Triole Vibrator Review

Triole Vibrator
Everything with the Triole vibrator

UPDATE APRIL 2020: Close2You, and subsequently, the Triole vibrator, are no longer in production. This review, by a sex toy reviewer, remains as a reference to those who want information on this toy.

The Triole g-spot vibrator is a dual-motor, silicone, rechargeable vibrator. It comes in both a blue and a pink, and it is made from both silicone and plastic. It comes with a bunch of Close2You accessories, and it’s about seven inches in total length with a diameter of about an inch and a half (slightly smaller) at the widest point.

The packaging for the Triole vibrator is very fancy-looking. It comes in a little box that includes little pull-out drawers. The toy sits in the top of the two pull-out drawers, and the accessories for the Triole vibrator sit in the second drawer. The Triole sex toy comes with a cock ring, sample-size of lubricant, a storage baggie, the charger, and some toy cleaner – it comes with quite a bit of extra accessories! I recommend keeping the vibrator in the storage baggie just as the packaging itself is pretty large just to purely store the vibrator. If you want, like I have, you can put something on top of the drawers (like DVDs), and use the two drawers as drawers on a computer desk for non-sexual things.

The Triole is designed pretty simply, but it’s certainly not your “average” vibrator design either. The vibrator has a very slight g-spot curve at the tip, and it’s a straight design to the base where it comes into a “t-bone” like shape with a long, horizontal handle. The charging port is located at the base of the toy near the handle, and there are easily-felt-during-use ridges located near the head of the vibrator that you’ll have to take special care to well-lubricate it before use. Each one of the ends (the pink) is made from silicone while the white portion is made from plastic.

The packaging for the Triole

The Triole sex toy is a rechargeable vibrator. I actually received the wrong charger in my packaging (It was for European outlets), so I was happily surprised to see that the Close2You Rondo charger will also charge the Triole. In case you have multiple Close2You sex toys, it looks like you may be able to share chargers between them. For charging the Triole, you just have to plug in the charger and let the charger charge the sex toy.

Another view of the Triole Vibrator

The vibrations are on the moderate side. The vibration motor in the tip is more rumbly while the motor towards the base is more buzzy. Together, they only really get to the point of being moderate. Each one of the motors can not be controlled by itself – the singular button launches into patterns and modes that control the motors for you. The vibrations can be felt really nicely when the sex toy is inserted, but the vibrations will not feel too strong when used externally. The vibrations themselves aren’t too loud, but they can be heard in the same room. They can’t be heard outside of a closed door, though. They are much quieter after the vibrator is inserted.

The Triole is called a g-spot vibrator. I’m not sure it will work as a good g-spot vibrator for everyone. It does have a slight g-spot curve towards the tip of the shaft, but it’s not enough of a curve if you happen to have a deeper g-spot. The curve is very, very gentle, so if you’ve found that slight g-spot curves tend to work for you or that the “average” g-spot curve on a sex toy tends to be okay, you may find that the g-spot curve on the Triole works for you. Personally, it didn’t hit my (deep) g-spot at all, but the ridges near the head of the vibrator do provide some interesting sensations, and the vibrations are centered towards the tip of the vibrator which means that the vibrations do “get” where they’re supposed to be.

The design of the Triole Vibrator

I’ve been using the Triole as an external vibrator since it doesn’t work too well as an internal vibrator for me. This does present some slight problems since the vibrations weren’t, I don’t think, intended for external use. They just don’t seem like they were created to be strong enough for external use. Despite the vibrator having two motors, the vibrations don’t seem like they were intended for strong-enough vibrations for clitoral use. One motor is towards the tip, and the other motor seems to be located at the base of the shaft near the t-bone of the handle. This secondary motor doesn’t do much when using the vibrator clitorally, and the tip only really has one setting that only uses the one motor. For that reason, the Triole really doesn’t work as an external vibrator.

Something I really do love about the Triole is the “handle” of it. The handle in the t-bone shape really makes it easy to grip and manuever the sex toy. Even if your hand is all slippery and lubricated, there’s no reason to need to wipe it off before handling the Triole because the t-bone design means your hand really doesn’t slip on the sex toy at all. It does take a bit of time to really learn how to best grasp your hand around the handle with your normal technique, but once it all smooths out, it works really fantastically. I find that I can’t apply as much pressure without more effort compared to a traditional, slimline vibrator, but the Triole vibrator also doesn’t slip out of my hands, so that’s definitely a plus too.

To clean the Triole, it depends on how well you shut the “plug” for the charging port. Personally, I can never get the charging port to shut fully, so I’m very careful about avoiding getting any water near the charging port. If you get more success getting it to fully close, the Triole vibrator is supposed to be completely waterproof. You can use warm water and antibacterial soap to clean the toy, and if you want to use barrier protection, the shaft of the toy should fit into average-sized condoms. It’s only compatible with water-based lubricants, and while it doesn’t pick up too much hair or lint, I do recommend keeping it in the packaging or a storage bag just to preserve the material and keep all the little things off of it.

Overall, the Triole vibrator is an okay choice if you’re looking for a shallow g-spot vibrator or just an insertable toy with an easy-to-grasp handle. However, it doesn’t work too well as a clitoral toy, and if you have a deeper g-spot, the Triole vibrator may not work well for that either.
