Thinking about getting a pocket pussy? Or are you standing in front of your sink, trying to figure out what to do next? Is your stroker still attached to the sex machine and you’re riding high from a really really good cum? Let’s make sure you know how to clean a pocket pussy, so you can use it again.

Step 1: Remove the Stroker from Its Case
If your pocket pussy comes in a plastic case, remove the soft, squishy part of the stroker from the case. Especially if your sex toy is motorized in some manner, most of the electronic parts will remain with the plastic case.
Leave the plastic case behind as you follow the rest of these instructions to clean the soft, squishy material of your pocket pussy sex toy.

How to Clean a Pocket Pussy: Use Your Sink’s Water Pressure
One of the biggest benefits of pocket pussies is the fact that they’re waterproof. You don’t have to worry about ruining them by getting them wet.
Use that to your advantage. Continuously running water provides pressure and movement that can help dislodge lube and bodily fluids from your stroker.
Using both hands, hold the opening of your pocket pussy open underneath the sink’s spigot. Allow uncomfortably hot (but not burning level!) water to pour into your stroker. Do this before adding any soap or other cleansers. This initial pre-rinse can do a bulk of the cleaning for you.
If your pocket pussy is open-ended on the back side, the water will pour through the stroker like a funnel. If your penis-focused sex toy is closed on the other side, though, expect the water to bubble back out from the opening.

If you don’t have access to a sink right now, you can temporarily use a bottle of water to run water through the pocket pussy, allowing the water to drain into a bowl. This can work as a temporary, stopgap solution until you’re able to get to a sink to fully wash your stroker. The pressure of continuous running water can really dislodge a lot of the gunk, so get to the sink for that full cleaning as soon as you can.

Now Use Your Fingers
Now that your pocket pussy is all wet and you’ve used the sink’s water for the initial rinse, slide your fingers inside and apply pressure and movement to all of the sides of the internal texture.
We’re trying to use the pressure of your fingers to dislodge any ejaculate or dried lube that may have caked on the intricate crevices of the texture inside of your sex toy before we pour the soap in.
Feel free to do this while still holding the masturbator under the water.

How to Clean a Pocket Pussy: Use Soap AND Read the Instructions
Some manufacturers have created a pocket pussy material so delicate that household hand soaps can ruin it. If your pocket pussy was expensive (more than $50), it may be in that category. Fleshlights are particularly famous for this.
In that case, read the manufacturer’s instructions for adding soap here. If you use any soap on the toy’s material when it can’t handle it, you can ruin the super-soft, plushy, life-like feel of the material, and that’s probably why you bought the sex toy in the first place.
If your pocket pussy was cheap and/or you’ve checked the instructions with no prohibitions against it, you’re probably free to use soap on the stroker.
Using a mild soap that’s alcohol-free, scent-free, and lotion-free, drizzle the soap onto the orifice of your pocket pussy, aiming to get the soap inside of the tunnel. If you purchased a sex toy cleaner, that can also work, but sex toy cleaners may not be necessary (to save you money down the line!).

Squish the Soap In
Once the soap is inside the tunnel, gently “lather” your pocket pussy like you would a washcloth.
Gently push the sides of the stroker against one another, trying to work the soap all along the inside of the tunnel.
From there, use those fingers to make sure the soap is really in there. Slide your fingers back inside, lathering and shoving that soap all along the internal textured tunnel of the penis stroker.

How to Clean a Pocket Pussy: Rinse the Soap Out
Once your stroker is all soaped up, you need to rinse the soap out.
Hold your pocket pussy sex toy back under the water spout, allowing it to rinse itself with water.
Again, slide some fingers in there, dislodging any excess soap, bodily fluids, or lubricant that may remain.
Allow the water to run through the toy until you no longer see any bubbles or soap escaping from the toy.
Letting soap dry inside of your toy can harm the material, adding hard or poke-y spots when you try to use it next time. Make sure to rinse out all of the soap when you’re done.

Most Importantly: Allow Your Pocket Pussy to Dry
You did all of the hard work of cleaning a pocket pussy. Don’t allow that hard work to go to waste by skimping on the drying.
A moist, dark, wet environment is the perfect breeding ground for mold. You don’t want mold inside your penis sex toy. Worse yet, it’d be pretty difficult to see if you had mold before you went to use it, so you might slide your shaft against mold next time you go to use it. That’s a mental image I didn’t need.
That’s why it’s vital to allow the pocket pussy to fully dry before placing it into storage. Most people’s place of “storage” tends to have minimal airflow. Airflow is what helps dry the stroker, so placing it prematurely into storage can be the catalyst for mold.
Instead, allow your pocket pussy to sit out on a sink or table where air will move through it. Shake it occasionally, seeing if water droplets still drop out of the toy. If droplets are still shaking out of the toy, it’s still moist, and it still needs more drying time.
We have some pocket pussies that take a (literal) 4 days to dry on the sink. (Our sex dolls can be even worse.) It’s a long time.
If you can’t allow a sex toy to sit out that long, there are a few ways to speed things up:
- Place the stroker in front of a fan. This will blow air directly into it.
- Shake the stroker after you’re done cleaning and often while it dries. The less pent-up droplets inside of the stroker, the faster it will dry. In practice, this might look like shaking the stroker after every time you pee. It’s an easy habit to build.
- Find a way to prop open the pocket pussy’s orifice, allowing air to better flow inside the stroker. This can be hard (or impossible) to do without harming the stroker, so I recommend caution here.
- Buy a few penis stroker drying sticks. If you can set a timer to pull out the sticks, this is your most time-efficient option. These drying sticks are basically long, insertable silica “don’t eat” moisture-removing packets. Slide it into your stroker, and then take it out 30 minutes to an hour later. However, if you forget to take it out, it can wick ALL the moisture and destroy your stroker. Make sure to set a timer.
Why Is It Important to Clean a Pocket Pussy?
I’ve saved this for last because, in the age of the internet, I, too, have gotten tired of scrolling through “bonus” information before I actually can make it to the information I wanted.
But I really think this is important for you to know. I might be preaching to the choir here, though, as you’re already the type of person who looked up how to clean a pocket pussy in the first place.
Essentially, after using a penis stroker or pocket pussy, you leave lube and bodily fluids inside of it. This isn’t a big deal as long as you clean it. When you clean it, you flush out all of those contaminants, keeping your stroker in tip-top shape.
If you don’t flush out those contaminants, though, not only will your pocket pussy reek to high heaven, but it will also become an easy breeding ground for bacteria. Plus, I gotta be the honest: the idea of shoving your shaft into a stroker that was used – but unclean – from a few weeks ago sounds PRETTY gross.
Keeping your pocket pussy dry is equally important. Once you get it squeaky clean, you need to make sure the pocket pussy is fully dry before you put it into storage. You know that moist, wet environments grow mold. A tight, squishy internal chamber that receives minimal airflow is ripe for that problem. Allow the pocket pussy to sit out for a few days (and get as much airflow in it as possible) before putting it away. (More options to speed things up are above)
If you know that you’re going to suck at clean-up or drying, reusable pocket pussies just may not be the best fit for you. While they’ll cost more on a per-use basis, Tenga and Lovense both make disposable penis strokers.
You simply use it (most even include the lube!), have a great time, and toss it when you’re done. If you want to squeak out a little more money from it, you can usually wash/reuse it once. This can prevent any build-up of poor pocket pussy maintenance. The stroker simply isn’t around long enough to actually build up a problem!
(I also recommend disposable strokers as a solution for someone who wants to travel with toys. They come with everything you need, and they make a bit of extra space in your luggage – after they’re gone! – for the trip back.)
