UPDATE: MAY 2020: The 5-Piece Vibrating Position Pillowcase with Dildo is no longer in production. Well, the Sedeux Flare is still available, but the kit itself is no longer made nor sold. It’s a shame. Even 9 years later, this is one of my favorite pillowcases – even for non-sex purposes. The microfiber material is super-soft and the velcro makes it super easy to wash and put pillows in.
The 5-piece Vibrating Position Pillowcase with Dildo Set (which is a mouthful!) is a Sportsheets product. This set comes with a microfiber pillowcase, a dildo holding pad, a Hump and Bump vibrator, and a Sedeux Flare dildo. The only thing you need to provide is the pillow itself.
The packaging is a nice, cardboard box. It’s surprising how well everything fits into the box. The pillowcase comes folded up, and it can be a bit hard to get everything back in the box, so we’ve tossed the box. The box is very classy, and it shows the product really nicely.
First up, we’ll look at the pillow. This pillow is made from microfiber, but it is still a really nice pillow. It feels almost like the material that Liberator uses to cover their shapes, so it’s a nice, soft material. This pillowcase will fit any size regular pillow. It works with a standard pillow as well as a king-size pillow. It’s definitely a large pillowcase. Just to avoid it falling off the pillow, Sportsheets also added a strip of velcro along one side of the pillow. When you put the pillow in, you just fold over the velcro, and it will secure the pillowcase to the pillow itself. When you’re done having fun, this pillowcase is washing-machine safe, so just toss the pillowcase into the washing machine, and it’ll be brand sparkling new for the next time you want to play.
The next thing we’ll focus on is the dildo pad. The dildo pad is basically a piece of material that is soft on one side and includes velcro on the other. The velcro covers the entire side of the opposite side. The Sedeux Flare has a diameter of about an inch and a fourth, and it fits easily in here. This can easily go up to 1 3/4 inches of a dildo diameter. However, I wouldn’t get much larger than that as, if you try to stretch it too much, you may find the velcro of the dildo pad to scratch up your dildo (it didn’t hurt mine, but if you force a 2″ diameter or larger dildo, I’m afraid it might).
The Hump and Bump vibe is a small, little pillow-type thing that is about four inches long and about three inches tall. This little pillow has a small pocket on the side where a bullet vibrator slides in. This set includes the bullet vibrator, and any standard-sized bullet will fit in here as well. The bullet that Sportsheets included is a standard, one-speed bullet, and it does come with batteries. This bullet makes the little pillow vibrate surprisingly well. It’s not nearly as strong as a plain vibrator would be, but it does vibrator with low-moderate vibrations. I’m not sure most women would be able to orgasm from those vibrations, but it does provide a good tease. In case you want to get adventurous, the Hump and Bump pillow also includes another little bullet hole on the opposite side of the pillow to give you options as to where you place the little bullet.
The dildo is the Sedeux Flare. This is a silicone, 5 and a half inch dildo that is made from a marbled-looking red color. It has a diameter of about an inch and a fourth, and it includes a small base that makes it anal safe and harness-compatible. It fits nicely into the dildo base, and if you want, you can use it with a harness as well. It curves slightly to the side, and it’s flexible, but it’s still rigid. This dildo is flexible enough for easy insertion, but it does still hold its shape really nicely. It is firm enough to do well for g-spot stimulation, but if you enjoy dildos hitting your cul-de-sac or your cervix, this dildo is probably not going to be long enough to hit that during penetration.
So how well does the entire set work? Brilliantly actually. The dildo pad holds down your dildo really nicely to the pillowcase. With regular thrusting, it does not pull up the dildo or release the velcro pad at all. The only way to release it is to pull up on one of the corners, and even then, it can be a bit difficult, so it definitely doesn’t move during use. I’ve had no problems with the velcro of the dildo pad scratching my skin either. It stays nice and soft during use, and while you can definitely feel the difference between pillowcase and dildo pad, it doesn’t cause any pain.
Like the dildo pad, the Hump and Grind stays nicely on the pillow as well. It doesn’t stay quite as nicely, but there’s no reason you should be tugging and thrusting onto this one, so it doesn’t need to be as strong. I had no problem with it coming undone during use, and it stayed pretty strong and firm. The bullet, if it’s not strong enough for you, can be replaced by any standard-sized bullet, and if you want, you can add two bullets – one to each side of this little pillow for extra power!
One of my other favorite parts about this set is the easy clean-up. Each piece of the set can easily be thrown into the washer and dryer if you get any messes on them. You can use regular lubricants like this (except this dildo requires water-based lubricant) You can store the entire dildo and the entire set inside the pillowcase itself. It’s really very easy to clean up the entire set after you’re finished with it.
I like this set. No, doesn’t hold the dildo as firmly as the Liberator Bon Bon does, so you will sink into your pillow during use. It doesn’t feel like a penis attached to a human – it feels like a dildo on a pillow. (That’s really hard to explain, but sometimes you want things to go deeper, and with this set, the pillow folds in before you can get “deeper”.) However, the Liberator Bon Bon doesn’t give you clitoral stimulation as well, and for things like the Liberator Pulse, there’s no way to adjust what feels best for you. I love this set because this lets you adjust and it becomes entirely discreet in seconds. There’s really no way for things to fail because of placement because YOU choose the placement. No clitoral stimulation? A-okay. Want a dildo in your bum tonight and clitoral stimulation? Just move one of the items a bit.
