The Santa’s Sexy Helper costume is a velvet Christmas/Holiday costume sold by Hot Plus-Size Lingerie. It comes in an XL, 1XL/2XL, and 3XL/4XL sizing. The white portions are fur-lined with a white, faux fur, and the straps are a halter top lingerie piece.
The packaging is typical of Halloween-style costumes that you find in October. It comes in a large, vinyl-like bag that holds the costume and shows a picture of the costume on the front. The costume can fit back into the bag after you take it out, but it can be hard to fold it into the bag. For the most part, unless you have lots of hair or pets, you may just want to hang the costume up like regular clothing after you’ve worn it.
Who says that you can only wear holiday lingerie near the holidays? With something like this, you can easily get away with wearing it as a Valentine’s Day lingerie outfit, or you can even wear it regularly as regular lingerie. If you want, you can definitely keep it around until next Christmas though, so it really depends on your own preferences. The dress and lingerie itself is pretty basic, so what “holiday” this leans towards will definite depend on what types of accessories you put with it.
The Santa’s Sexy Helper costume fits pretty true-to-size with the size chart. The 3X/4X size chart says:

I’m on the high-end of those measurements, and it fits me alright. It is a bit tight – especially around the hips – but it does fit. For those who are on the higher end of the measurements, be aware that it will fit pretty tightly up against your skin, but it will fit. This is because the velvet material that the dress is made out of is actually pretty stretchy and clingy which allows it to easily stretch for bigger sizes, but it also means that, at bigger sizes, it will cling to all of your body.
The dress is held on by a halter top. If you are going to be using this as a Valentine’s Day outfit, this large space between the bust and the neck allows you to wear a cute heart-shaped necklace. The halter straps are akin to ribbon that you’d buy at Christmas – no joke. You know that faux-velvet material that ribbons are made out of that include the little twisty-tie on the back so you can tie the ribbon to things? The halter straps are like that. For that reason, if you’ll be wearing this awhile, make sure the straps are flat on your neck to hold up the dress because if they are crooked or sideways, the ribbon halter straps are just not comfortable up against the skin.
This brings me to my next point: the breasts. If you have a large bust or have a bust that isn’t as perky as you’d like it to be, you’ll probably want a strapless bra with this. This outfit does virtually nothing to support your breasts. Think of this plus-size lingerie as being about as supportive as your average tank top would be. For that reason, you’ll probably want a strapless bra, be comfortable going bra-less with no support, or want to do some taping with your lingerie. I’m almost always like my figure better with a bra, so I put this with a strapless bra for the best fit and size for me.
The trim on this is made from a white, faux fur. The fur doesn’t shed too much which is definitely a plus. It does feel soft and fluffy (like the velvet) against the skin, but the backside of the faux fur pieces does not feel nearly as soft. Luckily, for the most part, the back of the faux fur has been lined with the velvet, so you don’t have to feel the majority of the faux fur backing. The only way you’ll feel it is if you reach between the velvet and the fur layer.
The velvet material of this piece of lingerie is stretchy, so keep that in mind when wearing it. The lingerie in itself will probably not flatter your body, but if you want to add accessories to it (a large, black belt around the waist, necklaces, a bra), you can get some flattering looks out of it. If you are on the lower end of the size chart, it’ll also probably look more flattering than on someone who is at the higher end of the size chart for this outfit. While the velvet stretches, it’s going to look best on those who have a bit of looseness on the material.
If you want to wear this outside, you’ll want to put it with some white leggings. The dress barely covers my butt, and while this works fine for indoors, if you want to go out, it’s not very practical. The white leggings will look cute with the outfit and still accentuate the red of the dress. You can then pair it with heels or do whatever you’d like.
The instructions recommend hand washing and dripping the plus-size lingerie dry. You shouldn’t use any bleach on it. As we haven’t washed it yet, I recommend this course of action for cleaning.
Overall, the Santa’s Sexy Helper Plus-size lingerie is a cute outfit, but it won’t enhance your figure on its own. You’ll want to use other accessories or underthing to make sure that you get your best-looking self in this outfit, but whether it’s for Valentine’s Day or Christmas, you can get a cute look out of it. Plus, the outfit is very, very soft to the touch.
