Looking for one of the most realistic and body-safe dildos I’ve felt in a long time? You’re in the right place. Welcome to my b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy Dildo review.

The b-Vibe Slipskin dildo series focuses on ultra-realistic, with-balls, flared-base dildos in a variety of shapes, colors, and curves. Each dildo is made from dual-density silicone with a (partially removable!) extra-firm inner core and an outermost, super-squishy, movable outer layer. This makes for a bit of the “moving skin” effect on each stroke of your hand.

Each one of the b-Vibe Slipskin dildos features a blue plug in the base. This plug can be removed to access the dildo’s Vac-U-Lock compatible hole in the base. This lets you use this realistic dildo with sex machines, compatible harnesses, or any other accessories you have lying around. When not in use, that blue plug plugs back into the dildo, ensuring the full length of the dildo has that firm, inner core for easier penetration.

Not to leave anyone out, each one of the dildos in this line also has a comfortable, tapered flared base. This allows you to pop this dildo in most flared-base harnesses (though it does have some balls to worry about).

I own the b-Vibe Slipskin Realistic Silicone Dildo in the 9″ Girthy Cream. That’s what you’ll see pictured here throughout this sex toy review.

This 9″ Girthy dildo in Cream is 9″ in total length with an insertable length of 7.8″. At the widest point (around that mid-point of the shaft), it has a diameter of 2.6″. At the tip, it has a slightly-smaller diameter (which makes for easier insertion) of a little over 1.5″. It weighs almost two pounds at a true weight of 1.77 pounds.

Close-up of the head of the dildo. Right underneath the pronounced head is a few layers of wrinkled, realistic head. It has a frenulum, and it really showcases the two corpora cavernose and one corpus spongiosum. For my b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy dildo review.

Wait: There are Other Slipskin Dildos?

The b-Vibe Slipskin dildos are available in two varieties: Curvy and Girthy.

The Girthy dildos are mostly-pointed-straight shafts that have a thick swell in the shaft near the mid-point of the shaft.

The Curvy dildos are much thinner in diameter, but they feature a noticeable curve near the tip, designed for better g-spot and p-spot pleasure.

Within those two options, the Curvy and Girthy dildos are offered in multiple lengths and two different skintones.

This means you can have a 7″ Curvy dildo in Mocha, and you can also enjoy a 9″ Girthy in Cream! This lets you choose the dildo dimensions and shape that works best for you.

All Slipskin dildos are made from 100% body-safe silicone, feature the dual-density silicone material split, and have a large, flared base with testicles to make it safe for anal play. They’re also all circumsized.

The b-Vibe realistic dildos line is relatively new to b-Vibe. I assume they’ll expand the line to more shapes and sizes if it does well.

Is It Really That Realistic?

Wow, is this dildo realistic!

Like…I own hundreds (okay, thousands) of dildos and I’ve written a ton of sex toy reviews just like this b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy dildo review, and this is, by-far, one of the most realistic looking ones I own.

It looks handpainted. The marketing information doesn’t boast this, so I’d assume this is factory-done, but they’ve done a great job in the manufacturing if that’s the case.

The dildo has a ton of features that really make it look a lot more realistic than its realistic dildo competitors:

  • Blush-pink head. This light pink is maybe a little more pink than realistic, but not by much. The spotted, uneven appearance really adds to the realism though. It isn’t just one shade of pink. There are some ombre gradiants going on there.
  • Realistic slit at the top. It even has some depth to it, honestly making it look like you’re seeing into the dildo’s urethra.
  • Veining along the shaft. Run your fingers along the shaft, and you’ll feel a few veins. Not too many; some realistic dildos go unrealistically overboard. The b-Vibe Skipskin Realistic Girthy dildo has just enough to be lifelike.
  • Realistic vein coloration. It’s not enough that it has the tactile veins themselves; b-Vibe has them colored correctly too. They aren’t just blue. They’re blue along the edges of each “vein”, giving that realistic appearance of blood flow under the skin.
  • Textured skin base. The realistic skin texture at the base is really well done. This looks almost exactly on-par with how my laser-hair-removed partner’s pubic area looks like when he’s a bit chilly.
  • Realistic dual-density testicles. There are two firm, hard “lumps” inside of the testicle sacks with soft, squeezable material surrounding them. While the testicle sack skin is a little too firm to feel quite realistic, the dual-density design is still a step above what most realistic dildos offer.

