Looking for a dildo that helps bring some of your werewolf erotica to life? This Juliet Toys PupJoy review might be exactly what you’re looking for.
A streamlined design, the Pupjoy features a thick head for initial penetration, a slightly thicker shaft, and an extra-thick knot at the bottom. A circular base offers hand-holding potential with a slight concave design that offers light suction cup potential.
This canine dildo is crafted from Liquid Silicone to keep the price as low as possible for you.

The Juliet Toys PupJoy dildo pictured here is the 10.8″, Large, Red coloration. It’s about 10″ in insertable length. The “regular” shaft diameter gets up to a 2″ (though even the tip is a wide 1.9″ in diameter) with a knot diameter of 3.1″. Basically, it’s a thick boy.
The PupJoy is also available in a Small and a Medium, which have narrower and shorter measurements. However, the shaft is still a swelling 1.6″ diameter with a 2.3″ knot diameter on the smallest dildo size. The PupJoy is only a dildo for those who know that they like thicker toys.
So let’s get into my Juliet Toys PupJoy review.

It’s Made from a Glossier Silicone
The Pupjoy dildo is made from glossy silicone. It’s actually glossy enough that you can “see” it in the photos. This silicone is extremely tacky and draggy to the touch. This is not a dildo that you can go lube-free on.
There’s nothing wrong with a glossy silicone, however. It just changes how those dildo’s sensations may feel on your skin.
The Juliet Toys PupJoy dildo feels a lot more draggy on the skin. Even when covered in way more lube than we’d usually use, the dildo slides in and out with more resistance than our non-glossy dildos.
Depending on how you like to use your dildo, this isn’t a bad thing. It’s pretty much impossible to forget that something is sliding in and out of you, and even without any sort of texture, you really feel the friction of the PupJoy on every thrust. If you go a little lighter on the lube, it really “pulls” at the skin with every thrust, really feeling like you’re being pushed into – and pulled out of – in a way that slick-moving toys really don’t allow.
I’ll admit, though: it definitely isn’t my favorite.

My submissive, however, enjoys it a lot more, but it’s a “limited time” experience. Even with lots of lube, we’ve found that the Pupjoy’s glossy liquid silicone “pulls” a lot more on the skin. Because of it, he starts feeling sore and overused a lot faster, and we usually have to tap out of anal play a lot sooner than with some of our other dildos.
This is especially the case with faster, jackhammer-style thrusting. While that’s a limited time experience with any dildo, it’s even more limited with the PupJoy. He really prefers longer, slower strokes with lots of regular reapplications of lube with this toy.
I’d say that our PupJoy ends up being more of a “leisurely masturbation experience” type of dildo. This is not the dildo we’d pull out for jackhammering or fast, rough sex.
Because of that glossy silicone design, it’s also pretty important to keep your PupJoy covered in some sort of non-lint storage. It’s too wide to be stored in a sealed food storage zip-up gallon bag, but wrapping just the shaft in the gallon bag helps tremendously. That glossy silicone also picks up hair and lint like nobody’s business, and if you want to keep it ready for play at a moment’s notice, keeping the “usable end” covered really helps.
It’s worth noting that glossy silicone isn’t the only silicone type that Juliet Toys creates; it’s just glossy for THIS toy. Our Echo and Starfish were not glossy at all.

Juliet Toys Pupjoy Review: How Does It Feel?
Unlike most fantasy dildos, the Pupjoy is lighter on texture. This is great! Lots of texture mixed with that glossy silicone material would have made it even harder on the lube.
The Juliet Toys Pupjoy is not a thin or short toy by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, it’s pretty large. Because of the size, I can’t say we really notice the mostly-texture-free design of the dildo. We’re usually so focused on trying to comfortably slide the dildo in to care. Once it’s in, he’s going so nuts for the wide size that, again, we don’t notice any texture.
We’re particularly fond of the diameter changes within the shaft. You have that extra-thick head that gently tapers into a smaller diameter. That smaller diameter then swells into another bump of thickness before it, again, tapers into a smaller diameter. Finally, if you choose to go that far, you have the knot at the base of the dildo, adding a whopping inch to the diameter whether you have the Small, Medium, or Large version.

This constant diameter change feels fantastic for him. Once the dildo is inside, the diameter is constantly changing with every thrust, gently pulling him open and letting him close up slightly with every push. These constantly changing diameters are amazing for him, and he’s made a few mentions about wishing we could find other dildos that offered similar texture-free constant diameter changes.
The dildo features a swelled head. While there’s the lightest of tapers on this head, it’s still one of the thickest points of the not-knot part of the shaft. This means we have to warm up with a different toy (or ensure we’re very, very patient at initial insertion). You’ll want to select a Pupjoy size where the tip of the dildo is comfortably within your usual penetration thicknesses if you don’t want to pull out an additional warm-up dildo.
We pretty exclusively handhold the Pupjoy because of this extra-thick tip. Trying to slide this in while it’s strapped onto my body is frustrating. Holding that initial “just trying to get the tip in” position is usually most difficult in any pegging position we choose. This makes the Pupjoy a hand-holding toy for us. It’s less aggravating to wait at the very tip for 10-ish minutes for gentle, patient penetration when it’s just my hand that needs to stay in place.

What About a Sex Machine?
While the PupJoy has a suction cup built into the base, it hasn’t been our favorite for sex machine use. We’ve given it a few tries for our Juliet Toys PupJoy review, but that glossy material keeps standing in our way. We have to stop the machine to relube much more frequently than other dildos.
If we really are dedicated, we put a condom on it and then use a cock ring (on top of the condom) to get the condom to stay in place. This takes the dildo’s glossy silicone material out of the equation and makes it slide around a bit better.
The PupJoy isn’t a small dildo though. At almost 2 pounds, you’re going to want to ensure that any sex machine you’re using has the ability to lug – and push around – a heavy dildo. Our heaviest-duty sex machine can handle this dildo, but it isn’t a walk in the park for it.
The base of the PupJoy is equipped with a suction cup, so it should be able to fit onto any sex machine that offers a suction cup attachment functionality. The suction cup base is wide, though, and you’ll need at least a 4.5″ diameter circle (uninterrupted) in order to fit this dildo onto a sex machine. This may be wider than most sex machines’ suction cup attachments.

Juliet Toys PupJoy Review: Final Thoughts
Juliet Toys PupJoy Review
Summary
If you’re okay using lots of lube, the Juliet Toys Pupjoy dildo offers a whole lot of benefits. The undulating shaft provides constantly-new stimulation while the knot at the base is a serious stretch for people who are serious about their extra-large dildo play. The dog dildo design offers a nod to realism while maintaining a streamlined design with 3 different sizes to ensure you can find the right fit for your needs.
This tends to be a hand-holding toy for us because of the glossy, tacky silicone material, and the circular base makes that simple. It fits comfortably into the hand for hand-held play with a bit of light texturing that makes it easy to grip even with all the lube involved.
The PupJoy offers a blend of realism and fantasy in a streamlined design that offers easier cleaning while still maintaining the visual you’re after.
