When PinkCherry.com sent me this male masturbator for review, I was actually very excited. My boyfriend and I have been thinking about gettine one of these for him to use for a long time now. It always seems like there are so many toys out there for women while very few for men, so I figured it was time he got treated to something as well.

This Sex In a Can is made by the famous company “Fleshlight”. This is one of their series that is intended to be more discreet then the rest of their Fleshlight series. They’re made to mimic beer cans. All of their Sex In a Can toys are eight inches tall and the inside “flesh” is removable for easy cleaning. The “flesh” material is also made out of Superskin which is a material that is made to mimic human flesh and feel very realistic. All the inside sleeves with Sex in a Can products are all pink.

The product I received was the “Abbey’s Secret Ale”. In my personal opinion, it has the nicest packaging of all of them. The can itself is grey, but the sticker on it is a dark, deep brown. It has a robed monk (with her cleavage exposed?) on the front along with the title. The back of the can talks about how the Sex in a Can series is discreet and pleasurable. The top of it has a can pop-top on the top to encourage the “beer can” look. It’s slightly discreet from a distance. However, if you get close to it, you’ll notice that that the can is eight inches tall, the pop top is fake, and the back panel talks about its use as a sex toy. However, unless you know what to look for and are digging around in someone’s possessions, you wouldn’t think twice about this if you saw it on a shelf.

The inside of my can was the “lip” shape. That means that the top of my fleshlight sleeve was in the shape of female lips. Scarily enough, the lips look very realistic. There’s even little cracks in the lips just like regular lips would have. As a female, that’s my favorite part of this male masturbator sleeve – how realistic it is and the details they put into it. If you buy a different one of their Sex In a Can products, you may get a different orifice on the top of your sleeve. Abbey’s Secret came with a little one-time use lubricant as well. It also came with a little full-color cleaning guide and advertisement for their other products.

Size Comparison. It's sitting next to my Dr. Pepper. The colors even match!

The can itself opens up on the top for use. It’s just a screw-top that comes off to present the top of the fleshlight itself. The bottom of the can also screws off for easy cleaning as well as to take off during use if you prefer. My boyfriend is of average size, and we didn’t find any problems with him touching the back of the Sex in a Can during use.

This wasn’t a bad fleshlight, but my boyfriend reports that it was just too tight. It uses the mini speed-bump texture which he says felt really nice, but there was just too much pressure to fully enjoy the fleshlight itself. However, if you take the cap off of the bottom of the fleshlight can, it will relieve a lot of the pressure and make it a lot more pleasurable to use. Be prepared for a mess with the lubricant dripping out of the bottom though. It may just be my boyfriend – he’s unexperienced with Fleshlight products, so if you’re more experienced and want something tighter, this will probably work really well for you.

I also recommend that you keep a towel or paper towels handy during use. Before you play, lay out paper towels and your lubricant. This is because the can itself doesn’t have any handle or grip holds. If your hand is completely lubricated, you will have a difficult time actually using this male masturbator. I recommend you put a towel between your hand and the toy or just wipe the excess lubricant off your hands before you begin.

Since I obviously can't go around cutting open my toys, this picture is from fleshlight.com. It shows the inner texture of the Sex In a Can.

Water-based lubricants are the only option for this male masturbation sleeve. Because of the superskin material, silicone-based lubricants could actually end up harming your new male sex toy. Otherwise, it’s really easy to use your new Sex In a Can. First off, before use, there may be a white plastic tube inside the sleeve to give it its shape. Remove that first. Ours didn’t have it, but I know some do. After that, you need to lubricate yourself thoroughly as well as lubricate the Sex In a Can itself. (I recommend you pour some lubricant right along the edges of the sleeve while you hold open the mouth as well as slipping your fingers inside and lubricating it thoroughly.) After that, you slip inside. If you feel pain, it means you and the male sex toy aren’t lubricated enough, so you should lube up and try again. Otherwise, you’re set to use it to your heart’s desire.

The mouth shape.

I will explain the cleaning process as best as I can, but if you’re worried about it, don’t be. Every Sex in a Can comes with the instructions for use with full picture guide, so you don’t have to be confused about it. Basically, you just remove the sleeve itself from the Can casing and hold open it’s orifice and allow the water to run through the toy. Stick your fingers in and clean out the excess ickies as well. Water is the only thing you need – soap will harm the toy. After that, just lay your sleeve out to air dry. I recommend cleaning the inside of the casing as well (or at least the bottom tray) of excess lubricant or whatnot. Do not put the sleeve back into the container until it has taken time to completely air dry. Hold it upright, and if any water drops out, it’s not ready yet.

The Abbey’s Secret Sex In a Can toy is not meant for shared use. If you want your partner to use it to, why not just buy another one? It’s safer that way. Another nice feature is the fact that you can warm it up. If you like it to be warm for use, just run the sleeve under warm (on the edge of hot) water before you begin to use it, and it should be warmed up for use.

I recommend this Sex In a Can product for any male (or couple) who wants to add something new into their masturbation habits. It can be incredibly arousing to watch your partner use it on themselves or to use it on your partner yourself. PinkCherry.com, a really great sex toy store, sells this amazing sex toys. You should pick up your Abbey’s Secret Ale Sex in a Can here, or you could also choose from Pink Lotus Lager or Spread-Eagle Brew. Whatever your taste, there’s a Sex In a Can that fits it.
