Dorcel Toys Genius Secret Vibrator Review

Dorcel Toys Genius Secret Vibrator
The entire set of the Dorcel Toys Genius Secret Vibrator

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2020: The Dorcel Toys Genius Secret Vibrator is no longer in production. This review remains as a reference for anyone who’d like more information about this toy. Maybe you’d prefer to check out other remote controlled toys instead?

The Dorcel Toys: Genius Secret Vibrator is a wireless anal vibrator made by Dorcel Toys and sold by TabuToys sex toys. It features a plastic bullet (shaped more like an egg), a wireless remote, and a silicone sleeve for the bullet to vibrate inside for anal use. The vibrator uses two AAA batteries while the wireless remote requires one 23A battery (which is included). The remote features an screen that will show the numbers and vibrations on it versus just a pure light screen. The Dorcel Toys Genius Secret Vibe is the same set as the Secret Vibe set – just with the added anal silicone sleeve.

The packaging for this vibrator is pretty simple, but it keeps everything packaged together nicely until you receive your vibrator. The box is quite a bit larger than the vibrator set itself, though, so you may want to get rid of the box after you’ve taken the vibrator and accessories out of the box. The packaging does look attractive, though, and it clearly shows the different features of the vibrator.

The design of this vibrator set is pretty simple. It’s just a basic egg-style bullet vibrator with the transmitter cord attached to the base end of it. There is a silicone sleeve that the bullet can be slid into to allow the bullet to become an anal vibrator as well. The bullet itself is very simple and slick, and the base of the bullet can be unscrewed to insert the batteries. The base of the remote slips off like a television remote in order to insert the batteries into it.

Getting the vibrator into the anal sleeve does require some work, but there is no way that this bullet vibrator should be used without the sleeve. You do have to stretch the material around the bullet, and the material has very little stretch to it. While you do that, you also have to make sure to get the bullet’s cord in a not-bothersome place inside the sleeve as well. It’s much easier to get the bullet out of the sleeve, and as the sleeve itself is completely closed up aside from the area to slide in the bullet, you will need to remove your bullet vibrator whenever you need to change the batteries.

As for the anal sleeve, I do have some concerns about it. Mostly, the flared base of the anal sleeve is relatively flexible. For anyone who plays with anal toys regularly or uses large anal toys, you know that a flexible base means it can fold in half and get “sucked in”. If you don’t use too large of toys very regularly, I don’t think it will be a problem, but I will admit that I was concerned about it while we’ve played with it. I’ve been keeping a close eye on it while we play with it, and my concerns mean we haven’t had a chance to take this in public like I wanted. If the base of the butt plug sleeve would have been made of firmer material, I feel like it would have certainly made me less wary of it!

Controlling this wireless anal vibrator is very simple. I actually am in love with the control structure. There is a remote that has three buttons. There’s an on/off button as well as a + and – button. The + and – button control the 10 speeds when the vibrator is on while the on/off instantly turns it on or off. When the vibrator is on, there’s a nicely-lit screen that shows what number vibration pattern it is (in case your partner has a favorite) as well as a little bar-graph representation of the pattern so you know what pattern is going on. It’s actually extremely useful though the bright screen will show up really well in a dark movie theater or something like that if you’re using it in public.

The range of the vibrator is alright. It works at a short range relatively well, and as far as I can tell, it has worked for us when inserted as well. It doesn’t seem to work through a wall, though, so you’ll want to watch where you want to watch it. The vibrator is pretty responsive to the remote, and from what we can tell, silicone sleeve doesn’t seem to effect how responsive the vibrator is either which is nice.

The vibrations are on the lower moderate side. They are not the strongest vibrations possible, and they are definitely on the buzzy side. They are probably not enough for orgasm with most women. The vibrations are very surface-vibration, and they don’t really get deep or rumbly. The vibrations don’t really increase too much with each each vibration level increase, but the loudness does increase. When used externally, it’s much louder, but when inserted, it’s quieter. When inserted, it’s hard to hear the first vibration setting in the same room over the TV or music. The louder settings are louder, but they’d be hard to hear through a closed door. When it comes to public use, you can probably hear all of the settings in a quiet bathroom, but with regular dinner noise, it’d be harder to hear the lower-intensity vibration settings.

For play, I actually really like the idea and use of this vibrator. After all, when it’s not in the sleeve, the bullet vibrator works fantastically for vaginal or clitoral use, but when it’s placed into the sleeve, it can be used for anal use. So, basically, it becomes a his AND her vibrating toy which is really neat. However, do make sure that you do a fantastically thorough job cleaning this bullet between uses because going back and forth from vagina to anus does require some extra cleaning.

The fact that it CAN do so much is certainly amazing though! We’ve had a ton of fun knowing that one toy can go from vagina to anus to clitoral without much issue. We have had to be careful with the anal sleeve because I do not fully trust the flexible base to hold the plug in, but aside from that, the plug has worked well as well as the vibrator itself, and I can see this working amazingly for taking out in public just because of the possibilities as well as the easy-to-use remote. (We haven’t attempted public use yet as we’d be using it anally, and I don’t trust the sleeve yet.)

To clean this anal bullet sex toy, you’ll want to use warm water and antibacterial soap. The silicone sleeve itself has no vibrating parts, so feel free to soak or boil that. However, the bullet should have special care taken with it – especially as, despite looking all over, I can not find if this bullet is waterproof or not. The instructions nor manufacturer or TabuToys state if this is waterproof, so be careful when washing the bullet to avoid getting any water inside the battery compartment. It’s compatible only with water-based lubricant, and for storage, the materials don’t seem to pick up my hair or lint, but you should still keep the Dorcel Genius Secret Vibrator away from hair and lint places.

Overall, I like the Dorcel Toys Genius Secret Vibrator. I love that it can be used for both guys and girls and that the remote has a nice, clear screen that makes using the wireless function extremely easy and fun to do. However, I’m a bit unsure about the base of the anal vibrator for anal safety and I also wish that the vibrations were stronger and quieter. For what it is, though, the Dorcel Toys Genius Secret Vibrator works well and works well for both partners. Thanks to TabuToys for providing this wireless anal vibrator for my Dorcel Toys Genius Secret Vibrator review. They also sell other luxury adult toys as well.
