Adam & Eve Rechargeable Magic Wand Massager 2.0 Review

Adam & Eve Rechargeable Magic Wand Massager 2.0
The Adam & Eve Massager

UPDATE March 2021: The Adam & Eve Rechargeable Magic Wand Massager is no longer in production. If you’re looking for a high-powered wand massager like this one, you’re much better off with the Magic Wand Rechargeable from Vibratex which offers more power – and is still rechargeable – or the Lovense Domi 2 which is I love to absolute bits and is one of the most powerful wand massagers I’ve ever used.

The Adam & Eve Rechargeable Magic Massager 2.0 is a silicone wand massager that is rechargeable. It’s purple in color, and the head of the massager is silicone while the body is plastic. It includes two different speeds, and it features a semi-flexible head to reach where you want it to. It’s about a foot long, and it features some very, very strong vibrations.

The texture on the head

The packaging for this wand massager slightly resembles the Hitachi’s packaging – just more up-to-date. It shows men and women (I think these may be Adam&Eve contracted porn stars?) using the massager on their shoulders and backs, and it talks about the features of the massager.

I’ve honestly wanted one of these since I saw Pop My Cherry’s review over it. This wand massager is designed very similarly to the Hitachi Magic Wand – except it’s a cute, purple color, has texture around the head of the toy, and is rechargeable instead of requiring being plugged in for use! Those all sounded like good reasons to check out this wand massager. And it turned out to be all true.

Like previously stated, this vibrating wand massager is rechargeable. It recharges through the charging port at the base of the vibrator. This charging port is actually an open port when the vibrator is not plugged in to charge. There is a plastic piece that comes with it that seems to keep it “plugged up” when it’s not charging, but it is an open port. This plastic piece also will not allow the wand massager to turn on, so if you want to travel with the massager, the plastic piece works well, but for use itself, you just want to avoid getting any bodily fluids into this hole. While charging, the wand massager does not have any charge indicator, so you’ll just want to estimate when it’s done charging and unplug it. It does seem to ship with some charge to it though.

Controls for the Wand Massager

The controls for the Adam & Eve Rechargeable Magic Massager 2.0 resemble that of the Hitachi Magic Wand. I’m actually a bit disappointed about this because, with the change of the massager, it seems like it would have been easy to change the normal switch control to a dial that allows for more precise control of the vibrations. Instead, it does use the switch control which means that there is an off, a low, and a high setting. The switch is easy to flip between the different settings, though, so it’s very easy to use.

I am DEFINITELY impressed by the vibrations. Sometimes, when you go from being a wall-socket plug-in to rechargeable, the vibration strength gets lost in the process. NOT with this. The vibrations rival the Hitachi, and since the biggest problem with the Hitachi is the fact that it must be plugged in, this massager will easily now be taking its place. It does still have the same loud-ness issue that the Hitachi does – it can easily be heard outside of a closed door, and it resembles the loudness of a small appliance. It’s not loud enough to really distract during sex (especially once you’re used to it), but it’s definitely hear-able.

Some women may find that this is too power for direct clitoral stimulation. If you want, use this with clothing on to help reduce the intensity of the vibrations. If you require very, very strong vibrations to orgasm, this wand massager will provide it. If you do need weaker vibrations though, just using this through clothing or applying it lightly helps weaken it enough for use, but honestly, this is not really a “first vibrator” choice. The vibrations are INTENSE, so if you haven’t tried a vibrator before, you should try a battery operated one first and upgrade if it isn’t strong enough.

How it plugs in to charge

Another problem we’ve had with rechargeable wand massagers is that they have that buzzy or high-pitched vibrations. This one does not. It has the deep, rumbly, under-the-skin vibrations that the Hitachi itself has, and that’s so, so, so much amazing! The vibrations are deep, rumbly, and very pleasurable.

A change with this wand massager is that it includes texture on the head of the wand massager. The Hitachi’s head is flat with no specific texture. The Adam & Eve Rechargeable Magic Massager 2.0 has a texture. The lower-half of the massager head has small dots on it while the upper head has ridges that run along the sides of the massager. There’s no texture on the head itself, and honestly, through panties or clothing, you can’t even feel the texture of the head while using it on yourself. You can barely feel the texture while using it without clothing as a barrier. It really doesn’t seem to make too much difference with use compared to no-texture of teh Hitachi, but if you tend not to lubricate well for external use, this may be painful for you, so you may want to keep that in mind.

To clean this, you do have to be a bit careful because there’s that open socket at the base of the vibrator. It is not waterproof at all, so try to keep the water to the head of the massager only if possible. The silicone head isn’t compatible with silicone lubricants, so use water-based lubricants for it.

The packaging for the Adam & Eve Rechargeable Magic Wand Massager 2.0

Overall, this is DEFINITELY replacing our Hitachi Magic Wand. It doesn’t require being plugged into the wall, and it looks much, much cuter. It recharges easily, looks great, AND has the same strong vibrations I require of my Hitachi Magic Wand. The only issue I have with it is the fact that it doesn’t use a dial like I would have liked.
