Like all Evolved toys, the packaging for the Lucky 13 is really pretty and really beautiful. It comes in a plastic box is that is completely see-through. It’s high-quality, hard plastic – not a soft plastic that folds. The lid easily comes up with the hinges on each of the sides. Inside this plastic box is a little plastic tray that holds the vibrator in place. The packaging itself shows off the web address, some basic product information, and honestly, it’s a downright amazing way to store the product. However, it is very see-through, so keep the box away from prying eyes if you don’t want people to know that you have a sex toy.
The Evolved Lucky 13 is just one vibrator in the Evolved Roulette series. Each one of the Roulette vibes is virtually the same in terms of vibrations and use, but the biggest difference is the colors and the textures of the shaft. The Evolved Lucky 13 has a really interesting texture. The shaft of the vibrator is made from silicone while the base of the sex toy (with the dial) is made from a slick, but gripable, plastic. The shaft of the sex toy has an interesting texture that I’ve never seen on a sex toy before. Most just usually have ridges, waves, or other types of things. This one actually has ridge where there are dot-like textures on the ridges. You can’t feel the little dots in the toy, but you certainly can feel the ridges during use.
This silicone vibrator requires two AA batteries. The base of the vibrator twists off to easily let you slip the batteries, and the base twists right back up afterwards. The batteries slip in and out really easily. Once you slip in the batteries, you can easily control the vibrator through the control dial at the base of the toy. This is a really unique way of controlling the sex toy as most sex toys don’t use this. Because the dial is slightly smaller than the plastic that surrounds it, the dial doesn’t accidentally get bumped during use which is good. You can control the exact speed of the vibrator as the dial allows for progressive adjustment.
The vibrations of the vibrator are on the lower end of the strong spectrum. Plus, this sex toy’s vibrations are extremely rumbly. They don’t feel buzzy at all! On the highest setting, you can barely hear the sex toy in the same room, and there’s no way that the Evolved Lucky 13 could be heard outside of a closed door.
I think this vibrator ends up working best for internal use. It seems to work okay for clitoral use, but the vibrations are mostly centered towards the center of the toy (and not the tip!), so it doesn’t seem to work quite as well. During insertion, though, that seems to be really where the vibrator shines. The vibrator does require lots of lubrication in order to insert it comfortably, but once you are warmed-up and the toy is lubed up, it’s possible to insert pretty comfortably. Once inserted, the g-spot tip didn’t seem to do much for me (but like all of my reviews, I do have to put this disclaimer that my g-spot is really hard to hit, so don’t feel like it won’t work for you), The texture on the shaft can certainly be felt during use. It feels really funky, and as long as it’s well-lubed, it adds something different. I can’t say that it’s the most pleasant texture in the entire world (especially compared to other vibrators), but it isn’t half-bad.
The main thing that I love, though, about this sex toy when used internally is the vibrations. The vibrations are really rumbly, really deep, and they spread throughout the body of the vibrator just perfectly. No matter where at in the shaft, you will be able to feel the vibrations. It’s strongest at the head (but not in the very tip), and it can still be felt pleasurably throughout the entire toy. I love it!
For external use, the vibrator will appeal best to those who like rumbly vibrations and require pressure from their vibrators. If you like a light touch, the tip of this silicone sex toy doesn’t vibrate enough to really give the full sensation. However, if you want to push it hard up against your body, you can definitely feel a lot of the rumbly vibrations from this sex toy, and you won’t be left longing. Just know what types of vibrations and sex toys work best for you as if you are this toy’s type, it certainly can work okay. I still believe that it’s shining application is in internal use though.
Cleaning this sex toy is easy since it is waterproof. You just use warm water and antibacterial soap to clean it. It can easily fit into a condom for multiple-person use, and you could bleach it for sterilization if need be. As it’s a silicone sex toy, you can use water-based lubricant with this sex toy, but you can’t use silicone-based lubricant as it could harm the toy. For storage, you can keep it in the original packaging, and it does pick up a bit of lint, so you might want to be careful where you store it.
Overall, the Lucky 13 vibrator is a really good choice if you are looking for an insertable toy with some strong, rumbly vibrations. It ends up giving off some strong vibrations, and it is easy to control and easy to change the batteries.