VixSkin vs SlipSkin Realistic Dildos

If you’ve ever received a recommendation from me for the “most realistic dildo” out there, I probably sent you towards the Vixen Creations dildos. I still stand by that. They’re solid toys.

But, honestly, this new Slipskin line is a legitimate contender. I’d say some people will genuinely prefer the Slipskin dildos over the Vixen Creations VixSkin dildos.

So which one is for you?

First, let’s talk about where both dildo lines are the same:

  • Dual Density Design: Both have the dual density material that makes for a “firm” inner core (like a biological shaft filled with blood) with a “softer” external material. (This external material differs, but I’ll get to that in a sec.)
  • Silicone: You can probably find some awful-smelling materials that look realistic off eBay, but both of these dildos are high-quality, scent-free, body-safe, and pleasant to touch and use.
  • Available in Multiple Sizes and Colors: Depending on what you’re looking for, both the Slipskin and VixSkin dildos give you different sizes and colors. Currently, b-Vibe Slipskin dildos are only available in skintone colors. Vixen Creations offers a limited selection of non-realistic colors in the same dildo designs.
  • Circumsized: As far as I’m aware, both lines only offer circumsized options.
My hand is wrapped around the dildo. I am pulling downwards on the dildo, showcasing the fact that the outermost, softest layer of the dildo then folds and moves under the pressure like "real" penis skin.

They are surprisingly different, though. That is:

  • External Dual Density Material: The VixSkin’s outermost layer is soft, thick, and plushy. It does not move along the shaft. The Slipskin’s outermost layer is relatively thin, but it offers a slight up and down movement, much more like real skin along a shaft. In the photo above of the b-Vibe Slipskin dildo, you can see how the material folds under my skin as I pull the dildo upwards.
  • Handpainted-Looking Detailing: The Slipskin dildos have this absolutely gorgeous handpainted-looking detailing. They have a rosy head and blue-colored veins. When poking out from between a jean’s zipper, the Slipskin dildos can look real. The VixSkin dildos, while pleasurable, are still a little too uniform in color to quite pass as a biological peen.
  • An Absence of Testicles: At this point, all Slipskin dildos have a pair of testicles at the base. Some VixSkin dildos have them, and some don’t.
  • Vac-U-Lock Base: VixSkin dildo bases are either flat, designed for strap-on pleasure, or have a suction cup base. The Slipskin dildo bases offer a Vac-U-Lock base, allowing them to be used in any Vac-U-Lock set-up (like a sex machine).

Which dildo is right for you? Well, it really depends on what you’re looking for.

If you were looking for something that was nice and plushy, I’d send you to VixSkin dildos.

If you wanted something that looked really realistic peeking out between your zipper, that’d be more of a Slipskin thing.

For those who want to use their dildo with a sex machine, that’s Slipskin. But if you want your dildo’s base to pleasure a clitoris-owner during strap-on sex, you’re now into the VixSkin dildos.

If you want to support a very small team of artisans, that’s Vixen Creations. The Slipskin dildos are made by b-Vibe, which is still a smaller manufacturer in the realm of the sex toy industry, but it’s still much larger than Vixen.

I’m actually really impressed with this new b-Vibe dildo line. I haven’t seen any manufacturer actually put up a dildo worthy of being compared to Vixen Creations in over a (literal) decade. The Slipskin dildos are worthy of comparison, and in some facets, might even be a preferred option.

My hand is wrapped around the shaft of the dildo. It's extremely wide, and my fingers don't touch when wrapped around the shaft. It's so wide it prevents my fingers from touching. For my b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy dildo review.

b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy Dildo Review: How Does It Feel?

My goodness, this dildo is a beast. To be fair, it’s a 9″ dildo designed to be girthy. It was designed to be a beast. And when you buy that, that’s exactly what you’re hoping to receive.

