“The Best of Lucy Felthouse” is an erotic e-book full of five different short stories that were written by Lucy Felthouse and featured in other collections. These stories are different in theme, and each one will take about fifteen minutes to read. The e-book is 45 minutes long, and it is available in PDF and ePub versions.
I love the idea of an e-book. After all, with in-print books, you do have to be careful about letting the cover show to other people as it usually talks about the book being an erotic book. With an e-book, though, I can easily hold it in my Sony eReader without anyone in public knowing that’s what I’m reading. On my Sony eReader, the book is 45 pages long, and it is formatted fine.
This collection is best for those who love plots but aren’t interested in reading a full-length book. Because each story is longer than the typical erotic anthology story book, you get more a plot, but because there are five different stories included in the book, the book isn’t just one large, one-plot book. It has multiple plots for you to enjoy.
Lucy has a writing style that is extremely easy to understand. It isn’t that flowery, too-much-description writing that can sometimes be found it romance novels. Instead, her writing uses words that flow well together to really showcase exactly how the characters are feeling. I feel like some of the flowery language of romance novels never really explains that desperate passion that can go together with a darn good fuck, but with Lucy’s language, you understand that the characters are desperate to have sex with one another, and you can almost feel their pleasure when they finally get what they want. It’s really refreshing compared to some other writing that almost makes you have to re-read the paragraph three times to understand all of the descriptions and action.
During the reading of this book, I did find myself wondering about reading more writing from this author which is something I rarely do. The sex scenes, honestly, aren’t anything too unique. They are well-written, but don’t expect a historical plot or something that really makes you go “Woah!” Instead, expect well-written sex scenes that are based around a believable plot that allows for some good, hot sex. Each one of the stories is really different from one another, so you don’t find yourself wondering if you’re reading the same story over and over. Even though the author herself wrote all five stories, each one is only similar in the writing language – not in the plot or the sex itself which is always great.
The stories aren’t too long, but they will take you a bit to read. Expect to spend at least fifteen minutes on each story if you really want to “absorb” all of the details. Some of the stories are longer while some of them are shorter., but each one will probably take you about fifteen minutes to read.
The first story, “A Fantasy Assignment” is an interesting story. It’s about a female reporter who, unknown to her employers I’m sure, has a fetish for men in uniform. When she’s sent on a story for her newspaper to interview and find out about life on an army base, she’s extremely excited. I liked the idea of this one, and my only qualm was that the main female character seemed to be a little too excited before she had even reached the base. Aside from that, the impromtu sex with the army commander in the back of a car was definitely hot!
The second story, “A Lucky Man” seems to be written from a male’s point-of-view about his plus-sized wife. (The author makes her seem plus-sized, but she could just have a larger frame) The character talks about how he can choose between being an ass man, leg man or a thigh man because his woman has all three, and they’re all very nice. He also talks about what he does with his wife sexually and how he enjoys worshipping her body. It’s a really nice story that seems to be written by a guy who is in love (and lust!) for his wife.
The third story, “Posh Boy” is about a woman who has a fetish for exotic vocal accents. She meets a phone-sex buddy on the phone through a mutual friend, and he happens to have an orgasmic accent. This story details one of their erotic encounters where he tells her how to masturbate through the phone. I loved the dialogue in this story. It was very erotic while still seeming like it could actually happen. This was easily my favorite story out of the entire e-book.
The fourth story, “E620” was about a female student in her college lecture hall. The lecture gets boring, so she starts to fantasize about one of the cute boys across the room. It leads to her thinking about being pushed up against the desk at the front of the room and him having his way with her. This one is a good story, but I didn’t feel too impressed by it.
The last and fifth story, “Beach Babe” is about a woman who goes on vacation down to the beach but finds that she doesn’t see any cute guys to have sex with. All of a sudden, this large, very attractive man is standing next to her. Problem is, he doesn’t speak English! Oh well. They still make it work as she makes it obvious she’d like to have sex with him, and they both do exactly that. This one had the cute aspect to it (he doesn’t speak English), and it was neat how she showed her desire without words.
Each one of the stories provides and brings something unique to the table. None of the stories stand out as the “most creative” stories I’ve ever read, but each one stands out as being authentic, having great writing, and really showing the passion between the two characters in the sex scenes. If you want some great sex that is surrounded by a good, enjoyable plot that makes each story unique, check out The Best of Lucy Felthouse. Thanks to Lucy for sending me a copy of this erotic e-book for my The Best of Lucy Felthouse e-book review.
