Toy Joy Bitchy Butterflies Nipple Clamps Review

Toy Joy Bitchy Butterflies Nipple Clamps
Front of the packaging

The Toy Joy Bitchy Butterflies are pink nipple clamps sold by Twisted Miss. As you can imagine, there are two nipple clamps included in the package. Both are of the “alligator” type which means that there is a screw that you can loosen or tighten to allow for more tight or more loose nipple clamping. The toys seem to be made of a plastic/light metal that’s been painted with pink. The little chains are pretty flimsy as well, and the little butterflies feel like a child’s charm that’s made from plastic. The chains are about an inch long off of the actual clamp itself which is about 3/4 of an inch. The inside of the clamping surface is padded by some pieces of rubber, so the metal will not be cutting into your skin.

The packaging is pretty amusing. For once, a product only uses exactly as much packaging as it needs. It’s just sitting on a small cardboard piece, and the plastic holds the nipple clamps onto the cardboard. There really isn’t anything amazing about the packaging, but I will say that once you open this, there’s really no way to use the packaging for storage, so if storage is a concern for you, you will have to find another way to keep this clamps out of harm’s reach.

The nipple clamps lying out

These are honestly really gentle nipple clamps. I was expecting these clamps to be a lot more tough, but they really aren’t. I’m not sure if it’s the pad of the nipple clamp or the lack of a strong grip, but these clamps are very beginner friendly. In fact, I’d actually call these more of a “decorative” clamp than a clamp that’s made to cut off circulation. This is the type of clamp that you could happily wear around a BDSM club for a half an hour without feeling any sort of pain from lack of circulation. The clamps are extremely easy to put on, and sadly, they are pretty easy to remove as well. The rubber doesn’ seem to provide any sort of a gripping surface, so if someone/something pulls on it (likely since you have hanging chains), the nipple clamp will just slide off of your nipple.

Something that bothered me was that the clamp didn’t open up widely enough. Even with the entire nipple clamp unscrewed, the clamp itself didn’t actually go around the full nipple. It couldn’t actually take the full nipple in since the clamp wouldn’t open up far enough. I thought that was actually a little silly. Mixed with the fact that these nipple clamps are so tame, I honestly have no idea why these have the adjustable screws in the first place – they don’t apparently seem to do much for the toy.

Showing how far they open up

After thirty minutes of completely painless use (clamped onto half of the nipple), we took these off and…nothing? No pain from the blood rushing back or anything. Honestly, it’s almost like we didn’t have the clamp on at all. It really does seem to act more as decorative clamping than an actual nipple clamp. However, this may be a good selling point for you. If you are new to nipple clamps but don’t actual desire the pain they can cause, this is perfect. You get the experience of wearing a clamp, your partner gets the experience of seeing it, and there’s not actually any sort of pain involved. While that’s not usually what nipple clamps are for, if that’s something that sounds arousing to you, go for it! There’s nothing stopping you from it.

I was a little bit concerned with the quality of these nipple clamps. It isn’t anything horrible, but they do feel pretty cheap to me. If I had to guess, I wouldn’t imagine these would tend to stay “in great shape” for long, but they will most likely hold up for a long time. If anything, I’d say that the pink paint that is decorating the toy will end up chipping off or that one of the chains that holds the butterfly will break in two. The ring that holds the actual butterfly clains onto the nipple clamp may also slip off of the clamp, but it’s not difficult to slide that one right back into place.

For cleaning, placing these in a nice warm bath of water should do nicely. These honestly should never get anywhere near bodily fluids or blood, so there’s really not much use for more cleaning than that. For storage, we’re probably going to keep them in a Tunti, but as long as you keep yours out of reach of nosy children or playful animals, they should stay nice.

So what do I think? I think that, if you want a nice, soft sensation of nipple clamps that don’t have the usual pain involved, these are great. These are perfect for long term use, and they are cute and feminine to boot! If you are seeking the nipple clamp experience, but aren’t a fan of pain, check into these.
