The Paulina Vibe is one of the new G4 vibrators from FunFactory. This neat, new vibrator can be purchased from Babeland. The vibrator is about eight inches long, made of body-safe FunFactory sillicone, and it has a diameter of about an inch and a half at the widest point (near the base). The tip is about an inch in diameter. This vibrator is waterproof and rechargeable, and it recharges through FunFactory’s Click’n’Charge technology.
The packaging for the Paulina looks simple and stylish. It resembles all of the FunFactory packaging. It displays the product attractively through a see-through plastic tray, and there are magnetic doors on the backside of the vibrator that allow you to see the entirety of the vibrator. Included in the box is a sample of their ToyFluid lubricant, the instruction manual, and the product guide of all of the FunFactory products. The charger for the Click ‘N’ Charge vibrators (such as this one) come in a separate little box. This is because it makes it easier for non-US customers to get the plug-in that is needed for their vibrator. This packaging is suitable for storage, but since it is bigger than the vibrator itself, I tend to keep it out of the packaging.
The FunFactory G4 Paulina is made from silicone. The neat, whimsicle aspect of this vibrator is the fact that the clitoral piece and the shaft are shaped like cute little worms. They even include the face and mouths to be little worms. Along with that, the shaft of the vibrator includes an interesting, ridged texture because of the “squiggle” body of the worm. The base of the vibrator is made from plastic and includes the controls as well as a hole through the middle. This hole makes it extremely easy to grasp the vibrator – even if using it in the water or covered in lubricant. Two fingers will comfortably fit through this hole with no problem.
To recharge the vibrator, this sex toy uses the FunFactory Click ‘n’ Charge system. This is a magnetic system that does not require you to actually plug-in the vibrator. Instead, it uses magnets (much like some advanced computers) to attach the charger to the toy and charge the toy. This allows the Paulina to be completely waterproof as there are no holes that lead to the inside of the vibrator. While I believed that the charging port would be at the base of the vibrator, I was wrong. The charging port is actually towards the back of the vibrator. The FunFactory logo is the magnetic port. Make sure both ends are connected and that it is giving off a red light – otherwise you may have only connected one end or it’s just not charging.
The vibrations of the Paulina is okay. I wouldn’t call it strong, but it’s definitely on the higher side of moderate. The vibrations are more buzzy than rumbly, and as far as I can tell, the vibrations are stronger in the shaft of the toy than with the clitoral portion. The vibrations are pretty darn quiet, though, and you aren’t going to hear these outside of a closed door.
The controls for the G4 Paulina are really the largest problem that I had with this vibrator. Basically, all three buttons to control the vibrator sit inside a little “alcove” with the two, plastic sides coming up higher around where the buttons sit. This means that, unless you have smaller fingers, it’s really hard to push down the buttons as hard as they need to be pushed – especially during use. It’s not so bad to press the buttons down when you are holding the vibrator before use, but once you have the vibrator inserted, it becomes very difficult for me to change the vibration levels. This also is, in part, because I have longer fingernails and the buttons on the G4 Paulina must be pushed down very far in order for the vibrator to turn on. The buttons really are my biggest annoyance about this toy.
The motor for the vibrator is towards the middle of the shaft of the main Paulina worm. This is probably one of the downsides of the vibrator. Because it’s located so far towards the shaft, the clitoral portion doesn’t get nearly as much power as I was hoping it would. There’s definitely some good power in the shaft because of the placement of the motor, but if you are looking for strong rumbly vibrations in your clitoral piece, this one may not pleasure you as much as you would like. If you do like stronger g-spot/inserted vibrations, though, the Paulina does a pretty good job with that.
Insertion is really easy with the Paulina vibrator. The nice head of the shaft does lightly brush the g-spot in a pleasurable way, and the motor for this toy is located right towards the entrance of the vagina which is really senstitive. The little worm’s head doesn’t seem to press down as firmly as I’d like though, so I find myself really requiring more vibrations and pressure in that department. So while the insertable portion of the vibrator is pleasurable (albeit a little thick and requiring lots of lubricant), the clitoral portion leaves me away from an orgasm which is not very fun. However, it may just be my anatomy that’s causing the problem instead of the toy itself.
A neat thing worth mention is the back-lit LED light. I’m not sure what causes it, but if you put your hands near the display of the vibrator (after not touching it), the LED back-light will actually light up. I’m not sure if it’s heat sensitive or what, but it’s really neat, and it actually has “located itself” during the dark when I reach for it. I REALLY love that feature.
Another neat fact: Avoid getting this near your credit cards as the magnetic strip from the toy could demagnetize your credit cards. The more you know, right?
Cleaning the Paulina is easier than some vibrators because this vibrator is completely waterproof. This means that you can completely submerge it for cleaning, and it won’t take on water. You can use warm water and anti-bacterial soap to clean up the vibrator. For multiple-person use, you can use a condom to keep the toy sterilized. This toy is only compatible with water-based lubricant, and since the toy collects a lot of lint and fuzzies, you should keep that in mind when storing the toy.
Overall, I like the Paulina vibrator, but it’s just not the vibrator for me. I feel like I wanted stronger vibrations, and while the design of the toy is really cute, the buttons were a big problem for me. At the same time, the texture was interesting, and I could definitely see this being a good vibrator if it fit your anatomy and you didn’t need as strong of clitoral vibrations. Thanks to Babeland Toys for sending me this vibrator for my G4 Paulina Vibe review.
