Sweethearts Rocket Glass Dildo

The size of the dildo compared to my hands

The Sweethearts Rocket Glass Dildo is a DonWands glass sex toy sold by Pink Cherry Sex Toys. The dildo is made from Pyrex glass, is about eight inches long, and at the widest point is an inch and a half in diameter. However, that diameter is only around the head of the dildo. The majority of the glass toy (the shaft) is just an inch in diameter which is much more useable than the large head. The shaft of the dildo is covered in little red hearts while the rest of the sex toy is completely clear. The hearts are slightly raised off of the flat surface, so they can be felt with your fingers and during use but aren’t extreme.

The Sweethearts Rocket Glass Dildo, like other Don Wands products, comes packaged in a large, plastic blister package. The packaging comes with the glass dildo, a small sample of Wet Platinum Silicone Lubricant, and a nice, puffy pink storage bag for your dildo. The storage bag definitely leaves a positive impression on me since I’m protective of my glass toys, and you could easily drop the dildo while in the storage bag without doing any harm to the toy itself. The storage bag is soft, cottony-plushy, and it has a drawstring to secure the sex toy in the bag when not in use.

One of the things I love most about glass is the fact that it’s so easy to insert. If you just dab a bit of lubricant on this dildo, it inserts really nicely and really easily. Unlike most glass toys, I did have to use a bit of external lubrication just because of the large head of this toy. Most glass dildos usually don’t require any external lubrication for me. Handling the dildo can get a bit slick at times, but Don Wands did include a little flared base at the bottom, so it’s pretty easy to grab onto that little base for the leverage that you need for easy usage. I don’t find my fingers slipping around on the dildo too much during use – even if my fingers are lubricated.

I like the Rocket Glass Dildo; I do. However, I can’t say I’m amazing fond of the huge head that this sex toy happens to have. The head is much larger than the shaft itself, and I find that this actually makes for a bit of an odd insertion. However, I know some people have had success with this style of toy for g-spot stimulation, so if you have a really sensitive g-spot, this large head should actually be able to stimulate it when angled in the correct way. I haven’t had any sort of success with this, but my g-spot is stubborn in the first place, so I can’t say that I expected any sort of success. If you do have success with most glass sex toys, you should be able to find a way to angle this on in the correct way for g-spot stimulation.

I actually liked the design of the hearts on the shaft of this sex toy. I didn’t find that the hearts made much of a difference during use as I really couldn’t feel them. They are very subtle sensations, even for the fingers, so I can’t say that I was expecting to be able to feel them during use. The neat thing is that the base does allow this dildo to stand up, so you can actually use this as a display piece when not in use. (If that’s your thing.) So even if you can’t actually feel the hearts on the dildo during use, you can still benefit from the attractiveness that the hearts give the product and how cute it makes the product look instead of being a plain, clear glass dildo.

The storage bag around the dildo

You don’t have to worry about a Pyrex glass dildo breaking. Sometimes, it amazes me how much people are afraid of glass sex toys breaking during use. Pyrex Glass is extremely strong, and it’s the same stuff that people making cooking glassware out of it, so it holds up well to abuse. I’ve tapped mine on counters, tables, and a lot of other surfaces, and you’re only in danger of breaking your glass toy if you happen to drop it from a tall distance onto a hard surface such as the wooden floor. Even then, it won’t always break. However, do be on the look-out for any sort of chips in the glass as it’s unsafe to use if you do end up chipping it. The storage bag that the Sweethearts Rocket Dildo comes in pretty much protects it from all of that stuff though.

Another thing that glass can be used for is temperature play. Your glass dildo can be slipped into warm water or cold water before use to temporarily change the temperature for that session. Unlike stainless steel, though, glass stays comfortably at room temperature when not in use, so you never have to worry that this is going to be frigid when you pull it out.

This dildo is compatible with all types of lubricant, and it can be sterilized by bleach for multiple-partner use. I highly recommend storing this dildo in the nicely padded pouch that comes with this glass sex toy. Make sure to look over the dildo for chips before use since using that internally does not sound pleasurable.

I’m not much for straight-shaft dildos, but this one ends up being a good sex toy. I much prefer a slight curve in my toys, but this one is still easy to insert and doesn’t cause me any sort of problems. The texture, while not extreme, makes it still interesting to use, and if you want to start experimenting with texture, this dildo is the perfect choice since the texture, while subtle, is still there. If you have any sort of romantic holiday coming up (Valentine’s Day, anyone?), this one is cute because of the hearts and everything as well. While the head makes insertion a bit awkward, it’s still a subtly textured toy that feels pleasurable during use, and it’s one that I’d pull out again in the future. Thanks to Pink Cherry Sex Toys for sending me the Sweethearts Rocket Glass Dildo for review. You can check out other Don Wands dildos as well.

very pretty. I wish the hearts were more raised so you can feel them more intensely during use.
