Picobong Koa Couples Vibrator Review

Picobong Koa Couples Vibrator
The Picobong Koa with the Picobong dice

UPDATE OCTOBER 2023: This small vibrator is no longer in production. This sex toy review remains as a reference for those who are curious. While you’re here, why not check out some additional educational info – like online submissive tasks, beginner pegging positions, saran wrap bondage, and enema 101 info.

The Picobong Koa vibrator is a cock ring vibrator made from silicone and plastic. It is about four inches long, and it has a diameter of about an inch. It uses one AAA battery which is supposed to last two hours of use. It includes steady vibration patterns as well as patterned vibration patterns. The body of the toy is silicone while the ring and base of the toy is made from plastic.

This Picobong Koa review will not cover everything about the Koa couples ring vibrator as I covered the Picobong vibrator controls, the battery system, the packaging, and how their vibrations are over at my Picobong Vibrators Overview post. Please go there and check out that information for futher information about the use of the toy. This review will deal with the specific information on the Picobong Koa.

Showing the vibrator and how the loop looks

The Koa couples vibrator was intended to a cock-ring type vibrator. I honestly never would have guessed it from looking at the shape, but the box says that the ring will provide increased staying power for him and a mighty climax for her. The ring at the base of the Koa is supposed to be the ring that goes around his cock, and as the ring itself is left open towards one of the sides, it is supposed to make it easier to adjust it for various-sized penises.

This Picobong vibrator didn’t end up working well for us either. We’ve had some set-backs with other Picobong vibrators (like the Tano vibrator), but this one was not a good experience either. The cock-ring piece is actually made of plastic. I don’t know about your experience with plastic, but with this ring, the plastic doesn’t end up being flexible enough to actually fit onto the penis comfortably. The plastic will stretch far enough to get on the penis (barely), but after that, it holds on really, really tightly – and not in a pleasant way. As the cock ring only holds on one side of the cock, it leaves the penis feeling uncomfortable on the open-ended side as well.

Then you actually have to add that to use. We got it to sit still on the penis long enough, and once you add that, there really doesn’t seem to be anywhere to go with the vibrations of the vibrator. It’s not really a ring with a vibrator coming out at 90 degrees. It’s actually a ring with a vibrator hanging off of one of the sides. With that in mind, things don’t actually mesh up angle-wise unless you are doing some creative sex positions. Regular missionary and things will leave the vibrator off towards the vulva instead of the clitoris. This doesn’t leave things in the optimal place for vibrations.

This is as far as the Koa ring stretches

The best use of this vibrator does seem to be best as just as a typical finger vibrator. This way, it doesn’t hurt to wear it, and you have an easy-grip area where you can apply the vibrations to your own body. The ring is large enough that two fingers will fit easily, so you can get a good grip on the toy. Plus, as it won’t be inserted, then, you’ll easily have access to the controls on the vibrator, and you can change things as you need to. Comparatively, I’d still recommend the Picobong Ipo as the better finger vibrator from the PicoBong line, though, so your second-best usage for this vibrator may be on inanimate objects like a dildo that may not care much if the squeeze is too tight.

Overall, the Picobong Koa ends up being an okay finger vibrator, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a cock ring. If you’re looking for more of a finger vibrator, I’d probably recommend the Picobong Ipo instead of this one as well. The plastic is just too rigid to comfortably fit over a penis, but if you have a smaller-diameter dildo, you could fit it onto that to add vibrations to a dildo. For the most part, it does seem to function best when held in the hand like a regular vibrator though. Thanks to Paris Intimates for providing this couples ring for my Picobong Koa review.
