UPDATE MAY 2020: The Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager Kit is no longer in production. This review remains as a reference for anyone who wants to look up information about the Wahl vibrator.

The Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager Kit is a rechargeable, strong wand massager made by Wahl and sold by this sex toys store. The Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager Kit is made from plastic and PVC; the wand itself is plastic while the attachments are PVC. There are seven different attachments to the Wahl massager, and the Mini Wahl Rechargeable Massager, as it is rechargeable, does not require any batteries for use. It is about half of the body size and 3/4 of the height of the Hitachi or the other Wahl Massager.

The packaging for the Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager Kit shows that Wahl really doesn’t make this vibrator as a sexual object. (I KNOW they just have to know that it’s a sexual object, though, so maybe they are attempting to discreet market to sexual uses with this rechargeable and small aspect? I mean “Full-Size Power in a Compact Form” on the front of the box even sounds like it’s meant to be sexual.) The outside of the box is very discreet as this is marketed as a back massager. Inside, the box has two different cardboard “compartments”, and the different attachments and the Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager kit body are contained in those.

As you can tell (and the name implies), the Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager is rechargeable. It has a little plastic base that is shown in the pictures, but be aware that this vibrator does NOT charge via the base. It actually has a plug-in that plugs into the bottom of the Wahl massager. You then can sit-up the Wahl in the base, if you want to, The base is just a plastic piece that will hold the Wahl upright. The Wahl does plug-in, though, so it can easily charge without the “base” if you don’t want to use the base. The Mini Wahl Rechargeable Massager was also designed to be plugged-in 24/7, and it’s what the instructions recommend you do to continue a full charge. The charging system was designed not to overcharge the battery, so it can stay plugged in all the time which makes the stand-up base a good way of displaying your toy when not in use. Anytime it is plugged in, though, (as far as I can tell as I’ve been charging it for about 16 hours now) it does have a red light on the front of the vibrator. It seems this light will stay on regardless of whether the vibrator is fully charged or not.

Like the other Wahl Massagers, the Mini Wahl Rechargeable Massager was designed to switch heads for different sensations. The heads pop off pretty easily when you pull it from an angle, but it also pushes back on pretty easily if you push it down with some force. It isn’t very difficult to change heads mid sexual-use as long as you pull it off at the right angle. I’ve had no issues with the heads popping off during use.

The Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager kit includes seven different heads. Some of the heads are definitely not conducive to sexual use, but if you want, they work well for non-sexual use. As the Mini Wahl Rechargeable Massager can be used for both uses, that makes it extra useful. I recommend the Muscle Kneading Attachment (the ridged edges), the Knuckle Joint Attachment (the triangular one), or the Deep Muscle Stimulator (the standard one) for sexual use as they tend to have the most conventional shapes.

Other shapes include the General Body Attachment (which is like a backwards cone and doesn’t transmit vibrations too pinpoint-ly), the Scalp Stimulator (which has the little spike-looking things on it), the Facial Vitalizer (which is like a cylinder), and the Spot Applicator (which is the really tiny dot-like one which is a pain to clean after use). The attachments are made from PVC, so they are pretty flexible, but they hold their own during sexual use. They also do not have any sort of PVC-like scent that could be annoying. They are relatively scent-free.

The Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager Kit is STRONG! It only has on/off settings. It doesn’t have multiple speeds to control. That one setting is definitely strong though! I’d say that it rivals my Hitachi on low, and it’s a nice, deep rumbly vibration as well. It’s not quite as rumbly as the We-Vibe Tango/Salsa (surprisingly!), but it’s still really rumbly. The flexible head moves really easily with whatever pressure you place on it, and the vibrations do not decrease when the vibrator’s head is flexed.

Controlling the Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager is simple in theory. There’s a switch on the shaft of the vibrator, and you just slide it up for “on” and slide it down for “off”. Unfortunately, this switch doesn’t seem to have been thought out fully. It’s really, really difficult to slide it with my fingers completely dry, but when lubricated, it’s impossible. If they would have made the switch raise “up” instead of the little ridge marks they made for it, it probably would be easier. As it stands, I can only turn this vibrator on and off by using the flat on my hand and applying pressure either which way. My fingers can’t get a good enough grip on the switch to flip it.

The Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager should be strong enough for most women – and may be too strong for some! It’s a really strong vibrator. If you require strong vibrations, though, it should work out for you. I wish there were more attachments that seemed better suited to sexual use (even a “flat” attachment head would have been fine!), but you can still get a good use out of the attachments that are included.

To clean the Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager, you’ll just want to wipe down the head of the massager. The attachment pulls off, so you can soak the attachment in warm water and antibacterial soap if you’d like. It’s compatible with all types of lubricant, and be careful about cleaning as the wand itself is not waterproof.

Overall, if you require strong vibrations and want them in a smaller, more-compact package than other wand massagers, the Wahl Mini Wand Rechargeable Massager can deliver. I wish the on/off switch wasn’t so touchy, and I wish there were more than one speed, but it does a good job of vibrating pretty well. If I need a wand massager that doesn’t require being plugged in, this one fulfills that job.
