I love to keep cute discreet vibrators around – just for the fact that they look adorable, but I secretly know they vibrate. When Pinkcherry.com, a great sex toy distributor, offered to send me one of the Bondage Duckies, I was extremely happy. As you know, I have the travel sized one as well, so I’ll make sure to compare to the two as well. (I now have a sex toy duckie family and this makes me very happy.)
The I Rub My Duckie Bondage Vibrator is a pretty big duck. He’s five inches long, and from bottom to top of the head, he’s about four inches tall as well. He will fit in the palm of your hand, but he is not a duck that you should mentally be comparing in size to those you see in the toy aisle of your local store. He’s definitely a girthy duckie. He’s decked out in bondage gear including a ball gag in his little beak. He’s made out of plastic and does come with a pair of small-sized duckie handcuffs. There’s really nothing you can do with the handcuffs since you can put them on the duck, but they’d fit someone’s thumb (I don’t recommend actually playing with them – that’s just for size reference.)
The packaging that the ducky comes in is pretty basic. It is annoying, though. Imagine those random electronic devices that have the entire perforated seal around the plastic packaging – well, that’s what duckie comes in. It could be worse, but it just doesn’t stop it from being frustrating to get the duck out. The I Rub My Duckie Bondage Duck comes with an advertisement of Big Teaze Toys’ other products as well as an instruction manual on how to use Bondage Duckie. It also comes with the pair of duckie handcuffs.
The Bondage Duck takes two AA batteries to work. The Bondage Duck actually even comes with his own batteries. It’s even more of a pain since, to put the batteries in, you have to find a screwdriver to unscrew the battery compartment on the bottom of the duck. Not a big deal if you just received the duck, but it may be a problem if your batteries die in the middle of your playtime. You just slide in the batteries and screw back on the battery compartment lid.
The Bondage Duck is also slightly (slightly? Who am I kidding? Try “ridiculously”) hard to turn on. Like, it’s a fight to the death with this duck. It could be my whimpy little fingers or something since my boyfriend can turn it on and looks at me all smugly, but pushing down on this duck’s back to get him to switch on is downright hard. There’s a button that’s located underneath the plastic surface of the duck that turns on the vibrations, so you just have to push down on the duck’s back to turn the duck on. Sounds easy, but it’s not. I promise- it’s not. Like I said, it could be my pansy hands, though, since my boyfriend can do it no problem.
Another thing about Bondage Duckie is that he’s pretty darn loud. If that’s not a problem for you, then he’ll work out great since his single-setting vibrations are pretty strong. However, he is definitely a loud little duckie and could easily be heard through a closed door. His vibrations center in his beak and his tail area, so when you’re using him, those are the parts you should focus most with. Because of his strong vibrations, it’s also pretty easy for your hand to fall asleep/go numb while using the sex toy.
To be honest, I liked using the duck for a body massager more than a vibrator. It’s plastic, so it can be used with any kind of lubricant which makes it great for massaging oil. Because it has two vibration points, you can put the duckie on its back on your partner’s back, and it will massage any muscles that are sore. It worked great as a body massager. So even if it doesn’t fit your body correctly to achieve an orgasm, you can still use this adorable duck as decoration or for giving massages to your partner.
The duckie is also waterproof. He held up well to being underwater for awhile. He also floats, but in his attempt to float, he’ll actually fall over to one side like a poor little lame duck. Either way, he does float and will stay on top of your bath water.
The full-sized Bondage Duck Vibrator is going to be huge compared for your travel sized one. The travel sized one is slightly larger than the regular sized one’s head. The travel-size takes one AAA, while the full-sized takes 2 AAs. The travel-size uses a battery compartment on the bottom that you need a coin to open while you need an actual screwdriver to open the full-sized Bondage Duck’s battery compartment. To turn on the travel-sized duck, you need to slide a dial. To turn on the full-sized Bondage Duck Vibrator, you need to press down on his back. Overall, they’re replicas of each other in appearance but are pretty different when you get down to owning them. Both are great little duckies but depending upon your preferences, you may want one over the other.
Overall, I love both of my little ducks, but I’m also very happy about my new I Rub My Duckie Bondage Vibrator. It’s great for in-home or bathtub use, and if you like to live on the kinky side, the bondage duck is a great decoration as well. Pinkcherry.com sells these little guys, so head on over there to get a I Rub My Duckie Bondage Vibe to call your own. If your preference lies with the smaller of the two, they sell the Travel-Sized I Rub My Duckie Bondage Vibe as well.
