OhMiBod Music-Driven Club Vibe Review

Packaging for the Club Vibe

UPDATE: May 2021: This original Club Vibe is no longer in production. However, OhMiBod has the Club Vibe 3.OH – the third iteration in the series.

I am possibly the biggest lover of high-tech vibrators that has ever lived, so being able to own the Clue Vibe really is a treat for me. The OhMiBod Freestyle is a beautiful piece of technology, and the Club Vibe is just as beautiful – just in its own way. When Tabutoys asked me to write a review of my experiences for them, I was glad to oblige.

The Club Vibe is a controller and bullet vibe set that picks up on the music/noise that is happening in the environment. The set comes with the bullet vibe itself, the controller, a cord, a storage bag, and a pair of panties to wear it with. The bullet itself just takes two AAA batteries that go into the controller. (Included) The remote is about three inches tall and about two inches wide. It fits really nicely and comfortable into my hand. Both the controller and the bullet are made out of a nice plastic coating as well. The bullet is a small, regular sized bullet at just over an inch tall and barely more than a half-inch wide. The cord that connects the bullet to the controller is a little over two feet long

The bullet feels nice to the touch, but it does have a seam that runs right along the middle of the bullet. Since the bullet doesn’t use any batteries, I’m not sure why there is a seam there, but there is. It’s slightly noticable during use, but it’s not bothersome. Something nice about the kit is that all of the pieces come apart. The bullet can be plugged into the controller or taken off. The storage bag and panties are the same way as well as the cord to use for the music function. The back of the controller features a belt slot, so you can slide the controller onto your belt to wear out in public or just at home.

The bullet was only meant to be used externally. While the cord does look pretty stable and strong, I wouldn’t recommend using this internally unless you throw it in a condom first just for safety’s sake. You wouldn’t want the bullet to break and be hard to retrieve.

The packaging is gorgeous – just like all of the other OhMiBod products. The black “Club Vibe” box gives off sophistication and sexiness without screaming that it’s a sex toy. The cord, panties, controller, storage bag, and bullet all come neatly packaged into their respective spots in a little tray that you just pull out of the box. It also comes with the full-color instruction manual that includes different languages. It includes how to use, care and cleaning, warranty information, how to make your toy last, and safety information. OhMiBod does offer a one-year warranty against any defects that happen to come to your Club Vibe. With my experience of OhMiBod products, you won’t be needing to use that warranty.

All of the pieces laid out for size comparison

The Club Vibe has a couple different settings to it. You can use ambient, manual, and music mode. Ambient mode vibrates to the speed of the environment, manual lets you choose from seven different pre-set vibrations, and music mode allows you to plog the vibrator into an MP3 player, and the bullet will vibrate in time with the music. The side switch on the side of the controller allows you to switch between the modes very easily.

Ambient mode is really what the Club Vibe is most known for. The Club Vibe remote picks up any sort of sound from the environment. It picks up voices, music, and any speaker system. The dial on the bottom of the remote allows you to turn up the sound sensitivity. While being in the nightclub did allow it to vibrate on a regular basis, being at home with the music turned up really didn’t activate the vibrations – even when turned up all of the way. Talking *into* the remote does make it activate, but otherwise, regular speech in the room doesn’t activate it. Jor came up with a really hot idea: Wouldn’t it be nice to let your partner wear the bullet, but tell them a naughty story into the controller so the bullet will vibrator along with it? I think it sounds fun.

The controller with the setting adjustment and front buttons. The sensitivity adjustment is on the bottom.

Personally, the boyfriend and I attend a lot of play parties. Play parties notoriously have lots of loud, rock music, and the Club Vibe picks up on all of the different rock music. It works great for public outings because the vibrations are covered up by the music of the club.

Manual Mode cycles through the seven pre-set vibration settings. The circle button turns on the vibrations and cycles through the different settings while the X button will instantly turn off the vibrations. The first setting is a low vibration, second is a medium steady vibration, third is a high steady vibration, fourth is steady pulsations, the fifth is a slow escalating pulse (four steps), the sixth is a slow escalation then two pulses then more escalation then two pulses then it restarts, and the last one escalates from low to high then gives three fast pulses then de-escalates back down to the low before restarting. The vibrations are pretty quiet except on the highest setting. On the highest setting, this could be heard through a closed door, but for the lower-level vibrations, it would be difficult to hear them through a closed door.

Music mode allows you to use the included cord and attach the controller to your iPod or MP3 player to have the bullet vibrate to the bass of the music. It vibrates amazingly well to the music, and you can use that music sensitivity adjustment to help make the music go perfectly with the beat. I found that I really enjoy using rock music with it, but all types of music, including classical, still work really great with it. From the controller, you can also connect a pair of headphones to listen to your music while it vibrates as well which is always a plus.

The panties that are included with the set.

The panties that come with it are the regular “one size fits most”. The panties are regular cotton black panties. The band that holds them around your waist is a lace while the panty itself is just plain, black, soft cotton. It’s very nice and breathable. They appear to fit anywhere from a size 3-8/10. They might fit a twelve, but it would be tight. The panties are actually pretty well made compared to most panties added to vibrating bullet sets. You’re supposed to slide the bullet into the panty lining that most female panties already have. They just left one side of the lining open to slide the bullet in. However, that’s usually too far down for most females to enjoy it thoroughly, so I recommend that, if it doesn’t suit you, you go ahead and sewn another pouch into this pair of panties or another pair of your favorite panties. If you don’t think the panties will fit you, don’t worry about it. Just use your own pair of panties that doesn’t have a lining sewn on both sides, or use sewing skills and sew a small bullet to slip the bullet into.

The toy pouch is pretty tiny. It does fit everything inside of it, but it gets pretty full with just the pair of panties. It’s a drawstring bag and has the “OhMiBod” logo on the front. It’s made from black velvet and feels amazingly luxurious. It’s about three inches wide and five inches long.

Overall, I was pretty impressed with this panty vibrator. While I won’t be using the ambiance feature very often, it will functions very well as a regular bullet vibrator. I recommend this for the beginner or advanced user alike, and I especially recommend this bullet vibrator for anyone who has an appreciation for advanced technology. This adult sex toy store carries this beautiful bullet vibrator, so head over to this sex shop to buy the OhMiBod Music-Drive Club Vibe
