Metal Worx Mr. Smooth Dildo Review

Metal Worx Mr. Smooth Dildo
The Metal Worx Mr. Smooth Dildo

UPDATE: APRIL 2020: Metal Worx Mr. Smooth is no longer in production. This review remains as a reference for those who are seeking info about this dildo.

The Metal Worx Mr. Smooth dildo is a steel (not stainless steel, according to the packaging) dildo that is intended for pleasurable use both vaginally and anally. It is six inches in total length, and at the largest point, it has a diameter of about an inch. As it is steel, it does have a heft to it (over a pound), so keep that in mind if you can’t handle heavier toys.

The packaging for the Metal Worx Mr. Smooth is very impressive. It comes in this metal-like case that looks like it’d be carrying some serious hardware instead of a dildo. This case does include a sticker on the top and bottom of the case, but those stickers are removable to make the case completely discreet. It has a flip-fastener that makes it very easy to open, and the Mr. Smooth dildo sits inside the packaging in the foam liner. This little case does take up more room than the dildo itself does, but it does a good job of protecting the sex toy, so I recommend you just keep it in the packaging.

Some people have had issues with the finish on their Metal Worx toy. I have to say that I don’t seem to have that same issue with mine. There are a couple scratches on the surface of the Mr. Smooth dildo, but it’s nothing that effects the use of the toy. If you are a perfectionist, it may bother you, but it’s nothing that changes the usage. In fact, they’re really so minor that I couldn’t even capture one with my camera to really show you.

I’m still trying to figure out why this is considered an anal toy. The shape of it seems so much more suited to vaginal use, but it can be used anally. The long, shaft-like portion of this steel dildo is slightly larger in diameter than the bulb at the end, so you will want to be careful when using this because it really doesn’t have a “flared base” to make it anal-safe. It is hard steel, though, so it’d be pretty difficult to get it “lost”, but I still recommend keeping a firm hand on the end of the dildo to keep it from “going” anywhere.

As you can imagine, as the Metal Worx Mr. Smooth is made from steel, it is very rigid and has no flexibility to it. With that in mind, do be aware of that when you use it, it won’t have any squishiness to it and it will be very firm and rigid. With that property, it also becomes slick really, really easily. It takes barely any lubricant (or none at all if you’re warmed-up and using it vaginally) to insert this comfortably. With anal use, you can easily use a water-based lubricant or a silicone-based lubricant, and it won’t take either of each to lubricate the dildo really well.

For anal use, which this steel dildo was intended for, it seems to do alright. The small diameter lends itself well to anal insertion, and the smooth material, again, lends itself well to anal use as it stays slick for a good chunk of time. The expanding and contracting of the shaft portion lends itself to anal use as well as it makes it easy to go from a “more filling” sensation to a “less filling” sensation really easily. It basically feels like a less “intense” sensation of anal beads since the expansion and contraction is done much more gradually, so if you found the anal bead sensation too much and still wanted to try that larger and smaller diameter, the Metal Worx Mr. Smooth lends itself well to that.

For vaginal use, which it almost seems like the steel dildo is shaped for, this Metal Worx Mr. Smooth dildo works alright. It really is just a bit too “plain” for that. It just doesn’t really have anything remarkable about it that makes me go “oooh!” and want to choose it over something else. It inserts really smoothly, and it feels really nice when inserted (especially with the weight), but it doesn’t, in particular, feel filling or give you an intense sensation. If it was a bit longer, I’d say it would be good for deep penetration because of the basic design, but the sex toy is a bit too short for deep thrusting. The bulb on the end does make it really easy to grip onto though, so if you tend to enjoy a smaller-diameter toy that can easily be thrust in and out, the Metal Worx Mr. Smooth steel dildo does provide that sensation.

To clean up the Mr. Smooth steel wand, you’ll want to use warm water and anti-bacterial soap. It can be sterilized by boiling it, but if you want an easy way to share it between people, you can easily slip this steel dildo into a condom to protect it. A regular-sized one should work. It’s compatible with all types of lubricant, and I recommend that you keep it in the storage case it comes in if you want to protect it from harm. However, as it’s metal, you can keep it wherever you’d like without much of a problem. Just remember that it can become scratched.

Overall, the Metal Worx Mr. Smooth, while not really “outstanding” in any sensation, is still an okay steel dildo with pleasurable sensations through the expanding of the shaft. It isn’t the most exciting steel dildo out there, but it is a reliable choice if you want a straight-design dildo with a rigid design.