So yes, you’ll be a very satisfied customer. ;)

The first thing you notice (or well, your hole will notice) is the dildo’s tapered design. Unlike a lot of thick realistic dildos that start with the head as one of the thickest points, the b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy Dildo lets you slowly work your way up to the thickest point.

That is, the head of the dildo is actually slimmer than the middle-shaft of the dildo. This circumsized, realistic head also has a light taper to it, allowing for nicer, gradual penetration when you’re looking at a dildo of this size.

This has a very real benefit if you’re playing along the outer edges of your comfortable stretching limit. When the mushroom head of a dildo is the thickest point of a dildo, the “mushroom” design of the head can accidentally pop itself in at a certain point during penetration. Since the head is the thickest part on many other dildos, this means you can accidentally stretch yourself a bit too far and end up with a bit of discomfort. (We do it all the time with some of our Vixen Creations toys.)

That doesn’t really happen with this b-Vibe realistic dildo. Since the head of the dildo is noticeably slimmer in circumference than the widest point, you, presumably, aren’t stretching near your limits when you insert the head.

My hand is wrapped around the shaft of the dildo. It's extremely wide, and my fingers don't touch when wrapped around the shaft. It's so wide it prevents my fingers from touching. For my b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy dildo review.

The widest point of the dildo, near mid-shaft, is 8.04″ in circumference. In comparison, the tip is only 4.5″ in circumference, right underneath the head at a 7″ in circumference (I even pulled out the measuring tape).

This means that, as you slip past that pronounced head, you’re still a nice, comfortable 1″ in circumference smaller than the widest, furthest-stretch you already assumed you could take (by purchasing this particular dildo’s size).

This has been great for initial insertion for us. Unlike some of our really bulbous-head dildos, I can slide the Slipskin Girthy dildo into him without nearly as much patience. Getting the tip in and stabilized is usually the hardest part (especially when wearing the dildo in a strap-on harness), and having this slimmer tip has drastically reduced that problem.

Instead, I can slide the tip in relatively easily, and with the tip inside of him to keep the dildo from easily buckling under pressure or sliding out, we can now be patient around the middle of the shaft of the dildo where it’s much easier for me to stay still (I don’t have to use my hands to hold the sides of the dildo anymore; the dildo is technically inserted, so it stays in place much better).

Once that dildo’s inside, though, my submissive does say that he misses the bulbous head a bit. For full in-and-out strokes, the slimmer head doesn’t make as much of a large presence against his prostate. It’s just, literally, smaller in width, so there’s less material to hit the p-spot.

Close-up on the base of the dildo. Close-up on the shaft of the dildo. The vein is ridiculously visually lifelike with a light blue tint to it that looks like skin. For my b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy dildo review.

On the brighter side, since the mid-shaft is so dang thick, we’ve found that micro thrusts with him twisted up a bit like a pretzel seems to hit the prostate in a way that most other dildos can’t manage. He says it feels like somewhere in the shaft is “brushing up” against his prostate instead of ramming into it (like with the tip).

We can, occasionally, get that sensation with other dildos that are all-over thick, but this is the first time we’ve been able to replicate it with a dildo that has a slimmer head. It’s been a very pleasant surprise.

This has been great for strap-on use. Since I don’t actually have sensation in the dildo (because, y’know, it’s a dildo), I can’t actually feel where the dildo is in space. Staying in deep and just pulling out in smaller micro-thrusts pretty much eliminates the usual “oops, it fell out” problem we can have when we’re doing full, long thrusts.

Let’s Talk Strap-On Play

I’ve already talked about why I love using this dildo in a strap-on harness in the section above.

To recap, though:

  • The tapered tip means that the head inserts faster, and we can “pause” at the thickest, middle part of the shaft instead. This lets me move my hands out of the way of the harness faster, letting me support my weight in whatever position we’re in.
  • The thickest point at mid-shaft means that I can still give nice stimulation without withdrawing all the way, reducing how often the dildo slips out.

What about getting this realistic dildo into a harness itself? How does that work?

I’ll admit it isn’t as seamless as some of my non-testicle dildos, but that’s purely because of the testicles themselves. Most of my favorite strap-on harnesses (shout out to the Joque!) use a built-in O-ring, so I have to tuck those hanging friends into the harness itself. If I had a strap-on harness that used an external/interchangeable O-ring or a Vac-U-Lock harness, that wouldn’t be an issue.

