Jim O. ArtToy Review

This is not my “normal” type of review. Why? Because I’ve never used the Jim O. ArtToy nor have any intention of using it in a sexual manner. I’m one of those people that loves to collect things (as I’m sure you’ve noticed with my sex toy collection), so when I heard that there was a limited-edition sex toy with only 500 copies made, I knew I wanted to have one! Now, I’m just writing this review from the “Jim O. as an art piece” point-of-view.

The Jim O. is certainly an interesting piece of art. It was created by Boris Hoppek who is a famous German artist, and the Jim O. is a handmade toy. It features a woman/man (I’m not really sure?) as a little art piece of silicone. The little legs are spread behind the dildo itself to provide a steady base, and the Jim O. stands up without any issue. The piece features a penis-type thing, a round curvaeous booty, round calves and thighs, a flat chest with two nipples, and a outie belly button. It also has two little poofs of hair on Jim O.’s head as well as hand-painted mouth and eyes (which look like circles)

The Fun Factory Jim O. comes in a decorative and collector’s edition box. The box is very, very different than the typical Fun Factory packaging. It’s a strong, sturdy box, and inside, the Jim O. comes with a collector’s edition book about Jim O. (featuring cute pictures), and a Jim O. pin. It also comes resting in same-color tissue paper. The Jim O. logo is hand-painted on the front of the box. I’ll be keeping the box as it’s part of the collector’s edition as well.

The Jim O. is made out of two different textures of silicone. The body is made out of a much more draggy silicone (Like the G4 silicone toys) that doesn’t have any sheen or shine to it. It’s also much more squishy. The hair of the Jim O. however, is made out of a shiny, more-slick silicone. I’m not sure what the reason for this difference is, but it definitely gives a different “look” to Jim O.

Jim O. is certainly not hard to take care of as an art piece, but it does take some care. Jim O. attracts dust and lint really easily. If you keep it out as an art piece, it will get covered in dust, and as is the nature of silicone, it will be pretty difficult to just dust it off. However, a quick rinse under hot water gets all the fuzzies off and leaves the dildo looking brand new.

As an art piece, Jim O. is certainly interesting and stands out. I wouldn’t say that this is a good piece if you regularly have children over (or adults who are uncomfortable with this type of thing), but if you’re someone who likes to decorate with kinds of “progressive” art, this piece will fit in. You can pick the best color for your home, and if you want, you can easily hide Jim O. if you have more uptight people coming over (like I plan on doing).

And just because I seem to take my dildo to the park instead of any children, here are pictures of Jim O. at the park! Yes, like, a “real” outside park. Don’t worry; no children were around for the taking of these pictures.

hahaha! UNBELIEVABLE! :) Somewhere around this time I also made a photoshoot of Jim O. in Poland :) I thought that a street art toy should be presented in a “natural” street art enviroment :))) Aha! Important – for kids it’s just a funny “rubberlike” weird monster :) You dont have to give them full description of how to use it ;) and why. Saying it’s a piece of art wouldn’t be lie neither :)))
