The Tantus Echo dildo with handle is a silicone dildo available from SheVibe. It is almost a foot in length, and it has an insertable length of seven inches with a width of 1.5 inches (at the tip which is the widest point). It’s made from body-safe silicone, and it comes with a handle towards the base of the dildo. It comes in a pink and purple variety, and the dildo does not have any option for vibrations like some Tantus dildos do.
The packaging for this dildo is just like their standard Tantus dildo packaging. It comes in a see-through package that allows you to see the dildo through the packaging before opening it. As this silicone dildo does tend to pick up hair and lint, you may want to keep the original packaging to store the dildo in.
The design of this dildo very closely resembles the original Echo dildo. However, the special feature of this silicone handle dildo is the fact that it has a handle! The entire dildo is made from silicone, but you can definitely feel the difference in the mixture of the silicone between the dildo portion and the handle portion (and you can also see the difference in pictures as well). The Echo Handle Dildo is widest at the tip (about 1.5 inches), and it gets smaller in diameter from there. Along the shaft, there are also ridges along the upper side of the dildo. In comparison to the original Tantus Echo dildo, though, the ridges along the shaft are much more tame and not as pronounced.
The handle works surprisingly well. Tantus placed a good, wider base at the bottom of the handle, so even if your hands are slippery, it’s pretty hard for your hand to slide off of the bottom of the dildo. Along with that, the handle includes little grooves where your fingers can easily rest to give you a bit more leverage when using the dildo. The handle is pretty firm, and it doesn’t have any squish under your fingers. Because of the more-draggy material on the handle, it, again, gives you more stability when using the dildo.
Along with that, the dildo and the handle are pretty firm which means that the dildo doesn’t really “collaspe on itself” during use. It tends to stay firm, and when held horizontally as in my pictures, you can easily see that the dildo doesn’t really droop at all. When it comes to things like anal use, this comes in great handy because the dildo tends to stay straight forward without bending – even if you’re being really rough. I know I’ve had some dildos “fold” on me in the past, and it’s certainly uncomfortable, if not painful, and it always interrupts what’s going on, so I’m glad that the Echo Handle dildo doesn’t do that.
This dildo would work okay for anal, especially with the length, but it doesn’t tend to lend itself too well for that. That’s because of the design of the Echo dildo itself. The Echo has a really large head, and it gets smaller in size the farther you go down the shaft. This means that you have to insert the largest part before you use the smaller parts, and for most people with less anal experience, this will make things a lot harder in the beginning. If the design was switched around (smaller head with a larger shaft), this would work easier for a lot of anal users. However, if you are okay with inserting something that’s around one and a half inches off the bat (the largest diameter), then you should be fine.
This dildo does tend to work much better for vaginal use. The shape tends to work out better, and the ridges feel much more pleasurable when used vaginally. Personally, I find that I can be a lot rougher, and as the handle allows for some really good leverage, you can get some strong and deep thrusting while using this Echo Handle Dildo. The ridges along the Echo Handle Dildo can be felt while thrusting, but I wouldn’t say that they feel intense. They definitely can be felt, and it adds something to the experience, but the dildo itself is more of the focus for me.
In the “fight” between solo and partnered use, though, I have to say that partnered use definitely wins on this dildo for most positions. For some positions (for example, if you were going to get on all fours and use the dildo from behind), the handle helps a ton for solo positions. For other solo positions, though, I found that having the actual base versus having a handle was much more helpful. For a lot of the partnered positions, though, when you bring your partner into it, the handle is much more of a help than it in a hinderence, though, and it helps get some pretty good leverage behind the thrusting.
To clean this silicone dildo, you can use warm water and antibacterial soap. The dildo doesn’t really have any difficult crevices, so it’s very easy to clean. It can be sterilized by using a bleach solution or boiling the dildo, but when it comes to boiling, you’ll have to find a pot large enough to boil it. It’s longer than the standard-sized large pot, but if you have a long, slender pot, it would work for that. For lubricant, it does require a water-based lubricant, and silicone-based lubricants could harm the surface of the dildo. For storage, the Echo Handle Dildo does pick up some hair and lint, so I’d recommend getting a storage bag (a large-sized zipping baggie is probably too small; you’d need like, extra-large size because of this dildo’s length) or keeping it in the packaging for storage.
Overall, if you want to use this for vaginal use and have a partner who will regularly use it with you, it’s definitely a fantastic purchase. It tends to be an odder dildo for anal use, and the handle can be problematic for some solo uses, but overall, the handle addition to this Tantus Echo Handle dildo works surprisingly well, has good stability, and makes it easy to use a dildo with a handle. Thanks to SheVibe adult toys for providing this dildo with handle by Tantus for my Echo Handle Dildo review.
