Pretty In Pink Wrist Cuffs Review

Pretty In Pink Wrist Cuffs
Showing the cuffs

UPDATE MAY 2020: The Pretty in Pink Wrist Cuffs are no longer in production. This review remains for anyone who wants information about these pink bondage cuffs.

The Pretty In Pink Wrist Cuffs are a set of wrist cuffs. The cuffs are made from leather and suede – the leather is pink and the suede is the black backing. The cuffs are about fourteen inches long, and the pictures on the EdenFantasys product page are accurate. At the smallest setting, it fits a wrist that is about two inches (at the widest point) in diameter, and at the largest point, they go up to three inches in diameter.

The packaging is very basic. These cuffs come in a plastic bag, and there’s a little tag that hangs off of the cuffs that’s easy to cut off. This packaging is a plain bag, so it’s not worth keeping, but it does protect the cuffs during shipping from getting fuzzies, lube, or other things on them.

I love almost all of my Ruff Doggie Styles items. I own quite a bit of their stuff, and I’ve only ever disliked one of their items before, so I had some high hopes for these cuffs. I loved the design on them, and I loved how they looked kinky while still looking slightly feminine; it’s a good look for bondage material to get away from the same-old, same-old that can tend to happen when everything is black or darker colored.

Showing how thick it is

The cuffs themselves are cute, and they definitely are well-made. The leather is thick, and the stitching is really well-done. The rings are all sewn on really nicely, and you won’t have any issues with the rings falling off either. The buckle is a locking buckle, so you can slide a small lock through the lock hole in order to lock these cuffs onto someone’s wrist. The little shiny O-rings (aside from the D-ring) are decoration-only, so don’t expect to be able to do much with those. Those O-rings do pull away from the cuff enough to be able to attach something to it, but I would not expect that to hold as a bondage anchor point, so do be careful about what you attach to it. They are just there for decoration. The cuffs definitely have the sexy smell of leather, but it’s more of a subtle scent than an in-your-face one.

The cuffs are extremely comfortable to wear, and they feel soft against the skin. The backside of the cuffs is a leather material, and it doesn’t feel scratchy at all. They don’t feel too hot, either, so you won’t get sweaty underneath the cuffs. The cuffs feel like the right width as well, so you won’t feel like they’re too wide or too thin. However, the D-ring of the cuffs doesn’t freely move like other D-rings, and it can be a bit firmer. This means that your cuffs don’t really make any jingly noises when you move around which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preferences.

The issue, however, comes with putting on the cuffs. This problem decreases over time because the leather of the cuffs softens as you use them. However, when you first get the cuffs, it’s near-impossible to put the cuffs on any tighter than the second loosest setting. With time and lots of use, it gets easier, but at the same time, it will never be all that easy just because those O-rings actually make that part of the cuff straighter than what regular leather would be. This makes it hard to curve. So if you have smaller wrists, this may end up being a large problem like it was for us. Larger wrists, while it was hard, did fit into the cuffs with a bit of loosening of the leather, but smaller wrists are more of an issue because that part of the cuff tends to resist bending.

The other big issue is that the locking buckle doesn’t seem to fit very well into the holes of the cuffs. The holes are actually slightly too small for the buckle which makes it really hard to get the locking buckle through the holes while putting it on another person. However, they aren’t TOO small, so forcing the locking buckle through the hole a couple times before attempting to put it on a person seems to get rid of that problem. However, when that is coupled with the fact that it can be hard to bend the cuffs onto a wrist, it can be very frustrating if you haven’t loosened the holes beforehand.

Cleaning these cuffs is pretty basic. Leather doesn’t like soap, so you should never use regular cleansers on this. Instead, you should get a slightly-damp washcloth and pat down the material of the cuffs. From there, you can lay them out to dry. For storage, in order to loosen the leather, you might want to store them cuffed up instead of laying flat like I do for most of my cuffs.

Overall, while I love the design and the comfort of the cuffs, these can be some downright frustrating cuffs if you don’t work them over before use. If you have smaller wrists, you may just find them too frustrating completely, but if you have regular or large wrists, just make sure to loosen the leather and the buckle holes before attempting to actually use them.
