If you happened to be in the Rosemont Chicago area this month, you might have been met by the sight of scantily dressed men and women heading off to one of the largest convention centers in the city: Donald Stephens Convention Center. Like all of the previous years, Exxxotica has put on an amazing and comprehensive sex convention, this year as no different.
Stepping into the exhibition hall is always astounding. Once you make it through the registration line (which is usually a bit busier on Ladies Free Friday!), you step into a utopia of rows of sex-focused businesses and stars. Interesting in bondage? The Kinky Kollege Bondage Area offers the ability to give it all a try. Sex education? Exxxotica offers three full days of sex education for singles, couples, and adult stars. Want to watch cam girls and cam boys perform live? That happens too. Interested in swinging? Check out the multitude of conferences and information available here. And that’s not even including all of the sexy stage performances! While all of the information can seem overwhelming at first, three hours later and you’ll have a lay of the land – and feel like you’ve found your sexual happy place.
While all of the rest of Exxxotica is amazing, the chance to meet your favorite porn stars is always what brings in the majority of the con-goers. Not only can you chat and meet with your favorite porn actresses and actors – face to face – but for a fee (chosen by every individual porn star), you can get selfies with them, touch them, buy their signed merchandise, and more! Sexy stars this year included Kimberly Chi, Priya Rai, Monroe Sweets, Katana Kombat, Tana Lea, Eddie Wood, Sofia Rose, Demii D Best, and more! The line for Abella Danger was constantly long! She was definitely a crowd favorite this year.
Exxxotica wouldn’t be such a fantastic sex expo without the chance to spend your money on sexual fun. Want a lapdance from a girl or guy? You can find tons of stars ready to treat you. Looking to find a new sex toy? The convention hosts multiple sex toy stores – including a booth with The Pleasure Chest (Chicago’s resident sex-positive store!) And while one of the largest sponsors of the convention, Bad Dragon, doesn’t vend at the event, they do bring along a small arsenal of toys to give you inspiration for placing your own order online!
Sex education and sexy stage presentations were name of the game this year. Exxxotica expanded its sex education seminar schedule to include sexy classes all weekend long! While previous years’ education tracks were a bit shorter and tended to focus on industry-specific issues and education, this year’s educational track was a lot more sexuality-focused for the average attendee. With amazing classes like “Basics of Facesitting for Couples”, “Sex Positive Parenting”, “An Intro to Adult Work for Everyone”, “A Beginner’s Guide to Swinging”, “A G-Spot/P-Spot Intensive”, “Erotic Photography for Couples and Singles”, “Butt Sex Basics”, and more, it was pretty easy to justify a three-day-long pass – just to learn!
Along with the sex education, the on-stage erotic presentations reached a new level this year as well. While the crowd favorites – such as Rubberdoll, Stallion Male Revue, and Alexas Texas Twerk Contest – were all still there, this year brought in a whole line of new talent and amazing things to watch. Ashley Addison, an aerialist performer, wow’ed the crowd with an aerial hoop performance. King Noire brought hip-hop to the stage with an erotic, kinky performance set to some amazing hip-hop music. And it’s pretty hard to forget Hudsy Hawn’s cosplay performance which brought Jessica Rabbit to life in the most sexual way possible!
If Exxxotica is sounding amazing to you (as it should!), don’t feel like you missed out entirely! While this year’s Chicago location sex expo is over, there’s still an entire year left of other Exxxotica expos in other locations! Exxxotica will be happening in Portland, OR on the weekend of June 7th, Miami, FL on the weekend of September 6th, and Edison, NJ on the weekend of October 25th. Or, if Chicago is your place, start getting ready to attend in 2020!
