“The Secrets of Great G-Spot Orgasms and Female Ejaculation” is a new book written by Tristan Taormino about the g-spot and female ejaculation. The book is 160 pages long and includes thirteen different chapters. The entire book includes full-color pages on the inside. The book does have a lot of full-color pictures inside of it of semi-nude people, so I wouldn’t recommend reading this in public.
This book honestly reminds me of one of Tristan’s other books: The Big Book of Sex Toys. The beautiful book design and the layout of the pages on the inside are somewhat similar. Both include full-color, full-page pictures of couples, and both include colored backgrounds and nice, photography pages on the inside of the book. As both books are published by Quiver Press, it makes sense that the books are similar in design, and if you liked the look and feel of The Big Book of Sex Toys, you’ll probably like the look and feel of this g-spot book.
This g-spot book includes a lot of great information about the g-spot and female ejaculation. The book isn’t the most in-depth resource I’ve ever read, but it covers a lot of areas, and it is very interesting and enjoyable to read instead of being drab. The book covers the history of the g-spot, how to find the g-spot, solo g-spot exploration, toys for the g-spot, partnered g-spot exploration, sex positions for the g-spot, anal penetration with g-spot stimulation, g-spot orgasms, female ejaculation, learning to ejaculate, and a bunch of resources.
I love the fact that Quiver Press chose to make this book a full-color book. The full-color aspect helps a ton with the information. The color aspect really makes reading the book much more interesting. There are full-color pictures of couples on full-page picture pages, and it really adds a ton to the reading. The pages feel really fancy and nice in your hands, and the layout and design of the book really takes advantage of the full-color aspect. The photography included in the book looks like all pictures from Tristan’s films, and while the women and men are obvious porn actors (with porn-perfect bodies), the photography looks really nicely done and professional.
Along with the information, Tristan chose to include three different g-spot erotica stories. The stories are written by famous erotica writers ( Rachel Kramer Bussel, Alison Tyler, Valerie Alexander ), and the stories themselves are quite erotic. They span a couple pages, and they easily fit into the chapters that Tristan has planned out. Each one has to do with an aspect of the g-spot, and for those who are cautious about wanting to get started with g-spot exploration, the stories are there to make everything more erotic.
I really enjoy that Tristan Taormino did not include any sort of spiritual aspect about it. The other popular g-spot books I’ve read really have a focus about the g-spot orgasm being a spiritual and “higher plain” type of orgasm. For those that have issues getting to their g-spot or don’t like the sensation, I always found that to be an alienating point of view. I’m very happy to see that Tristan Taormino chose to stick to the facts, and while she definitely shows the spiritual viewpoint in statements like “some women find…”, she sticks to the biological facts that can make it easier to read and love the book if spirituality is not high on the list of priorities for you.
I did find that I would have liked some picture aspects in a couple areas. For example, with some of the sex positions, I would have loved to see the picture shown through a picture instead of just with Tristan describing the position. Along with that, when Tristan talks about different types of g-spot toys she recommends, I would have loved to see pictures shown of the toy, so readers could imagine and see what the toy looks like instead of just trying to find it by name.
I was quite excited by the female ejaculation chapter of this book. Most chapters tend to talk about it, in-depth, about the spiritual aspect of it, but I enjoy the fact that Tristan Taormino just gives step-by-step instructions about how to achieve female ejaculation instead of focusing on that. She talks about what causes female ejaculation and gives step-by-step instructions for self-gspot stimulation as well as g-spot stimulation done by your partner. I find this section to be one of the most helpful sections of the book though, with the title including the words “Female Ejaculation” right in it, I was a bit saddened to see that there was only one chapter out of the thirteen chapters dedicated to female ejaculation. It was still a good chapter, though.
Overall, I definitely think that The Secrets of Great G-Spot Orgasms and Female Ejaculation is a fantastic book. Tristan Taormino covers g-spot orgasms and female ejaculation without a spiritual twist, and she gives a lot of great suggestions and great knowledge about the g-spot. I would have liked to see a couple more specific example pictures, but it’s a minor complaint, and I’d still definitely recommend this book as it comes across as professional, very fun-to-read, and very fun to look at. Thanks to Tristan Taormino for providing this g-spot help book for my The Secrets of Great G-Spot Orgasms and Female Ejaculation book review.
