The Ellie Shoes Wonder 6″ Pointed Stiletto Heels are beautiful black shoes that also includes a 2″ platform for a total of a 4″ heel. The shoes feature a zipper along the backside of the heel for easy entry. The shoes are open toe, but the straps of the shoe do also come up to around the ankle for extra support and ease of walking. They are available in a size six through ten and in both red and black.
I love the Ellie Shoes shoeboxes. They are pink and black, and they look sexy as well as playful. The shoes come covered very well in tissue and has tissue paper holding up the insides of the shoe as well to avoid creasing. The shoes fit very easily back into the box if you’d like or these shoes can be stored on the floor. The straps tend to stay up on their own, so you don’t need to store the shoes with any magazines or other helpings inside the shoe itself.
One of my favorite things about this heel is the fact that it doesn’t look entirely like it belongs in the bedroom. Yes, this will go amazingly with most steamy lingerie, but it also could be partnered with a dress or jeans if you plan on going out to a club, bar, or another establishment. I love shoes that can do “double” what they’re intended for, and these Wonder Pointed Stiletto shoes do just that.
The shoes actually are pretty sexy and relatively comfortable on my feet. Because of the open-toed aspect, for long wears, my feet tend to slide towards the bottom of the shoe which is uncomfortable, but I’ve found that putting one of those foot grips on the bottom of the toes can really help. Along with that, the Ellie Shoes Wonder 6″ Pointed Stiletto is pretty forgiving on wider feet, so it fits a bit more of wider feet than most heels do. The gap at the top of the shoe around the ankle is pretty wide as well, so despite my ankles being pretty large, while it’s tight, my ankles still fit into the shoe pretty comfortably.
Getting into the shoe is actually pretty easy. However, zipping up the back of the shoe can be difficult. The zipper likes to get stuck, and it does take quite a bit of wiggling and forcing to get the zipper to zip up like it’s supposed to. The zipper is probably the most frustrating part of wearing the shoes. However, the zipper does seem to come undone while wearing the shoes, so it seems like the designers of the shoes do make it firm enough to keep it from slipping down – unfortunately, that also makes it hard to zip up too.
The heels definitely require some experience walking around in high heels. These are certainly very high heels, and while I can manage it inside the house alright, I wouldn’t be able to be out in these all night – no way. My balance is not quite good enough for that yet. With practice, though, I may be able to wear these with outfits, and these shoes are absolutely gorgeous on my feet!
Overall, I love these shoes, and I love how they “grip” onto the ankle for support while also still looking open-toed enough for lingerie. The stiletto heel is sexy, and while the zipper can be frustrating, I’m willing to put up with it in order to wear these shoes. (They’d be beautiful with these ankle cuffs!)
