MyPleasure Cosmetic Kit Review

A picture of everything that's included minus the bag. Notice how large the brush is and how realistic the lipstick looks.

When I was contacted by a company that sells sex toys to review a MyPleasure Cosmetic Kit, I was really happy and surprised. My boyfriend has been eying it for awhile because it looks so cute. I was really surprised to receive this make-up set so soon, though. This sex toy store has great shipping policies.

The kit includes a Hidden Pleasures Lipstick Vibrator, the Incognito Brush Vibrator, and the Nipple Nibbler Sample Pack. MyPleasure is having a promotion where they giftwrap your order as well, so my order came in some red cellophane tied with a ribbon. Inside the cellophane was a beautiful satin black drawstring bag that carried all of the entire set. The satin bag is thirteen inches tall and about eight inches wide. It carries the “MyPleasure” logo emblazoned in the middle of the bottom of one side. You can’t see the toys that are in the bag while they’re in there. It easily carries the entire set even when its still in its plastic. After the toys have been taken out of their packaging, this could fit the entire set and more toys. It’s a cute little black drawstring bag and seems like it is well-made and will last.

The Incognito discreet lipstick vibrator is made by grrltoyz. It takes one AAA battery and is made out of plastic. It’s also phthalate-free, so no harmful effects will come from use of this lipstick vibrator. It’s about four inches tall and masquerades as a regular tube of lipstick in a black case. The lid of the “lipstick” does come off and also will go right back onto the lipstick as well. I took this toy into the water and no water managed to get into the battery compartment, so I do feel safe calling this toy waterproof. (The packaging warns to only submerge it if the rubber o-ring is in tact and if it’s closed tightly.) The cute thing about this lipstick vibe is that, to open it, you turn it’s twist-dial to the left and the top half (the silver metallic and up) will pop off allowing you to insert your AAA battery into the bottom half. It’s extremely easy to put the battery in and to change batteries mid-play if they happen to die.

The pouch the toys all came in. Black and satin.

This lipstick vibe has three settings: Open, Off, and On – in that respective order on the vibrator. The bottom half of the lipstick will twist either to the left or right to allow you to access these functions. “Open” allows you to change the battery. “On” will turn the lipstick vibrator onto its single speed-vibration setting. It’s a pretty powerful setting as well. Some of my traditional vibrators “medium” setting match this little lipstick’s one setting. The vibrations are also pinpointed on the lipstick part of the vibrator. I wouldn’t call this discreet vibrator very loud, but I would say that it’s noticable. Underneath blankets, it’d be undetectable, but if you were to be using this in a public place, the humming it produces does make it pretty obvious what’s being used. The lipstick vibrator is not meant to be inserted anally or vaginally; it’s just too small. However, it’s the perfect size for pinpoint clitoral stimulation.

Plastic can be sterilized, so you would be able to share this toy with others if you chose to. To clean this vibrator, just use warm water and some anti-bacterial soap.

I would recommend the Lipstick vibrator mostly for naughty public play. Not in the literal sense, but in the passive sense. Carrying this lipstick around in your purse will instantly make you feel a heightened sense of your sexuality; it’s really quite enjoyable.

The Incognito Brush vibrator is even better. It’s a pink brush about eight inches high with the bristles making up about an inch and a half. It takes one AA battery to run. As a make-up brush, it isn’t very believable, but it makes an amazing toy. The handle itself is made out of a very smooth plastic; it feels nice to touch. I’d be careful about submerging the bristles, but the body of the toy itself should be water resistant. It could easily handle powders if you wanted to try some sensual powder with it.

The battery compartment is just located at the bottom of the brush. You just twisted it off and insert the AA battery. It’s just as easy as any other traditional vibrator. While I feel like there should be three speeds, I can only detect two speeds on this vibrator; a low and a high. There’s a turn-dial at the very bottom of the brush that allows you to change the speed settings. The low setting takes up a majority of the twist dial – at the very end of your turning, you’ll reach the high setting. The low setting is pretty standard and the high setting seems almost like a medium from some other powerful toys. However, this discreet vibrator is not all that discreet – it’s not horribly loud (you wouldn’t be able to hear it through a door) but it’s not quiet enough for public use.

A picture how it all looks straight-out of the satin bag in its original packaging.

This brush works best as an external vibrator. I would not insert this toy anally nor vaginally because it’s just not shaped for that, and you may ruin your toy. However, this is an absolutely amazing toy for sensual play. The vibrations mixed with the feel of the bristles will make you (or your partner) shiver. The bristles would work amazingly for foreplay, and you could choose to use the handle for vibrations afterwards.

Last but not least, the Nipple Nibblers coming in three flavors: Sun-ripe strawberry, Wild Razzleberry, and Luscious Watermelon. Each little jar is a half of an ounce. They’re packaged in what would remind you of a lipgloss container, and their size is perfect for a sampler. The Nibblers themselves just came packaged in a little, tiny ziploc-type baggie without any information, so I’m not sure what ingredients are included, but it tastes just fine.

I had my boyfriend try all of these samples out after I tried the first one. While the scents are very true-to-name, I found the Nibbler itself to taste slightly minty. (I hate mint, so I made him the taste-tester.) He says the Sun-ripe Strawberry tastes the sweetest, and we both found all three to be pleasantly, but not overwhelmingly, fragrant. Once it was applied to the area, it would give off that pleasant smell.

You have to apply by reaching a finger into the jar and getting some of the gel out. After you rub it on the area, you wait for it to start tingling. The gel doesn’t leave your hands sticky, and while it leaves them slightly slippery, it’s not bothersome in the slightest. It’s more like hand lotion after you’ve given it twenty minutes to dry.

The gel did make the area tingle, but only after a couple minutes. The tingling itself would last for about five minutes as well. After eating it off, though, he said that his lips were very tingly as well, so keep that in mind when planning your foreplay. The scents are the main reasons that I enjoyed the Nipple Nibblers, however. They make you and your partner smell amazing. My boyfriend says they do taste slightly minty but also have a fruity taste as well. It’s definitely not to sweet to continue consuming, and it doesn’t make your mouth dry.

The lipstick vibrator does look very realistic. If you saw that in someone’s purse, you wouldn’t assume it was a vibrator. The brush, however, does look a little bit suspicious since the battery compartment line is pretty obvious. It probably wouldn’t pass public scrutiny as well. If you are wanting to use lubricant with either of the vibrators, I would recommend water-based lubricant. However, since they are both plastic, I don’t believe silicone based lubricant would harm it.

Out of this entire set, I’d have to say that I enjoyed the brush the most. The lipstick vibrator is adorable and a great addition to my collection, but a little too loud for any public play. The Nipple Nibblers smell really nice, and he said they taste great. However, I can easily see myself using the brush in all sorts of sensual foreplay in the future – maybe becoming my most-used toy for foreplay. I would recommend this kit based on the brush alone, but the lipstick vibrator is a nice addition, and the Nipple Nibbler will be fun for some good foreplay.

If you’re looking to buy the MyPleasure Cosmetic Kit, go ahead and head over to this great sex toy store I trust and buy it there. They even offer $2.95 flat rate shipping. You even save money if you buy these three as a set instead of separately. Nothing could beat that. :)
