supposed to work for sliding between the vaginal lips for more stimulation. However, since the ridge isn’t very long nor pronounced, it doesn’t do much for pinpoint stimulation of the clitoris for me.

If you lay in a position where the thighs are relatively closed, there is just too much padding from the surrounding area to really get the Diva to successfully touch and stimulate the clitoris. However, if you enjoy masturbating with your legs wide open, in a doggy-style position, or just on your knees with your legs spread, you can get the space you need.

However, this is all coming from someone who really enjoys pinpoint clitoral stimulation. This toy was never really intended to provide that stimulation. The neat thing about this vibe is that it can still provide a good amount of pressure because of the plastic material, so you can still grind up against the vibrator for a bit of clitoral stimulation. The vibration does feel nice throughout the entire area though, and the curved shape makes this amazingly easy to hold and honestly doesn’t require much (if anything) in the realm of lubricant to use it.

The neat thing about the Diva is that it fits so comfortably between bodies during sex. As long as the penetrating partner is pushing up against you without being too rough, the Diva even will stay put between two bodies with a bit of helping hand for pleasurable clitoral stimulation during penetration. It’s short enough that it doesn’t even up getting in the way of penetration which is definitely nice. However, if you end up covering it in lubricant, it will slip off.

The Diva is also nicely curved and shaped for other uses. This can easily cup the testicles or the breasts. It can be used on ticklish spots like the back of the knees for lots of fun. Since it’s made of a soft plastic and slides easily without lubricant, it doesn’t require lubricant for use which makes it much less maintenance as well. It can easily be used on any sensitive spots.

As for sex toy cleaning, it’s not the worst. When cleaning, be careful of the creases in the plastic – it seems to pick up and keep messes which is a pain to clean – especially since you can’t really submerge the full body of the vibe. Since this is plastic, you can use it with both water-based and silicone-based lubricant.

Overall? I was pretty satisfied with the Diva. I wish it had a larger ridge to provide more amazing pinpoint clitoral stimulation, but aside from that, it is an okay vibrator. It’s strong, relatively quiet, and ends up working well for stimulating my submissive too. It’s not one of the first vibrators I pull out, but it’s just because I do love my clitoral stimulation. However, for other area stimulation, the Diva is great. I prefer it over my Better Than Chocolate or my Layaspot.
