Available in size Small through 3XL, this skirt is made from velvet, lace, and other materials. According to the tag, it’s 85% nylon and 15% spandex. The skirt also includes four detachable garters to help hold up your hosiery as well. The waistband of the skirt is elastic, so it will stretch if you’re concerned about sizing.
We received the Small size. According to the size chart, this should fit someone with a waist of 29-31″ inches. As the waist of this skirt does have some pretty stretchy elastic, though, I’d say that you should probably go for your regular size or go down a size if you’re between sizes. This way, the skirt will be snug, but at least it will stay in place. My partner wears a size 5 in women’s jeans, and the small is slightly loose, but it fits and stays on just fine. An extra-small probably would have worked better, but this one works just fine. Unless you have a larger-than-average butt or hips, though, you should be fine with just paying attention to the waist measurement for choosing out your skirt.
The skirt is extremely comfortable. The velvet portion means that you don’t have an uncomfortable “waistband” pushing into your body – even if the skirt is a bit too tight, there’s still nothing pressing uncomfortably. All of the material that the Velvet Tartan Garter Skirt is made of is extremely comfortable and soft against the skin. Even the lace on the bottom of the skirt doesn’t really scratch the skin. It doesn’t feel cheap at all (like sometimes even WOMEN’S lingerie feels), and it looks very sexy.
Something to keep in mind is that this skirt is pretty short. Depending on how high you wear it on your body, you might be able to see the bottom of your butt if you bend over. Depending on if you’re wearing underwear or not, you should also keep the front in mind as well. If you want to keep more things to the imagination, I recommend making sure to wear tights that go all the way up underneath the skirt because things can definitely show pretty easily with this adorable crossdresser skirt.
This skirt will go well with a lot of different outfit ideas. In particular, XDress sells a matching Velvet Tartan Bra that goes directly with it and has the same matching pattern. However, if you aren’t interested in that bra, a lot of different items can go with this skirt. For one, any type of thigh-high hosiery will go well with the garter straps that this pink skirt has. As for a top, you can pair it with any standard black bra. You also pair it with a plain white top for a school-girl-like look if you want. Just a standard white blouse partnered with this skirt, thigh-high hosiery, and heels will make a very sexy and standard schoolgirl look.
According to the care instructions, this can be machine washed in cool water in the gentle cycle. It should not be bleached, and it should be tumble dried on low. You should NOT dry clean this one. With those instructions in mind, it makes it really simple to care for this skirt – especially if you’re going to be someone who needs to wash bodily fluids off of this semi-regularly.
Overall, the Velvet Tartan Garter Skirt is, honestly, a skirt that I’d say would even impress most female lingerie wearers. The quality is extremely impressive, the skirt is very comfortable, and it has some stretch which will make it more comfortable for different body types.