That being said, when wearing this dildo in a harness, I really, really appreciate that tapered, flexible base material they added. Unlike some flared base dildos with extra-firm edges, the slender, flexible base of the b-Vibe Slipskin 9″ Girthy dildo doesn’t press uncomfortably into my skin no matter what position I’m in. It really does bend with me.

I can’t necessarily forget that I have a 9″ monster hanging between my legs, but I only notice it when I run into the shaft itself with a thigh – not from uncomfortable pressure at the base.

And when I pull just the shaft of this bad boy out from between the fly of my jeans, it looks impossibly realistic. It’s ridiculously hot!

I stand in front of a window with the dildo strapped on. Only the outline of my body is visible, but the gigantic dildo is protruding really far away from my body. For my b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy dildo review.

b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy Dildo Review: Can I Hand Hold It?

This silicone dildo can be gripped and used on yourself with your hands. I have to say it isn’t my favorite for that. When I’m going to use a dildo on myself with my hands, I want something really firm to grip onto.

Since the base of the Slipskin Girthy Dildo has that tapered, fade-to-thin oval design to it, it tends to bend under my grip. It becomes a two-handed problem if I have any lube on my hands. The base can collapse under a single hand’s grip.

The only way around this seems to be using the balls as the gripping point. This works fine, but it requires me to hold the dildo upside down. Once it’s upside down, the slight curve the dildo has is now upside down, pushing the dildo away from the g-spot and/or p-spot.

This dildo feels fantastic for lots of uses; I would just say that its unique base design makes it lend best to strap-on and sex machine use in a way that other dildos don’t.

Close-up on the base of the dildo. There's a blue, removable firm-up stick in the base of the dildo that provides stability when the Vac-U-Lock hole is not in use. For my b-Vibe Slipskin Girthy dildo review.

Sex Machine Use?

I recently bought the Leg Spreader Obedience with Sex Machine (and a review is coming soon!)

This is relevant because the sex machine offers a Vac-U-Lock attachment base for the included sex machine. Since we primarily play anally, I like to stick to silicone material sex toys that can be sanitized. Weirdly enough, realistic human penis silicone toys with Vac-U-Lock bases are hard to find. Doc Johnson (who owns/created the Vac-U-Lock tech) doesn’t offer a single one.

This makes the b-Vibe Slipskin line one of the few options I’ve seen for realistic sex machine dildos that can be sanitized.

And yep, it pops right onto that sex machine post with ease. The machine struggles with a little more than some other options (because this is a 9″, thick-ass dildo that weighs almost 2 pounds), but I’m sure it wouldn’t have the same struggles if I had the shorter 6″ version.

It has become our go-to dildo for sex machine play.

Summary

b-Vibe really outdid themselves with the Slipskin Realistic dildo line. Even before you actually use it, the visual is hot AF, the material means zero worries, and the base provides a sturdy, comfortable resting point for this shaft to stand tall.

Once I actually got my hands wrapped around it, I was even more impressed. The dual-density material design is chef’s kiss for realism. The skin slides up and down the shaft without being overly fragile. The plushiness feels fantastic – especially at the head – while the firm inner core means that I can still slide it into tight, “resistant” areas without worrying about it giving under the pressure.

I’m also particularly fond of the Girthy variant of this line. The tapered head, that gently grows into the thickest width at the mid-section of the shaft, makes for much easier strap-on sex, reducing how awkwardly I have to try to stay perfectly still while the first two inches aren’t even in yet.

Seriously, b-Vibe blew it out of the park with this one. Just completely out of the park. This and the Vixen Creations line are now my two go-to recommendations for realistic dildos.

It only loses a star in durability as it is a dual-density material. Make sure you keep sharp objects (including your fingernails) away from the super-soft, outermost material to avoid harming it.

(I’d give this dildo 8 out of 5 stars for visual appeal if I could. It’s virtually impossible to get this level of realism in a body-safe option without spending upwards of $400 on a dildo. I know; I’ve looked! Add on the fact that this dildo even includes Vac-U-Lock functionality, and this is a literal gem.)
