The “Erotic Adventure” board game is a board game that is similar to the childhood game of Candy Land. It can be purchased at FunWares. It comes with a board, four plastic playing pieces, and small cards. The game can be played with four or more players, and the game is designed to be sexual and to work as foreplay.
The box for the board game is pretty sturdy. This is partly because of the plastic tray inside of the cardboard box, so if you want your box to stay sturdy, you should leave the tray inside it. The box is strong enough to have other board game boxes stacked on top of it, though, so if you tend to like putting other board games on top of your games, this one can support their weight despite its small size.
This erotic board game was designed for up to four players. It includes four little player tokens. However, you can easily modify the rules and use other tokens if you want to use more than four players. As the spaces themselves only include foreplay actions, this is pretty easy to do in couples and swinging groups. The only thing that includes penetration is the optional reward for the winner, so if you have a group you want to do foreplay with without the penetration, the Erotic Adventure board game can work just fine for those groups. The rules are also very flexible about who the player has to perform the action on, so you can do this with your own personal partner or set up another system for the recipients to get the group mingling; it’s very flexible like that!
The rules for this adult game are pretty simple. You basically take turns with the other players selecting cards and moving forward on the game board to the nearest one that matches that color. Like the childhood game, if you land on one of the trails (in this case, Happy Trail or Lover’s Leap), you get to take a shortcut across the path.
Once you hit your new space, though, that’s where things get interesting. Using the key card, you do an action to the body part shown on the space. For example, all red squares mean “Kiss”. However, some of the pictured body parts on the red squares are the knee, the lips, the cheek, the neck, the hand, the breasts, the inner thighs, the ears, and more! So if you landed on any red square, you would need to “Kiss”, but depending on what red square it was, you may be kissing a different place each time.
The winner, when they win, either gets to act out their choice of foreplay action (from the board) or each color card actually has a silloette of a couple’s sex position, so the winner gets to choose three of the cards they drew and act out the sex positions. Of course, I’m sure you could come up with other rewards for the winner if you wanted to!
The board quality and card quality are okay. They aren’t the highest quality items out there, but they aren’t bad. The cards are nicely laminated, and they should hold up to many uses (and you probably will stop playing the game long before the cards start giving in). The board itself is pretty small. It’s about a square foot, so it’s a pretty small board that will fit into small areas like on a bed or on a coffee table. If you have small spaces to work with, this could be very helpful.
The game itself is okay. It’s not something that has a very high replaying value, but it’s still an okay board game. The game itself can be fun, and it’s not quite as cheesy as some of the other board games – just because this game seems to go by much more quickly. If you had to roll a die or move one space at a time, it would probably be repetitive, but as the squares move relatively quickly and at a faster pace, the game stays pretty enjoyable for awhile.
I can’t say that it’s the most original game out there in terms of foreplay actions, but it works. The actions are things that most people are comfortable with, and the body parts listed on the game board are known erogenous zones for most people. The game was quite obviously designed with heterosexual partners in mind, but it’s very easy to apply to same-sex couples without much of a fuss at all since all of the body part spaces are parts that both sexes would own. I would say that most couples would be able to play this a couple times, and while it’s not the most original, it does provide a nice way to mix up foreplay a couple times – it’s just not something you’ll want to play on a regular basis.
A complaint I do have is that: why aren’t there different keys?? Making a different color key and including it with the cards would have vastly improved the replayability of this game. Instead, Instead you just get the one Key. The items on the Key include Kiss, Lick, Fondle, Suck, Blow On, and others. If they would have included things like “Stroke” or “Tickle” or “Grind against” or others in a new key (or even just mixed up the order of this key), it would have made it very easy to just switch out the keys and have a pretty new experience. I’m sad to see that the creators of the game chose not to do that.
Overall, the Erotic Adventure board game is a pretty basic board game, but it does a good job of providing an adult version of a childhood favorite that most players will be familiar with and able to play within minutes of opening the game. The game doesn’t have a huge replayability quotient to it, but it will work just fine for a couple plays, and it’s a neat and different way to approach foreplay. I think it definitely shines best as a swingers/group sex game, but it can work for smaller, two-person couples as well.
